Did Coinbase removed function to sign a message or I can't find it? Link to Coinbase article about signing message on this tutorial doesn't exist anymore

Yes, I think so cos even blockchain.info it doesnt give any option sign a message from the new addresses glad i still have the old ones.

By signing a message, you can prove that you are the 'owner' of a certain wallet address. You can prove that you have the private key to a certain wallet address.

You make a message
Sign it with your private key
That results in a hash code
A third party can verify 100% whether that hash code is valid
Without having to know your private key

Does that answer your question?

would like to have this quoted and verified as i am the owner of this address
Sorry... this doesn't verify... Sad

I think you've not posted your message properly... it should be like this one, without all the <>'s:

You can do that with Trezor or Electrum wallet for example. You only need a message to sign.

You can verify a signature with this online tool: https://tools.bitcoin.com/verify-message/

You can't sign a message from exchange btc address, because it's in control of excange and you don't own this address.
If you have slow internet and you don't want to download any software, you can easily sign message from Blockchain.info wallet address, just follow tutorial.
