Apple? Right to privacy? http://bgr.com/2015/01/20/iphone-spyware-edward-snowden/“Edward never uses an iPhone; he’s got a simple phone,”Kucherena said. “The iPhone has special software that can activate itself without the owner having to press a button and gather information about him; that’s why on security grounds he refused to have this phone.”

Apple urging citizens not to give up their privacy is a good thing. Why should it result in Apple's end?

Because they are not "urging citizens not to give up their privacy". They are urging them to "give up their privacy (to them)". https://twitter.com/hashtag/applegoodbye

This is not just Apple, it's actually a widespread pattern

The hypocrisy of Apple is unbelievable.
I hate them.
I'd rather support a company that says that privacy is a human right than one who's CEO says "if your'e worried about people finding out what you're doing, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place". REally... For every bash on Apple on this subject, Google is ten to a hundred times worse.

Well, you still have your right to privacy, but apparently everyone else has the right to know your private info if they can get it. @thread Everything "Smart" (TV's, phones...) has the ability to track everything you do, say and watch. In most cases it's sent to third parties for the use of targeted advertisement to you. In special cases it can be activated by authorities to locate/incriminate you. This can all be avoided by not owning above mentioned devices, but we all want our toys... So you have to decide whether you want your shit, or your privacy.

Shutting down encrypted email service just because the NSA can't read their emails doesn't sound like a right to privacy to me. So does the fact that the credit card companies pushing paypal to stop doing business with MEGA due it's end to end encryption.. I mean, WTF ?!

PayPal is an American business so must adhere to the whims of the US tyranny. Send email with PGP and the gov have no power until they just regulate the internet to death ( which could happen sooner than most would believe)

People are using excuses to snoop on our privacy. It's a fact. And how does these relate to apple and its role on helping to protect my privacy. Even on my android phone, I know some of the browsing search history and behavior are being sent anonymously without my knowledge.

Yeah the difference is that Google's honest about what they collect, Apple keeps denying shit that everyone knows...

I hate them.
I hate them too. But I can't stop hating their products. I like Steve Jobs more when he managed the company.

Darkcoin was quoted for a reason: that it adds fungibility to an otherwise un fungible digital currency. In any money system fungibility is what supports privacy.
