Beyond ranks it would also be quite interesting if there's something like points that can be gained through various means. For instance the amount of people that read and like one's posts, the amount of reputation and post length and quality etc. could be determining factors for such a point system

edit: other than the post right under mine, I was actually not suggesting a point system where points can be redeemed for rewards. Just something more than post count -- I love statistics, and I enjoy getting points for my account's activity.

There could be a "thanks" tab added for useful posts, and then under your user name it could show how many "thanks" you have gotten.

I have been considering what happens after Legendary. The suggestion of a veteran is apt. The new rank of a veteran should be considered.

What about Hero after Legendary as in DC's legends of tomorrow the legends aren't good enough to be heroes so they are legends instead lol.

Good point to think about. But may I ask, Has anyone got to the last activity point of Legendary Member? If so did the person retire from the forum?

For what would another Rank be needed for? I don't see any other perks that a higher ranked member can obtain other than receiving rights to change their names or letting have their own custom title.

If a another is to be added, I say "Satoshi's Best Friend" should be added if the activity is around 2000.

I think there should be a new rank after Legendary that requires x amount of activity but also a huge amount of merit which will then only be awarded to the best contributors here. Maybe even some more special privileges could come along with that rank. I've previously suggested that a Premium donator rank could be created with such privileges as the ability to have an image banner in your signature or the ability to change your name etc and those would be good additions to this rank and something to strive for. There's currently not much that becoming Legendary offers other than the title to be honest and it's becoming far too common now so a new rank would be beneficial in numerous ways in my opinion.

They reduce the number of posts. Instead they use more MERIT points to increase their rank. I think this will help avoid abuse of forum SPAM status.

If only ranking is still based on the old system, I would suggest to add Ancient rank which ranks higher than the Legendary or maybe after the Veteran rank, as most of the posters here suggest. They deserved that rank for being active on the forum for a long time.

Its quite good idea and my perspective is i think a prodigy something like that its cool though with 1300-1400 points i guess its better to have a rank like a prodigy.

It sounds like a good idea, but not one to implement any time soon. Reason would be I foresee more backlash from lower ranking members who are already complaining about the merit system, and how difficult it is to rank up at their stage, and how its easier for already high ranking members. I would suggest we let the whole merit thing be a normality first, then we can implement a new level.

Not a bad idea i but i think instead of that there can be more option like karma. I have seen there is now a days a lot of forum like bitcoin talk that's why i think more features should have added to maintain it's on uniquity.
