Speaking on behalf of only myself:

Any time you swap physical cash for something there's an audit trail somewhere and it can be correlated with the corresponding BTC transaction.

For most people though this should definitely be anonymous enough - for the truly paranoid a mixer which sends the funds slowly over time in several smaller transactions and which keeps no logs is the best approach.

Why so many middlemen? I would recommend just a cash deposit using Bitfloor and then moving the coins out to wherever you want from there.
