Since I have received a pretty stable stream of requests for escrow I might as well make this official: I am offering escrow services.

Please see the second post in this thread for what information to provide when contacting me for escrow.

I am setup to hold the following coins:

• Bitcoin (BTC)
• Litecoin (LTC)
• Namecoin (NMC)
• NXT (NXT)
• ETH
• RUBIES

If there is sufficient demand (e.g. a large trade) then I would be willing to setup for the following alt coins:

• Dash aka Darkcoin (DRK)
• Dogecoin (DOGE)

I am willing to hold other alt coins on a major exchange however the parties will need to agree to a stipulation that if the exchange itself gets hacked and/or runs away with customer funds (or something similar) then I will not be held responsible.

My fees are as follows:

• Bitcoin - 1% - minimum of .0075BTC per transaction
• Altcoins - 1.25% - minimum of .0125 BTC equivalent per transaction
• Bitcointalk accounts - 1% of the sale price - minimum of .0075 BTC per account
• Signature Campaigns - 3% of the amount held plus .03 BTC every time a payment is made - the 3% is evaluated every time a payment is made to participants
• Signature campaign - you send payments by default - 2% of amount held per month - I would only pay participants in the event that the owner were to disappear
  

My GPG key is F0BEB516 (http://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x532DD290F0BEB516) and my PGP fingerprint is F364 AB33 6F00 9BA4 736C 7F69 532D D290 F0BE B516 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg10829408#msg10829408) - I will PGP sign all escrow addresses involving greater then 0.99 BTC (or equivalent), and when requested. Please verify the signature before relying on it.

I will GPG sign all addresses regardless of the size of the transaction.

FAQ

• Will you leave positive trust after acting as escrow? - Most likely no, especially for smaller deals

When contacting me for escrow please start a group PM with all parties involved copied on the PM. In the PM please provide the following information:

• Who is the seller?
• Who is the buyer?
• What is being traded?
• What is the price?
• Who is paying the escrow fee? - if this question is not answered then I will default to the seller paying the fee when writing up the escrow agreement
• Under what circumstances can escrow be released?
• Reference thread - this is not mandatory, however it will often allow me to fill in a lot of blanks

I would appreciate it if both parties confirm the terms of the trade via PM - one party can start the PM then the other party can reply to all confirming that s/he agrees to the terms.

It is not required to use the above forms, and all of the fields are not necessary however using the above forms will likely expedite the process.

Any reason for the self moderation?

To keep it clean from trolls. For the most part it will not be used.

This user handled my request for an escrow very unprofesionally and even ended up calling me a scammer after I declined to continue using his service. I have posted here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1023038), pointing out how innacurate his accusations were.

I'd advise bitcointalkers to avoid using this service.

Quickseller is very unprofesional, and abuses his position in the default trust heavily.

he already made a second post here that I deleted after I made the above edit. It is not uncommon for scammers to write similar type posts as above in order to put pressure on the OP to give into their demands. Candystripes does this all the time in calling people a scammer in big bright letters despite there being no evidence of such (where is he BTW?).

QuickSeller, you're definitely good and professional, no offense but you could try not to be agreesive, you probably couldn't just hit negative feedback to people who say something bad to you, I assume trust system is designed to prevent scammers. He is not exactly a scammer.

I have never given negative trust to anyone for personal reasons.

I did deal with someone. Quickseller escrowed for us. Went smooth and very helpful. I will use him as escrow next time.

Great escrower. He spotted a scam well before I did and urged me to not do the loan with the band account ( Did Not Know It Was Banned) I am a newbie on the site but great to know that we have each other back.

well i gave him my Recovery seed. yes my RECOVERY SEED which contained 4 BTC. he then spent hours on trying to make it work with Electrum, which it finally did. he then managed to send my coins to my other wallet. Forever grateful!

why would he need to disclose his identity? I wouldnt call dealing with QS risky at all. not everyone needs to disclose their real identity to provide a service; people on this forum usually dont like disclosing their identity first of all, and there are several escrow services that are plenty trusted without having their personal info disclosed.

One major reason he probably won't want to do this is because that would potentially compromise all of his bitcoins. If he made his address and identity public, then someone might break into his house and try to make off with his bitcoins, as well as the ones he's holding in escrow.

If you don't like how QS runs his service that's fine, you should go find somebody else who runs their service how you like instead.

Most other escrow services do not disclose their identity because like me, they also value their privacy.

Additionally the fact that I have exposes a large number of very complex scams (that would likely have gone undetected for a long time, and effectively cost the scammers a large amount of money - they were only able to steal a lot less then what they otherwise would be able to) means that a lot of scammers very much do not like me, and have incentives to slander my name, as they have done numerous times in the past.

I have not spoken to escrow.ms specifically regarding his identity, however based on some of his sent (and received) feedback, he probably regrets allowing his identity to be public. Also escrow.ms did not disclose his identity when he started offering escrow services, his identity was previously well known for various reasons.

To argue that I should disclose my identity because I do not plan on scamming is similar to arguing that I should allow the police to search my home with no probable cause because I have nothing to hide, or that I should allow the government to listen to my phone conversations and emails because I have nothing to hide.

It doesn't matter what you're buying. Posting outside Meta or sending PMs while banned is considered ban evasion. You were told to stay away and come back and ask nicely later, but if you keep evading you risk losing your account forever.
