According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I'm probably being a complete noob here, but I have the wallet, it's up to date, but I'm getting "Not staking because you don't have mature coins"

I literally have no idea what this means, can someone help me?

Here's my wallet address just for reference: 2MSxGKDGnuPHK5j9wgdoq9vx8bJQ4AdoZ7

Ahh okay. I'm buying some coins now. So once they're in my wallet for 6 hours, it'll start staking?

Does the amount affect the staking at all?

yes, i dont know how much %, but it seems that the amount of coins gives your "weight" vs the network "weight"
like mining power, more power, more coins.
when you start staking you can see more information

+1 Love it!  Grin

I just added BitBean to BestBitcoinReviews.com and used your Team Bean image. I'll give each person 15,000 Bitbeans that shares either this thread or the BitBean page on BBR on two social networks or websites. Yes, the job has gotten a bit harder my fellow Bitbeaners you must share on two sites and say something about it to get me to spill my beans.

For example:
-Post a link to this thread on twitter and facebook or some other social network or website and get 15k
or
-post a link to BBR BitBean page on twitter, facebook and some other or social network or website and get 15k
or
-post a link to this thread and a link to BBR Bitbean page on any two places, get 15k

Here's a direct link to the bean page:
http://bestbitcoinreviews.com/product/bitbean-alternative-currency-bitb/

Just reply with your posts here and you will get payment within 24 hours, please don't PM me unless you have questions, let's get some traffic on this here thread.

Cheers,
JB

What happened wit my wallet ??
it says " Error loading blkindex.dat"

sorry i'm new in crypto,, and i can't upload the image, could you help me
thanks

that's happened to me on wallets before if the qt closed wrong or my comp crashed... I usually end up re downloading the the blockchain.

Save your wallet.dat file somewhere safe then delete your bitb apps/roaming file (or open the file and delete everything but your wallet.dat) then re open the wallet.

on windows you can find your roaming file in your local harddrive click on  users/(your user/comps name)/AppData/Roaming... there you will find your bitb file along with any other coins files you might have.

I've been staking like crazy all day  Cool I'm up to 13 pos blocks today lol and still 45 mins left Roll Eyes

I'm deff going to have to buy some more to keep competing with the growing network weight

I haven't ever noticed a coin that stakes like this, a decent set pos payout... plus an extremely short max coin age? I can't say I've ever seen the combination before
