So this site got revitalized? Figured Betcoin kinda secured a monopoly on BTC poker. Maybe nitrogen could compete but no one plays the guarentees, just novice players jamming pre flop in the freerolls  Cry

It's really a shame, blockchain tech is the best thing the online poker industry could ever hope for yet rooms still lack big volume!!

On the other hand I think that the BTC sports betting industry is booming!

Yeah, I think so too.  But the thing is with online poker, the traffic is going down on all sites across the board.  It's not just BTC poker.  The poker boom is gone and I don't think it will come back anytime soon.  I think most people thought of it as something like a fad and jumped on the Chris Moneymaker bandwagon trying to follow his footsteps.

I can use the site but some days it is very crashy.

Probably the worst omen is the disappearance of the krill freerolls; the real ones I mean.

Did anyone ever say what the deal was with that?

Nope, the site hasn't had any upgrades after the new version of the software came out. Only the PC client for windows is available right now.

Usually once the WSOP streams on live television, the traffic on poker sites usually goes up. I would expect the same for bitcoin poker sites as well.

kind of hard to monopolize when you lie and steal from your players, there's a thread here on btctalk about all the shit betcoin has pulled, and its not a short list.

Is there a rep for this site on the forum? I've sent multiple emails over the last few weeks requesting to work with the site as an affiliate, and I've received no response. Have they stopped accepting affiliates?

No rep on this forum unfortunately. Try the chat, they used to have some people there at the time I used to play. Your best bet is to keep emailing them, no luck on this forum.

There is a rep on this forum, and it is I. Our affiliate manager recently left, and those of us who are taking over his responsibilities are going to have to learn the process. It may be a week or even a little longer. We apologize for the delay, we sincerely appreciate your interest in becoming affiliates, and you WILL be hearing from us. As I said above, the silence is over.

I hope you realize that like 2 posts of saying absolutely meaningless stuff isn't really "silence is over".  Now, let's address some issues.  Why does it take a site more than 1.5 years to fix hand history log output?  There's like 4 lines that need to be fixed, but the issue has been purposefully neglected for over 1.5 years.  You realize that for a site such as yours, one that is not licensed or regulated by any authority, nor implements any provably fair processes, hand histories are the only way for players to catch foul play?  Historically, any public accusation of collusion, cheating, superusing, or unfair RNG (ya, ya, i know rigtard) always needed hand history data to verify the legitimacy of the accusation.  This is how superusers on AB were caught, how colluding rings on Stars were caught, etc.  Hand histories are the only source of reliable data for players but you have refused to fix the 3-4 lines in the log outputs that would render the hand histories actually useful.

For those who haven't heard, Carlo wrote a script to fix the broken HHs, and it's available for download here:

http://sealsclubhouse.com/hand-history-saving-script/

Carlo was kind enough to include the source code as well. I haven't tested it out personally because I feel like I should at least glance at the source before I install random code I find on the internet, and I have a lot of other things higher in my priority queue at the moment. I have no reason to believe that Carlo is anything other than completely honest, but it seems like due diligence to do so.

While I greatly appreciate that Carlo has taken his own personal time to fix a problem for free that someone else is nominally being paid to do, and then release it to the general public rather than keeping it to himself, I feel like this is really a stopgap solution at best. Carlo said that he did this without the approval of the SWC devs, which is understandable given that they have been missing in action recently, but it also raises some concerns.

If solutions like this become the norm, it means that more technologically savvy users are going to have a big advantage at SWC. If the devs had blessed Carlo's script, I would think that more users would feel comfortable running third-party software to get non-broken HHs. As it stands right now, you either have to know Carlo well enough to trust him to write non-malicious code or have the skills to read and understand source code and verify/compile it yourself.

I also expect that in a minute there are going to be more than a few people who have HUDs running on SWC. However, if you don't understand how to hook in HEM or whatever, you might be playing at a pretty big disadvantage and not even know it. I understand that at least one user has had a HUD running on SWC for a while now, but hasn't released his code/modifications to make it work to the general public.

I think that it would be great if the devs could vet Carlo's code and give it the SWC seal of approval (arf! arf!), or ideally, just fix the SWC code so you don't have to fire up an additional process every time you run SWC to get non-broken HHs. Better yet, hire Carlo on a consulting or longer-term basis to fix the SWC code. This is something that should really be integrated into the client rather than run as an adjunct process for performance and security reasons, if nothing else.

I may have been a little unfair and overly harsh in my criticism of SwC poker.  There are a lot of things that really need to be improved: hand history logs being the most critical. Of course some of the recent cutbacks really sucked for the players most affected by them.  However, even on SwC Poker 2.0, with new management and all, I've never had any issues with depositing/withdrawing and I've always been paid promptly and accurately.  I guess it speaks more to the sad state of online poker these days, but SwC is probably the only poker site where cashing in and out is a fast, smooth process.  During my recent nomadic wanderings around different poker sites, I've noticed that a lot of them have really confusing terms for collecting bonuses or qualifying for X promotion.  (E.g. In my recent trip to site XXXXX, 2 different live chat support staff didn't fully understand how their own site's tables starter promos actually worked or how the TS table lists were generated.) Moreover, SwC doesn't stonewall, delay, or discourage players from withdrawing their balances under hidden-TOS pretenses.  If there's nothing else that can be said about SwC, at the very least, they are pretty clear about how things work and player expectations are generally in line with site actions.

I will still hold SwC management to all the promises of bug fixes, software updates, and new clients that they've made over the past 1.5 years.  (Second plea for hand history fix.) The ridiculous delays are still unacceptable to me.  I am going to soften my stance on the return of the krillrolls or any new promos, because I do understand that as it stands now, these promos are simply not financially sustainable.  I hope that management realizes that the site has lost a lot of formerly loyal players in a large part because they haven't rolled out any improvements or kept any of their promises since 2.0 rolled out.  I am still pessimistic about their track record of making changes, but I do sincerely hope they make some positive ones, and do so very soon.

SealsWithClubs was hands down the best poker site I have ever been a part of.  Everything that I hoped a poker site would get right, version 1.0 did.  Because of the history, I had really high expectations for SwC 2.0, and admittedly am disappointed thus far.  However, even if the current SwC doesn't meet my somewhat lofty standards, it still holds the same respect for player funds as the previous version did (something that sadly cannot be said for many other poker sites).  Although the steady departure of players make me nervous, nothing that I've witnessed suggests that the site wouldn't be able to pay out all player balances at a moment's notice.

I hope the players and management can work together to turn the fortunes of this site around.  The BTC world still needs a SwC, and there's nothing about the site that is fundamentally unfixable.

This is the statement from Razzle that we at SwC have been waiting for. He has several legitimate complaints, and we are well aware of what needs to be done, and frankly, needed to be done long ago. The hand history saga is too frustrating and boring to get into details, which no one would care about anyway. It would just sound like excuse making, and the time for excuses is long past.

However, he is generous and fair in the above post, and more importantly, recognizes that our track record of financial integrity is beyond reproach and will remain so. Let me state again...customer funds are 100 percent segregated from any other operating, marketing, staffing or other cash we hold. In fact, we keep a reserve beyond the total of customer deposits, in case of some unforeseen catastrophe where everyone wanted their funds at once.

We've noticed that Razzle has come back to SwC over the past few days, and we were very happy to see that. Despite his famous temper, he is someone who will start games, play anyone, help keep games going and who cares about the site. A true online pro, in other words.

His last sentence bears repeating: "I hope the players and management can work together to turn the fortunes of this site around.  The BTC world still needs a SwC, and there's nothing about the site that is fundamentally unfixable."

We'd like to add that it takes courage to admit that you might have been unfair and too harsh, and we thank you for doing so.

Thinking about giving SWC a shot.  Any PLO games running ?
BTW I would not have considered this is Betcoin would just admit that  their casino games were capped for the win amounts and players were fixed to lose at over 75%.  Not that I ever expect to win at a casino game nor did I lose a bunch. However, seeing thaT makes the poker RNG questionable at best.

As of this moment, there is 1 HU PLO table running, 1 6max PL Big O/8 table running, and quite a few PLO tables that are open with 1 person sitting waiting to have a game started.

BTW I would not have considered this is Betcoin would just admit that  their casino games were capped for the win amounts and players were fixed to lose at over 75%.  Not that I ever expect to win at a casino game nor did I lose a bunch. However, seeing thaT makes the poker RNG questionable at best.

Where did you see this?  Link?

I think every btc poker player who's been around for a while owes something to SWC for getting the whole btc-poker arena started. Those early days were great times. I'd love to see SWC dominate the field again, and feel a bit guilty for not having played there recently. Hmmm ....

It should be the other way around.  SWC has the people of Bitcoin to thank for providing the site with traffic and action.  Without those people, SWC would be empty like it is now.  The same goes for all the other poker sites.

In the early days there weren't other viable options, so we didn't have anywhere else to go other than SWC. And they did a decent job as well ... at least that is how I remember it.

Sure would be nice if someone else got something going.

Finally had a decent game going and it got trashed with everyone getting disconnected.

Assholes in chat don't even bother with excuses anymore.

ATM there are two limit  HU games period with, supposedly, 172 players online.  I never believe the players online number, it has to be puffed.  Even the freerolls rarely make 40 players.

What a sorry bunch of trailer dwellers.

Or do they run this operation from underneath a bridge now?
