I wouldn't play it because it's a game of the last second. It reminds me of auction sniping. If you want to win you can check the addresses a minute before the deadline and quickly send a transaction to win. I bet you could even write a program to do it for you. Anyway, congratulations to the winner!

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Kinda but you would also need to account for the thing that is in second and  hope that nothing beats it, or else you're screwed. I would be risky to do.
