Breakingnews Kerpeles owns BTER too  Tongue

It would be crazy if that was true.
Karpeles only owned MT Gox and has made enough money from that to retire for life.

In localbitcoins you can get stabbed by some thug. Everything has it's own risks.

Karpeles probably has all the money somewhere in the clouds.

He probably mix mix mix and SOld!

How does one mix several hundred 1000s of bitcoins though? Especially as a most wanted man in bitcoin.

no need to mix.  no one knows what wallets they're in.  they've been gone a very long time and since no "theft" was claimed we don't know from where to where they went.

The fat guy named karpeles aka magicalTux will never go in jail. If he will put in jail I'm sure it will be an huge pump (and we will reach 1k dollars per bitcoin ).

reasoning?
i think that if he goes to jail we will see a huge dump (because he'd need money then and wouldnt be afraid that much if he get caught)

if he really stole it: i still think he could just be very very dump and bigheaded

Good to see Gox being discussed, from my point of view.

It is also something called Presumption of innocence
  Undecided
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumption_of_innocence

even if he didn't steal anything (which I doubt), he should be guilty of criminal negligence because you don't let hundreds of thousands of bitcoins disappear...there is simply no excuse.  period!

That's exactly happening right now. Has anyone wondered why the exchange rates have fallen by 50% during the last 4-5 months? Someone is dumping all the stolen Gox coins (BTC 850,000 in total). And that "someone" is none other than our fat boy Karpeles.

How can 850k coins disappear without anyone knowing where are they in the blockchain ? This is ridiculous.

I doubt that any part of that amount was sold. They're just waiting to be sold. I remain bearish until i know the fate of this stash.

Edit: Last year Mt Gox announced it "found" a chunk of 200k coins. So where is this amount ? who is holding this ? How will this chunk be handled ?

It is possible. Mt Gox has not released any details relating to the robbery, including the blockchain transactions.

What we know is that the coins were stolen from multiple wallets (hundreds, or even thousands). We don't know the addresses of any of these wallets, and Mt Gox is refusing demands by its users to publish the details.

They think that they aren't obligated to say anything, and this is true. Was the exchange regulated at the end? I think karpeles will never go in jail.

It was a sarcastic phrase, no one know what will happen if karpeles will go in jail. It could be possible that it wont happen nothing.

We can't assume it was him but there defiantly should be some type of investigation into the matter.

The entire investigation in to this robbery is a sham. The Japanese cops are not taking it seriously.

I think karpeles will never go in jail.

He has got good connections with high ranking politicians and bankers (especially in Japan and France). So unlike Ullbricht, he will avoid jail.

Not understanding why a bot was turned off when Japan slept has anything to do with theft. If a bot is turned on and off why is that a bad thing?
