Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Invest in alternative coins (altcoins) and then accept BTC as payment on the forums and other places where it is possible.

I invested roughly half my btc investment into altcoins and now i have managed to gain back the original half invested into altcoins, so for the last few months i have been freerolling even with a few coins taking a dump on me  Shocked Grin

There are obviously more ways to make more but i have yet to gain the adventurist mentality and risk it for a biscuit, i might go into loaning soon have been thinking about that recently.

Good luck with your future plans

Altcoins are usually not what I would call an investment, but the short-term trading can be exciting and very profitable.

You forgot to mention about providing services. I prefer to hold my bitcoins in secure offline storage leaving only a small portion on my phone for spending. If I see a good trading opportunity, then I'll take my chance to see whether I can increase my amount. But most of the time, I would buy my stash whenever the price is good.

Could explain a investment to me then please because i am confused  Huh

I see an investment as investing x amount of money into anything where by i expect to get a return and i ie i invest into a 'altcoin' in the hope i can grow my bankroll.

I invested into the new/old coin and made a return so my investment was a good one   Roll Eyes

How do you make money in any currency?

Earn, sell, trade, steal (the last part is not condoned by me or Bitcointalk.org, hahaha).

Bitcoin is merely another currency, it operates the same as other currencies.

Beware of companies that will offer you rediculous percent return in a day for your bitcoin, they're likely a scam.

I don't go from fiat-> bitcoin I only do bitcoin-> fiat. All bitcoin profits are made from loans, which I get from programming services. Also signature campaigns. I always like holding less than 0.5 bitcoin in my blockchain wallet, and I usually have the rest in a loan, btcjam, or in fiat.

To me it seems, that by a buy investment Bit_Happy means something that can be bought and hold, as opposed to something that is an investment in the shorter time perspective.

Sorry, but "profits form casino" sounds a bit oxymoronic to me (been there, seen that). It is not given that trading will earn you anything in the end, but it is with casinos. That you lose everything eventually.

You could profit by investing in the casino bankroll but you will likely lose if you play against the house.

This could work in theory, but worthy casinos (like PrimeDice bitcoin casino) don't allow investing in the casino bankroll (as far as I know). On the other hand, scams like DiceBitco.in did just that in the past, so it is all six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Sorry but still confused here's why, i brought a couple of coins when they was about a 3rd of the price they are now so i brought them and i held them, 1 of them for near on a year until it go where i had a feeling it would. They are 2 different things either investing in a coin or trading a coin where i never mentioned trading a coin. Hope that clears that up.

I see im not the only one gathering ideas for some extra returns. Right now im trading both altcoin and bitcoin , not much profit there since i mostly
do trades that are prety certain to be profitable ones, i just dont like large risks of not being able to rebuy. With altcoins its a different game, there either you will big or loose, but theres little volume, so not worth investing much.
Im curently thinking about giving loans, it seams like the safest bet if u take a good collateral, worth of giving a try.

cheers
