It could have been his staff. If there's no evidence they can all point at each other and simultaneously say "it must have been him". Anyone with physical access to the servers could have pulled it off, and I heard their physical security was useless. |

All I have read in the media pointed to mark karpeles draining mt. gox accounts and he is being prosecuted right now no?

I was looking at the leaked list of accounts which the supposed Mt. Gox "hacker" posted.
One thing you notice is that SOME of the names are "censored", but the names of Americans, Europeans and Russians do not seem to be censored. Just guessing here, but maybe the "censored" names are all the Japanese names. Why would the hacker remove all the Japanese names, but leave in the foreigner names, unless of course the hacker was Japanese.

Maybe you have a point. Yeah, the location might be in Japan but it doesnt mean that Japanese people are behind it. |
