I guest-blogged the following article about bitcoin in V3 Integrated Marketing's blog. The head honcho at V3 is the well-known social media marketer Shelly Kramer http://twitter.com/shellykramer , who is a friend of mine on Twitter (my handle: http://twitter.com/joecascio ). I think it's noteworthy that non-techie blogs are starting to pick up on bitcoin interest. I'm hoping to write other articles for Shelly in the future.

I think this is the first use of the slogan "Cash At A Distance" to describe bitcoin.

Interested in Mobile Payments: Bitcoin is Cash At A Distance http://www.v3im.com/2012/07/interested-in-mobile-payments-bitcoin-is-cash-at-a-distance/#axzz21vqopUGM

By the way, you'll note that one of the commenters is named "FellowTraveler". I think this may be the guy who created OpenTransactions, which is a very nice complement to bitcoin. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Open_Transactions He points out that bitcoin is not completely anonymous as it stands, which is quite correct. I think, though, that to the common user, it requires more technical acumen and wherewithal than they possess to do the traffic analysis required to traceback a bitcoin transaction to a real person.

Your comments are very welcome!

Very well written, unlike some others who type up bunch of nonsense without researching their subject first while call themselves journalists. Good job.

Awesome article! I love it when people do try to make an effort to understand the subject before writing on it.
