Wow. Yachting is one of the last places I'd expect to see Bitcoin mentioned, but that is quite cool!

Lol. That's exactly what I was thinking. How did you stumble on this article? So random but glad to see it. Renting a yacht out via bitcoins would be pretty cool. think I'll have to wait a while before I can afford to do so, though .

It has a lot of potential for the yachting industry, the thing she didn't mention is how these boats pass through so many different countries, the value would be the same whether they're in the Med or the Caribbean. I think that would be the biggest benefit.

When you think about it it's not such a bizarre place for a bitcoin article as many seafarers sail between different countries and cultures. A few Bitcoin would be quite useful.

I like this, from the article: To those who say it sounds certifiably looney, he adds, “If you had asked your grandparents about something like a credit card 60 or 70 years ago, they would’ve thought you were crazy. This is the same thing.”

Buying yachts with bitcoin why not. I think people could more easily believe in bitcoin than an over inflated dollar!

Buying yachts with bitcoin why not.
When will these filthy rich jet set people find out, that they could buy a yacht everywhere in the world 24/7 with some taps on their smartphones and do not need to care about bank opening hours, foreign exchange and wiring fees?
