I recently decided to imitate some other posters I've seen and add an address to my signature on these boards.  I'm just wondering if anyone actually sends bitcoin to these addresses, ever.

Have you ever received any?  How much?

I received one bit-cent a long time ago. And a payment through my signature too. That's it.

Point being, unless you did something marvelous, no one is going to be tipping you for jack. Tongue

Donations are welcome!

I've received donations on an address I published in a blog post, but not from a signature address.

I've received three bitcents. I decided that there were better things to do with a signature, and more profitable too Smiley.

Just checked, and saw that I got 7.2785 coins in total. I suppose I'm helping people a lot here.  Grin

Reading this post prompted me to remove my donation address from my sig. I just link to my various bitcoin services.

EDIT: Added my vanity donation address back in. I'm infatuated with Bitcoin, so I just like to show it off. I've sent a few pennies to some sig addresses, mainly to help out new users.

Yes, 20.06304038 btc in total. If you're providing a service here on the forum or elsewhere and it can't be easily monetised, it's a good idea.

I have received multiple unsolicited donations to my sig address; it's also handy to say "just send it to my sig" when dealing with small-value transactions that don't need to be anonymous.

I've gotten two donations (bitcent range). Unfortunately the first one is when I found out that I had not correctly pasted my address, it was sent to oblivion. Angry
