Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

For those of you who have trouble disconnecting from the computer at night because you have work or things to do try this:

How to setup your task scheduler to automatically shutdown your pc at night

This way I always go to bed at 1 am if I have to stay up late. Eventually you start to manage better your time to be done before 1 am most nights and my body thanks me the regular sleep time a lot. Smiley
