Virwox has proved to work for me too. Of course there are charges, but its easy and pretty fast to use, especially if the blockchain isnt going slow. Good luck!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I don't like it. Fees and bad prices make it not really viable if I lose more than 5% on converting to dollars. With a lot of money that makes a huge difference, most investments pay out that much after a year so bang there goes your profit just converting to dollars...

I used VirWox and ofc it's plagued with fees... If you have time and patience you could use it with caution.

Yea I tried them once, fees are WAYY too big. Localbitcoins is a much better deal but then you add the chance of being chargebacked. I have stopped using paypal for those reasons

Mostly nobody trusts newbies with regards to PayPal transaction even if Escrow is used. The reason being a chargeback. They will tell you to wait for 180 days and then send the bitcoins and I don't think you will prefer that.

No one trusts anyone with paypal unless they are EXTREMELY trusted. I wouldn't trust a random hero or senior. Only trust companies with paypal, otherwise forget using it with bitcoin.

Local bitcoins.com and filter by PayPal. You as the buyer will have to send as gift so you can't chargeback.

Still, even with the reduced risk the rates are quite high on paypal, Easily a couple 10$ higher than the actual price of btc. I reccomend just using interac e-transfer, paypal is not worth it IMO

That is true. Cost wise its cheaper and less of a headache than virwox if paypal is the only option. I agree with you though. Paypal is pretty crappy to buy BTC with.

Its completely awful. Much higher rate of scam, much higher fees and price you pay, and its alot slower. I find no reason at all in using it. Also paypal can freeze your account at any time if they find you dealing with cryptocurrency (so many stories about this)

You can use your paypla balance buy bitcoin in btc-e.com, in paypal there are too many scammers, and the price is ridiculous expensive there.

They like to scam newbies or who are not familiar with bitcoin.

Btc-e.com is one of the most famous bitcoin fiat exchange, so you can buy there, it's very reliable. The fee is less than 5% I think, you can try there. Wink

Btc-e does not accept paypal, I don't know where you got that from. Unless your talking about the chat, but I don't trust anyone from any chat to do any trading or dealing with. 5% fee is still quite a bit. Thats a couple dollars off a btc.

Paypal should start selling bitcoins securely themselves Smiley It would be a real convenience for a lot of people and I'm sure they could profit quite a bit.

They should but theres still too much volatility for them to be able to use it properly and not have too much profit swings baed on the price. As soon as paypal knows they are not going to beat it they can embrace it and add even more profit. Maybe paypal actually might add an escrow or actual support for btc-> paypal transactions to reduce scams.

I don't know of one besides virwox and the fees are outrageous. Plus, there are many limitations on amounts on top of that.
