I have been into bitcoin for years now, But I would like to try my hand at Altcoins.

Idealy I would like a PoS/PoW that has not yet completed PoW phase. I am however struggling to find this, I think found some crapcoins but I would like a coin of the future.

I ma even happy with a coin that will be there about in the next few years.

I currently have 1x AMD R9 290 (so not alot of hash power) thats why I would like to go for a newish coin.

Is there any coins anyone would suggest.

Thanks in advance

why not mining on a multipool?  you will mine whatever is the best profitable coin and could get paid in the coin you choose.
sadly you won't get much return with your current card, but still can have fun. go with X11.
good luck

This coin has only just come out last few days i am not involved in it in anyway but it looked interesting and it is still in POW for a few more weeks then it changes to POS 8 % daily, it is called e-money if i remember rightly and if i was a miner then i would give a go as the difficulty should not be that high just after a few days. I will be buying some to gain the 8% daily stake though because it is not for long then it is 8% annually which should help it last longer. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=966590.0

most coins who choose to do a POW before POS do it for a very limited period. like a few days or a week. otherwise they just sell coins in an ICO and never have a POW phase. so you only see shitcoins because its rare that something good comes along, and if it does (and its POW/POS) its likely to only be POW for less than 2 weeks.

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

This sounds like Peercoin to me.

The first hybrid cryptocoin to use both Proof of Work to distribute the coin and Proof of Stake to secure the network.

It is also the first cryptocoin to use the Proof of Stake concept.
