the forum should have the option of auto-ignore all ponzi topics.

The forum would be a better place to live if it was implemented

It sounds good but it is infeasible. There is no way the forum can recognize the ponzi threads automatically, as the ponzi owners will just mistype their thread title as "ponzzi" or use other terms like "investment plan".

I think the moderators should find a way to restrict the proliferation of these ponzi schemes in this forum so not to entice more newbies or gamblers risking their money. It will do a great service to the community and uphold the morale as well.

Sub forum for it where there's a post that says it's a scam by default.

Turn off the news and read. Watch Psywar, learn something important about our society and PR, why and how it got started and how it brainwashes you.

I think it was already suggested about making a thread for these ponzies but I think they're just gonna ignore it..

Ponzi== Instant Ban.

What will you do when some people will claim Gambling == Instant Ban as none of them have gambling license ?

Not everywhere in the world bitcoin gambling sites would require a license.

But I think everywhere Ponzis are illegal

Let's just ignore the Ponzi threads and hope they die on their own because at this point we can't do much about them. People have been warned and know what a Ponzi is now and if they still want to throw their money away then it's their problem.

Ponzis and gambling are different.

Most diceBJ etc. have 1% edge. Ponzis has 5% fee when it starts and takes 100% when it ends.

Most gambling sites do not end up as scam. (Yeah right some do.). All ponzis end up scamming.

Gambling = calculatable known risk. Ponzi = Only the operator will know when it is going to stop.
in other words, gambling = you are in control. ponzi = operator is in control

Gambling site may or may not profit. (thought the former is more likely.). Ponzis always make profit to the owner.

Ponzis will not make you win! You just donate it to the ponzi operator. Why not give it to someone who needs it more than him?

Thats what people should do. Last year a similar trend happened, but died out soon, when people stopped depositing in the ponzis. Each year a similar trend happens, and should put an end to them.

  • Don't allow Newbies to create new threads in this section

Agree with this. The good old "newbie cage" was a good system.
