The article (for me) is a great reminder of how far Bitcoin has come along since 2011. It really is stunning to see how fast the next stages are unfolding.

Well they should not have any difficulty getting people for those jobs.  Grin .....the Alt coin scene is full of talented people, with great ideas.

It would be interresting to know if the development will be geared towards mining or creating a NEW coin. With them being primarily a chip manufacturer, I would say mining would be the best bet.
This job being advertized for creating a decentralized ledger, sounds like smoke and mirrors.

I always enjoyed the AMD / Intel battles, so let's get out the popcorn and enjoy the ride.  Wink

The blockchain is the underlying technology that lets bitcoin function as a measure of wealth without all those pesky middlemen like banks and credit card companies getting in the way. But bitcoin is widely viewed as just the first application of the blockchain.
