Thats very good. When sites like google and CNN add support for quickly checking btc price, people will eventally see it. If they see a new ticket they will research it and that could potentially be a new adopter.

Even though this is a nice thing, they are even incapable of implementing this correctly (something that a 10 year old can do with minor coding skills).
'Latest XBT News' should be 'Latest BTC News'. Someone should contact them.

It's pretty fucked up that the most "official" ticker symbol for BTC is one that no one really even uses. It's similar to calling a VCR an "XVC."

Also interesting that they add this after the Spurlock episode airs.
They may be moving in the 'acceptance' phase in regards to Bitcoins.

Interesting article but still don't understand why they couldn't just call it BTC like everyone else.

GOLD shouldn't that be GLD and not XAU
SILVER shouldn't that be SLV and not XAG

What drugs are these people in the office in Zuirch smoking?

Interesting that they are treating it like a stock..

They treat it like a currency.

Of course they have to add it to their ticker symbol list after this week's Inside Man episode! They need to appear connected to their news!

Any major news outlet such as CNN simply acknowledging BTC is a positive thing.

I DVR the Spurlock episode the other day, but have yet to watch it. Glad to see him do a show about something that should have been done in 2010.

Its really amazing at what a slow rate the general public is waddling through life, in terms of technology.

Great news! It's nice to hear about a major news service taking BTC seriously.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

They had this documentary about living for a week with BTC and now they get this. Looks like they are definitely pro bitcoin.

Lol!
Not everybody speaks English. AU and AG are the symbols used in chemistry for gold and silver.
Some altcoins follow the standards and their ticker is already 3chr starting with X. Bitcoin should do that too.

Why GLD and not ORO? Why SLV and not PLT? Not everyone speaks English, and these are international standards. That's why they use internationally recognized chemical symbols (Au and Ag), with the X prefix for “not a country currency”.

What I do wonder is, why is there EUR, if the European Union is not a country?

An economy based on endless growth is unsustainable.
