send one to a person who hasn't sold out for samples; yet so we can get a real opinion.

Are you doing any little device for hobbyst?
We'll certainly be trying to diversify our catalogue in the future to meet various needs.

well with no plans for a home or hobby miner of either scrypt or sha256 that I know of in the works anymore from any other company at all..being the only game in town
..even if small potato's in $$$ for your company...would be a great PR and word of mouth product at least ...imho....I've always thought of home/hobby bitcoin miners as the 'cheerleaders' of bitcoin ...bringing the idea of it all to the masses so to speak....

(just want a toy to keep mining at home...all them cute LCD's and the soothing whirly noise of the fans....good to have goals .....man i need a life ) lol Smiley

p.s. avoid at all costs the 'pre-order' model.....shudder...hopefully such will not be the case for units made by your company.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Oh and really nice to see another company being nice with new company!
They're not exactly new..
Sfards is the result of the recent merger between Gridseed and WiiBox.
..and that merger was months back.

who doesn't want to get in his gb?!?!
I'd certainly get in on a group buy for chips + datasheets + people with the skill and time to build miners around them.  There's plenty of people here who could do so and have done so in the past.

Though..
Are you doing any little device for hobbyst?
We'll certainly be trying to diversify our catalogue in the future to meet various needs.
..gives some hope for people wanting some (unROIable or otherwise) home miners.

Is this silicon re-badged new SPT design/mfg ?
Now don't get the conspiracy people all excited... SP did mention Scrypt plans at some point, after all Wink  But no.

A mod deleted my post about Dogie's welcome notes
Seems to me all the posts with pictures / memes got zapped.  There's still derisive textual posts re: Dogie.  While I understood and partially agree with the message, I can't say I'm sorry to see the aforementioned go.  A bunch of threads have lately turned into trollish lulzy meme picture-fests.  Let's save SFARDS from that treatment.

Very tangentially related:
send one to a person who hasn't sold out for samples; yet so we can get a real opinion.
How about instead just sell one to a person.  There's certainly no lack of people who would love to do a review...if they get the gear for free.  I know - crazy talk.  Though if they must, I'd say let them check out Dogie's guides and that bunch of Legendary SP20 reviews, and  decide on a reviewer based on whatever tickles their fancy in those reviews.

Hopefully these units here will be more accommodated for home mining. Many of the miners released nowadays have 60+ dBa fans that make mining in a home infeasible, unless they are in a basement or garage. It's about time a mining company shows home miners some love  Cheesy

ASIC Wannabe

The SF3301 is the first of a new generation of dual-algorithm mining chips, the world’s first 28nm with the capability to mine SHA-256 and Scrypt simultaneously. The advantages of this ability translate to an extended period of effectiveness for the miner and increased profitability.

By using FDSOI technology not currently present in any other chip on the market, power efficiency when mining with SHA-256 is predicted to reach below the 0.3 J/GH range, and 2.0 J/MH when mining with Scrypt.

why do both types on mining in a single device? On a single chip at that? is it really practical to design two complex slgorithms in a single chip, instead of producing a sha256-miner and a scrypt-miner?

sorry - but a picture of a front desk doesnt do it for me, and I hope you dont go looking for a pre-order

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I don't know if it's practical per se - but it's been done before at 40nm, by essentially the same company; Gridseed GC3355.  I can only imagine it was lucrative for them, at least.
