There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Very very important!!!   MasterXchange will be closed in a few weeks.  Please withdraw your all synereoAMPs.  No exchange for synereoAMPs now!!!  Please contact poloniex to list synereoAMPs!!!

Wow... should have used counterparty XCP.

Is there any way to switch to an XCP token without master exchange stealing everyone's tokens?

You have a month to withdraw your AMPs from masterxchange and use something like omniwallet - https://www.omniwallet.org/. While it's not great, there's no need to spend time and effort moving to CounterParty for this. Also, with Omniwallet you at least get your private keys. With MasterXChange, you were trusting the exchange with your keys.

Is masterxchange going to return the private keys for the coins to all of the owners of the coins? I wonder if they will go to jail if they don't. It seems pretty easy to email the users their private keys.

Does masterxchange have a public owner or was it run by anonymous people?

What do you mean by return the private keys? They are a centralized exchange like nearly every other centralized exchange. People have 30 days to withdraw their coins to their wallets - who knows what'll happen after that.

It looks like this scammer deleted their linkedin. Profile Not Found

MasterXChange should figure out some way to return your private keys to you. The centralized exchange holds your private keys for you. They have users emails so they would be able to email everyone their private keys. It seems illegal if they were to keep inactive users private keys and then sell them off later on a different exchange.

Oh the guy earlier posted the wrong link.

Luckily there probably aren't many AMPs on MasterXChange. Some exchanges like DELISTTREX have stolen over 30% of all coins when they delist coins. It's a pretty big blow to the coin and usually kills off the coin. We should feel lucky that Emilien Dutang can probably only steal like less than 0.05% of all AMPs.

I hope there isn't more than 100,000 AMPs left on that exchange when it closes.

I think you can also put them into a bitcoin paper wallet. I put most of the ones I bought into paper wallets.

If another exchange adds this coin then you can transfer them to that exchange.

This coin raised over $100,000 USD. They should pay the 3 BTC BITTREX fee and get listed there. The main reason this coin is unknown is because it's not listed on one of the top 3 exchanges.

Nah Bittrex, Poloniex is much better. You don't even need to pay any fee, fill this form https://poloniex.com/coinRequest and cross your fingers. I think AMPs will be interesting enough for them.

Polo is better right now. BITTREX might make a come back. I'm surprised no smaller exchanges like cryptopia or bluetrade don't add this coin yet. This is probably going to be the next big coin. Like $50,000,000+ marketcap. 1000 BTC volume a day. With possibilities of going to a billion

Mastercoin/Omni addresses are BTC addresses. You can withdraw directly from MasterXChange to a BTC address created through your Omni wallet.

Or you can print out a simple paper wallet at https://www.bitaddress.org Then withdraw to that.

You can then see your balance at https://www.omniwallet.org/

This isn't the actual coin yet. You will have to get it swapped once Synereo is finally released in 2019.

Also there was an additional 600,000,000 coins created. Didn't the people who bought the crowdsale get double the coins?
