I can't believe people are willing to pony up $200+ for a tournament where you never know when your cards will just vanish or the site will super lag and you'll never even get a chance to act.  It was fun enough in a 5 chip mix game tourney where you're pretty short stacked to see AAKK in plo, and then the site lags and you watch your hand get folded before your buttons even ever showed up to act, I can't imagine how much more brutal it would be in a 250.

I love the lowball and mix game tourneys even at low stakes, and am a fan of the new schedule bc I'd play those games for basically any stakes however small, but for the love of god please fix the brutal connection issue that has been going on forever and ever now.  The site never has more than a few hundred people and never more than 50-60 in any single tourney so I don't understand how this is still an issue after so long.  Really this should be issue 1 2 and 3, why should anyone ever risk significant amounts of money when the connection can drop with no warning at any time.

1. No much but if you register for Hu action  you will get action but sometimes you'll have to wait long time for action.

2. It's auto for all players. You can find the details here https://swcpoker.eu/promotions/

I second the general concept and HTML5 in particular seems the best option.
We have heard the community loud and clear on this matter. It has been added to the development path.
And still you have it 4th on the list ? Don't you guys realize you can knock the rest off the list if you were to give it a higher priority ?

There is much work to do, and it was difficult to decide the exact order. The precise ordering of client development was based on available resources and partial client code. We feel that most players prefer to play on a client so they can arrange multiple tables on the desktop, however we understand the desire for browser based play.

Thank you for your feedback. While most users play without frequent major issues, a handful of players have reported similar problems. This issue is tricky because it seems to only occur in certain combinations of Windows version & hardware. This bug is known to us and we have deployed resources to fix it.

There wasn't a single DC and only a couple barely noticeable hands w lag during that tourney.  I play the mix games almost every day and haven't DC in at least 6 months. The software is running as good as it ever has for me right now.
Also, shoutout to greedx who did battle somebody competent hunl 10-20 . . .  but he barely played any hands and ran as soon as he was up a bit lol.  Still, I do enjoy railing the HS big bet games, even when the matches are short.

I've been unable to log in to my account for some months now. Has it been locked? How do I regain access to it?

Currently the only way to log in is via our PC Client.

If you need help recovering your account, drop an email to: support@swcpoker.eu and we will sort it.

I just tried again from a Windows VM and it worked this time.

I was able to log in to SwC for a couple of days, but this morning when I tried it was back to not working again.

I took a look at the GameClientLog.txt log file and saw it was full of errors like this:

OFC has undergone significant improvements since launch

This is 100% untrue. OFC still operates less reliably than it did at Grid Poker, and there have been no other improvements (with the exception of adding HU tables, which I do appreciate).

They only have a Windows client so if you use Linux, a VM seems like an obvious choice Wink

Sometimes SWC connection problem in VM is related to making sure it's using a "Bridged adapter" in Network settings. Although this problem (working for few days) doesn't sound like that.

Why do you feel the need to connect from a VM?

I've been unable to find any non-Windows client, and I don't have Windows on any of my machines.

Thoughts from 2nd weekly 12 game high roller:

Structure was much better, 3 hours for that tourney, if it remains one table, seems perfect.

There was only one glaring error that should be fixed asap - the presence of antes in limit badugi/badeucy/badacey/2-7 td.  While antes have always been present in NL SD 2-7, there are no antes for any of the other draw games, whether played cash or tourney.  Ever.

Though I was happy to win, we made a deal before anyone was eliminated that 2nd place would get their buy in back.  So after winning, I sent 250 chips to Legalizeit0, an account that has never played before.  Would he have done the same? I hope so but have no fucking clue.  If support could make an appearance to confirm a deal or provide some type of player protection in these instances that would be great, too.

Otherwise, it was a fun tourney once again.

So after winning, I sent 250 chips to Legalizeit0, an account that has never played before.

A bigger concern would be that it's a multiaccount.  In a 4 or 5 handed game, especially an omaha or draw game, being able to see double the cards is a massive advantage.  In fields so small, I'd be very weary of brand new accounts/accounts that don't normally play those games.

I use Oracle's VirtualBox, have used XP in the past, but Win7 also seems to deal with it fine.  I've had the Bridged Adapter setting cause issues.  Whichever setting you have, try the other.  I have also had minor issues with other PC software, and sometimes choosing different virtual hardware fixes something.  I can't speak to VMware, and don't know if anyone uses that.

I'm using VirtualBox too. Switching the network adaptor type from NAT to Bridged seems to have fixed the problem.

I quite like the table-started rakeback promo. I played small stakes for a few hours, made ~10 chips in profit and then got paid 2.5 chips in rakeback for my trouble.

The rakeback payment happened at 4:20pm Pacific time on Sunday, which I guess is 12:20am UTC on Monday.

I'm curious to understand the rules for the rakeback bonus. https://swcpoker.eu/promotions/ says:

Quote
Help us start games and keep them going, and we’ll help you, with 50% rakeback shorthanded! All two and three handed play, at any table with 6 or more seats, awards 50% rakeback

but it doesn't say who gets the rakeback. Is it all 2 or 3 players who were dealt in to a 2 or 3 handed game, or just the guy who sat down first? If a game is playing 4 handed and someone sits out, do the remaining 3 players all get 50% rakeback while the game stays 3 handed?

Thanks for clarifying. I think the text on the promos page could use some clarification because I totally misunderstood it. It doesn't matter who started the table, it only matters who is playing 2 or 3 handed.

The issues dooglus posted have been forwarded to the technical team. We suspect that it is related to issues being currently addressed and we thank dooglus and the community at large for all technical feedback. We can assure you it is getting seen by the proper eyes.

OFC has undergone significant improvements since launch

This is 100% untrue. OFC still operates less reliably than it did at Grid Poker, and there have been no other improvements (with the exception of adding HU tables, which I do appreciate).

I play OFC every day and I don't remember the last time I disconnected so yeah they have improved greatly.

We understand our connectivity issue only affects certain combinations of Windows OS & hardware. Some may experience no issues while others will have problems. We have deployed resources to fix these bugs.

We are working on a revised structure for all 12 game and 8 game tournaments, starting with the 12 game high roller. The antes from the draw games are being removed. It is worth noting that we feel a bit foolish for that oversight. The starting stack will be upped to 5,000 and the structure will be slightly steeper than before. We are trying to hit the 3hr mark for the High Roller and around 2hrs for the normal mixed tournaments. We will continue to revise the structure based on feedback until we have it right.

We are looking at the wording on our promotions page. You are correct in saying that the 50% Table Starter rakeback is automatically active if a hand is dealt to 2 or 3 players, regardless of who started the table. Krill rakeback kicks in when 4+ handed, so you are always earning rakeback automatically at SwC Poker.
