Trading Altcoins has been a fun pass time of mine for the past year.
One thing that I have noticed along the way is that almost all the coins that have come out have falterred after their initial push onto major exchanges. I am sure you have all noticed that over the first month of a projects listing it has jumper 2-100x's its initial price, and then all the fanboys take thier profits and run onto the next project leaving bagholders with no capital to continue their growth.
there are very few coins that have bucked this trend. Some have been able to maintain some interest, and have been able to keep their total marketcap at a fairly high and balanced amount,
IE: XMR, DASH, PEER, LIGHTCOIN
but a very small amount have been able to have further growth after the initial rise in value.
In fact I have only found 4 coins that come close to showing continued growth, and even in these two are to young to be sure, because the rise in price could be because the initial pump has not ended yet.
these projects are

FACT
https://i.imgur.com/79OZf8f.pngBoth FACT and ETH show this trend over a very short time period so its hard to tell if it will continue.
XEM

VNL
https://i.imgur.com/Y7ZanZp.png VNL is my favorite of this list showing a clear three part growth/bubble cycle. as far as I know there is no other coin that has done this to date.
however you want to take this information is up to you, but if you are like me and you are hoping to catch lows in developing coin project, while not being left carrying heavy bags of worthless alts, I would hope you consider looking at the long term trend line.
of course all the other projects charts show that it is easy to make a quick buck at the beginning of a coins listing by buying early and selling fast.

Oh and please post any other coins charts that you find that have at least two peaks one higher than the last, and two lows showing the second floor to be higher than the first.
also if you can find one that has 4 peaks and floors with this pattern other than BTC please please post it. because I will want to invest =)
