Dear Forum members,

I am cleaning up in my stack these days, and found another coin I want to put on the market:

1 x 1997 1oz .999 Silver Austalia Kangaroo - SOLD

Please note that the coin has a few black spots as seen on the picture.
It does not have any noticeable scuffs and looks like it has been handled carefully the last 18 years.
High res pictures can be provide if requested.

The coin is delivered in a clear plastic capsule.

The price include shipping with registered mail worldwide.
The coin are shipped from E.U.

Escrow is always welcome.

Kind regards,
TookDk

Thank you for your interest AJ.

These types of spots are common on old silver. The spots are most likely Silver sulfide spot, which means that the coin has been exposed to atmospheric air.
The airtite, which as far as I can see is the original, is not that tight anymore, this backup my statement about the Ag2S and explain why the spots are only located on the edge.

There is absolutely no acid trace from testing, and I have very little doubt that this coin is nothing but .999 Ag.
The silver looks it age and a magnifier clearly show the fine edges and details from the minting.

As for the "ware'n'tear" the coin show now traces of such, looks like it has never or rarely been removed from the capsule

There is no COA included, I know that some Kangaroo's are sold with COA, especially the newer ones.
I do not know if the COA is lost or just never sold together with this coin.

This is actual a collectible, it just not fit into my collection anymore, I must admit I would be a little sad if the new owner will treat it as a silver bullion.
But on the other hand, the new owner can of cause to do what he want with his property.
