There are 2 listings on ebay right now for Jalapeños - about $250 each.  I assume these folks pre-ordered sometime between pre-orders going live and 7/23 (the date listed for the BFL 1/3 shipment split).

I'm trying to ask them for order numbers to confirm this - and hitting some, shall we say, 'confusion' from them.  I'm just trying to verify that the $100 markup is paying for something Smiley

So having said that - has anyone sold/transferred any pre-orders ?  If so what's the 'logistics' involved ?  Can you change your information with BFL so that the hardware gets shipped directly to the transferee ?

I've done one, but I would avoid eBay like the plague for such things. They are almost certainly scams. Mine was a little hassle because BFL was moving CRM systems and there was some miscommunication, but it got worked out.

If you end up getting a pre-order from someone, be patient because BFL isn't known to respond in a reasonable amount of time. Just send them the new shipping address. (Actually, have the original buyer do that so that they don't think you are trying to scam them).

I sent them an email 2 weeks ago, and they are just now getting to it.

Yeah, so far one of the sellers replied to me and said they have not placed the order.  So they are selling their work of placing your order on BFL's website for $100.  They did not see anything amiss with that (I think I was too polite in my original message to them).

Seems like if anyone was to sell a preorder (the right way) it would be here so I'll just keep my eyes open.

Those listings are kind of fishy. They don't reference their order number at all. You would think that would be a selling point.

EDIT: Ah I see now. So this "service" is for those that do not have BTC handy? lol  Going for the double profit.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote

Cheesy The guy lives in Canada too Cheesy Think that would add to the shipping cost Huh

Item location:garson, MB, Canada

He states "At current network difficulty, this device will pay itself off in 2 weeks, and then be pure profit forever after (less trivial pennies for electricity). "

If he didn't order already & isn't in the first 150 in que,the winner will get his device way too late get in on the lower diff rate (shakes head) as advertised.
So not only is it $100 more, but a lie to boot  Tongue

I doubt BFL will be happy being spammed with emails about order address change etc..

I'm feeling certain degree of craziness which is seldom seen in today's buyer market, in an extreme case, you have to pay everyday to stay in the pre-order queue  Grin Grin

The point of pre-orders was not to buy and then sell with a profit.
