does anyone know if you can still buy shares privately?

Please go back some pages. The question comes up regularly and is answered regularly. Maybe a sticky thread should be created to link to fast...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=159194.0

It's the 5th search result for ASICMINER and still on the first page of the securities forum...

If I buy a Passthrough share, do I receive some of the BTC the company mines? I'm not expecting miracles, though, like ROI in a month or such (especially that I couldn't really buy more than 1 single share, which I guess is considered ridiculously few), but still I'm interested in the concept - is it somehow like a mining contract?

Yes. In the order  of 95% of dividends are paid through  the PT shares. But do your  own research to  be sure.

I _really_ hope this is true.  With BFL's shipping seeming to actually get closer by the day, we need to boost our hashing power just to keep steady.

12 hours ago, the network hashrate is estimated at 64 TH.  ASICMINER lost 3 TH at BTCGUILD yet now the network is estimated at 67 TH.  I don't think Avalon batch 2 or BFL shipped (other than a few 5 GH test units).  I know it could be standard deviation but it's rather interesting.  ASICMINER deploying new units and solo-mining?

His latest number announcements regarding the upcoming deployment:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99497.msg1620438#msg1620438

Still more than one week to finish the first clause of ASICMINER's investor protection. Smiley

687 Bitcoins have been excluded from the dividends to pay for the premium of pcb production, assembly and components of the next batch, as well as the operation costs.

Thanks for the update and dividend !

By next batch, do you mean the other 6TH or the 50Th ?

Thanks
The ~50TH/s batch.

AND

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99497.msg1626598#msg1626598

The next batch will come at the end of this month? And what will be the timeframe to bring them online, now as you made contracts with workshops and so on? Any estimation?
I only wonder how it will be handled that asicminer lacks competition. I mean if really 62TH will be online soon than we will have 200% of the network hashingrate like it is now. Or 66.6% when its online. Competition should start to move then.
Yes. We expect late April to be fully online, but that would require we successfully get enough right employees and there's nothing unexpected during the production process.

We expect a long-lasting, sharp and harsh difficulty rising therefore this will not likely to be a concern. If it becomes very fortunate for us that the difficulty climbs up slow, selling the devices at that moment at a low price as the current market price is not wise and too early. Refraining the hashpower for several days or weeks may be a better choice.

Well, day after tomorrow is the moment of truth... 50 TH/s about to start coming online, can't wait Smiley
Wonder how high the ASICMINER share price is going to be after the first big dividend.

You're just using crappy estimates that are affected too greatly by luck. The "7 day window estimate" at bitcoin.sipa.be is a better estimate and that shows little change in the hashrate over the last week and a half - about 67 Thps.

How friedcat can deploy over 51% network hash power, if BFL continues promise and postpone? Batch 2 of Avalon  is not so big, and delivery must take a while.

0,1 TH/s is already sold. I expect another 0,1 TH/s in less than a week. Also, people are still buying GPUs (yes, I don't understand it either, but it helps us in deploying more hashrate)

should be about the same as last week right?

Difficulty went up and profits from sales may not compensate for that. On the other hand, tomorrow may start new deployment. So... I don't know Cheesy

They're mining slower this week, 3,331.92 GH/s vs the usual 7k GH/s. I'm not sure if the auction they had last week will make up for it this week.
