He offered me Xbox live cards but went online as soon as he recieved his payment. He's quite the dickhole!
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Hard to believe that someone who registered two days ago and has a token number of posts might take irreversible funds in a no risk scam.

The scammer tag won't do much good.  8 posts?  Je will throw away the account, create a new one, and try to scam another quick coin.
