Getting this error when trying to launch the new version:

Try replacing your current Bitcredit and BTC blockchain files with the ones from the torrent you have downloaded.
Default windows directory for the Bitcredit files in question are "C:/Users/<user home directory>/AppData/Roaming/Bitcredit"
After replacing the files make sure to turn off the read only setting that may happen.
Once you have done all this run the client using the following command "-checklevel=2"
The easiest way to do this is to modify the target location on a shortcut:
Target: "C:\Program Files\Bitcredit\bitcredit-qt.exe" -checklevel=2

Hopefully that will fix your problem. I ran into a similar error after forcing the client to shut down while syncing.

Could you sent a snippet of the end of the debug.log file? You will probably find an error there, that gives valuable info. If it is possible for you to convert back to the old version in the meantime, do that.

The old version didn't work for me either, It would get stuck on "Loading Bitcredit wallet"

The definitely fastest way for you to get around the problem would be to make a security copy of the bitcredit_wallet.dat and deposit_wallet.dat file and then download the torrent that you can find here:

Once you replace the working directory with the torrent you should just be able to fire up Bitcredit-Qt and be in sync within 20 minutes. Or where you the person that didn't have enough disc space to unpack it?

The problem you are seeing can appear under certain circumstances and is probably an unrecoverable error. Work is being done to mitigate this problem. Unfortunately there are a lot of other things happening right now as well, among them release of the source code. But rest assured, the problem you are seeing have a very high priority.

currently the latest, but I had the same problem before. If I understood that correctly, 1 btc = 1 CRE when claiming, so I already mined more coins than I would get claiming from my old btc wallet.

I had the same problem, so I just created a symlink for the Bitcredit folder in %appdata% to another harddisk. Works like a charm.

Version 0.9.1.11 of Bitcredit client released

A new version of the Bitcredit client has been released. This is a bugfix release that first and foremost solves an intermittent problem with ui freezing when claiming bitcoins.

It is highly recommended that all users upgrade as soon as possible.

Make a copy your existing versions and try to start the new version instead. The transition should be seamless.
