the market price was around 3300 the moment the crowdsale price was announced. so it was market price.
now the market is trying to push cheaper prices before crowdsale. ride the whales and enjoy the cheap amps while they last.

Totally false, the devs had nothing to do with it.  Markets behave this way.

Some big speculators entered the market yesterday and drove the price up - probably beyond what was a sustainable level (which you can easily see based on the past 30 day average).  Then they probably went to bed!

You wail about greed of others, but the FUD arguments that keep popping up are the only ones showing greed.

Everything is being done for the benefit of the platform - if the platform does not do well, then NO holders of AMPs will do well.  This is not rocket science!  No one wants volatile prices.

This fundraising is already successful.  The sale will start in a couple weeks,and the market price will move to the rate set - there's no loss for anyone who does not bet against synereo.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone undersell themselves and investors in the way Synereo has just done.

You could have sold the second crowdsale allocation into the market over an extended period relative to demand levels and price and thus allowed Synereo to achieve a peak non price-fixed Alpha valuation, that is potentially many multiples higher.

As it stands you've price fixed yourselves and your investors around price levels AMP was achieving weeks before Alpha, thereby limiting it's speculative appeal.

By the time the second crowdsale is over so will the initial Alpha interest and excitement which generates the multi-million dollar daily volumes and large value leaps start-ups need to make at these critical development points (& which you could have sold into.) I think the decision maker in any other start-up would be fired for this.

It really is quite mind boggling the millions of dollars you've cost yourselves and your investors.

Why should Synereo care about such people more than the people who really are supporters, and are in it for the long haul?  Those people are very happy with the performance so far!  There's no reason to expect anything different over the next 18 months until the next stage.

AMPs were at 20k or so for many weeks - then started to climb last week.  That spike had already peaked, because people understand how to value the project at the stage that it's in, and also for its final state in the market.  There's no reason to suspect it will go lower than this.  Who is going to sell for much lower today that understands what the price will be in 2 weeks?

That's hysterical, 'the spike had already peaked', thank-you all knowing God of investing & when prices have peaked. When has the price &/or volume ever peaked 2 weeks prior to a successful Alpha release?

That speculative interest that occurs just prior too, at and just after release is when interest & volumes peak thereby allowing Synereo to maximise the value they could have attained from the second crowdsale giving the project the greatest chance of success going forward as welling as allowing longer term investors to sell a percentage to those pure release orientated speculators too. As it stands by price-fixing you've killed that critically important speculative market at the most critically important point for yourselves and investors.  

I've already done very well on AMP & have promoted it but it's certainly a frustrating situation to witness the projects potential be undercut in this manner and certainly raises questions going forward.

when the announcement was made (5 hours ago or so https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=995987.1580) the price was around 0.00033. they simply set price at market price at the time of the announcement (which IMO was the fair way to go about it). the dump had already happened yesterday, 14 hours before any announcement.  could have been a whale bailing out after a speculative pump or possibly a whale with insider knowledge (happens in all markets so can't be excluded).  apart from that I think the price is fair. and it is better to buy at the low end of a dump than buying at the peak of a pump. so crowdsale I think more attractive at 0.00033 than 0.0004 (and btw crowdsale price will push up to 0.0004 in the final week).  for how bad a crowdsale is with a coin already on the market , i think they did the best it could be done. I hope to never see another one again though. actually if they could commit to never having a crodwsale again I'd go all in.

Lots of whales are idiots. People have been buying FCT from Factom's company way above exchange market values for a while. Sometimes they just wanna be able to pay directly with credit card, bank transfer, etc. The bulk-buying bonuses help incentivize them.

gotta love 2 post accounts. I think most have already priced in the total 180 million coins in existance. infact they may be even less (I see 60 million now on coinmarketcap??), and might be even fewer soon if some crowdsale coins fail to sell (as they get burnt). there's no new coins being generated for this crowdsale, coins were already allocated for it. so I don't think your math adds up.
