I understand the need to control PM spammers but as a legitimate user who may have 3 - 4 trades going an any one time, this limit is a bit prohibitive.  I either have to take the trade to email or chat. or wait the hour if they still want to trade.

1.  Is there a way around that limit.
2.  Does the board prefer that members take conversations to other channels.

Thanks.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I have to agree this is a horrible limit.  I have only hit it a couple times but when it happens it is often the worst possible time.

Can the limit can either be:
a) averaged over larger period of time.  i.e 10 per hour = 240 per day for a bot but a limit of say 50 per day is less likely to be a problem for a human.

b) raised for senior members (or maybe for donators).

c) while I hate this idea I would happily pay a micro tx over not being able to send the message at all.  This is bitcointalk maybe long term there should be some ideas on integrating bitcoin into the forum.

It's a core feature of SMF that theymos cannot change easily. There is a couple of old posts about this, but its bedtime.  Wink

so it's not even possible to change it from 10 to 15?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

You'll need to ask theymos to explain on that.
