...In Libya

Quote
In February of this year, US Senator Rand Paul said that the US-led effort to overthrow Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 destabilized the region and created what he called a “jihadist wonderland.” Said Rand Paul in comments quoted by The Wall Street Journal, “Gaddafi was a secular dictator… Not the kind of guy that we want to have representing us in country, but he was secular. He didn’t like radical Islam, and he kept them down because they were a threat to him. What happened when we toppled the secular dictator? Chaos. More radical Islam.” Senator Paul called the Libyan intervention “Hillary’s war,” noting the fact that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed for the US to get involved in the conflict, and said that it had empowered and armed extremists that would later turn against the United States.

Now, The Washington Times is reporting that former US-backed Libyan Islamic Fighting Group leader Abdelhakim Belhadj has joined ISIS in an effort to lead a beefing-up of the terror group’s presence in Libya. ISIS has been attempting to spread its influence into Libya, beginning in late 2014 when ISIS occupied the Libyan city of Derna and began training fighters there. The Washington Times notes that ISIS’ strategy for expansion includes the incorporation of existing jihadist groups into a global caliphate, with the integration of Belhadj’s reported Libyan ISIS franchise falling in line with that plan.

Right on schedule, or shall I say, by design. Rand was calling it like it was from early on. Hillary did the bidding for the neocons by starting this mess all the while in the background the weapons were being transferred into rebel training grounds where this new ISIS would grab hold of them and funnel them to their migrating counterparts and thus the region boils over into the current mess. Standard US foreign policy throughout the years. Destabilize, topple leader, make the region worse and then facilitate the rise of new terrorist groups. Rinse and repeat, always create problems.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

pushed for the US to get involved in the conflict, and said that it had empowered and armed extremists that would later turn against the United States.

Seems to be a common theme. The US did the same in the 80's by supporting the mujahideen during the war against the Soviets. Little did we know the mujahideen would later morph into al-Qaeda:

Quote from: Soviet War in Afghanistan - Wikipedia
The Soviet war in Afghanistan lasted over nine years from December 1979 to February 1989. Part of the Cold War, it was fought between Soviet-led Afghan forces against multi-national insurgent groups called the Mujahideen, mostly composed of two alliances - the Peshawar Seven and the Tehran Eight. The Peshawar Seven insurgents received military training in neighboring Pakistan and China, as well as weapons and billions of dollars from the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and other countries...

...Contingents of so-called Afghan Arabs, foreign fighters who wished to wage jihad against the atheist communists, were also present. Notable among them was a young Saudi named Osama bin Laden, whose Arab group eventually evolved into al-Qaeda.

Which is why it's not smart to topple dictators by funding and arming any so-called opposition group. When times change, the weapons will be used against you in the end. Thus the failure of the "enemy of our enemy is our friend" mentality of part of the foreign policy. These guys in the Pentagon and the State Dept love just sitting there and playing chess w/ our money w/o care or concern for how present actions will unfold later on. Incompetence or downright intentional malfeasance that is being aided and abetted by these politicians that don't ever put a stop to the behind the scenes games.

The US and its allies have created the ISIS. This is a sad truth. In Syria, they created the FSA, which simply defected and joined the ISIS. Saudis and Qataris, the most important American allies are openly supporting the ISIS. And now the Libyan ISIS.....
