Title: YNAGS - Sports picking website
Post by: YNAGS Team on April 21, 2015, 08:05:58 PM
Hello,

We would like to introduce YNAGS (www.ynags.com)

We have developed a system for almost every sport which we use when making sports betting plays.  We build our systems around quality not quantity.  It is not uncommon to go multiple days without a play.  We like this approach as it helps to cut down on the swings of sports betting and it is the swings that most people can not mentally handle.  A bad swing will sometimes cause the most disciplined sports betters to start raising their unit sizes to chase the losses on a bad down turn and this will usually cause them to go broke.  We do not chase losses and we do not make multiple unit plays.  We simply develop strong systems and then flat bet those plays to profits.  We believe in the slow and steady approach.  Its a marathon not a sprint.

As of right now we just finished the NHL season +21 units and hitting 80%.  We will not be betting any of the NHL playoffs.

The NBA season is almost over but we still have a bet here and there.  Our first playoff bet was a few days ago taking Houston -5 over Dallas and that hit.  Before that bet we had about 18 days of no bets.  Like i said before, this is not uncommon, we choose quality over quantity.  Our NBA system was finalized very late in the season so the tracking for it is very limited as of now and will be that way until the end of next season.

Right now we are in a down period.  We have a play tonight for the NBA Playoffs but they will start to become more rare and we will soon close up the NBA for the year.  We have the MLB but we dont start making plays until June or July.  There is also the WNBA in June.  Until then we will have little if any plays. Mainly we wanted to get our name out so that we will be familiar when we start ramping up again in June and July.

We can guarantee that if you played our plays and only our plays you will win money and you will be profitable in sports betting, we are that confident with our systems.

You will need to register and sign in to be able to view the daily picks and they are totally FREE of charge.

Again, we have a NBA Playoff play tonight posted on the site.

We hope you will use our plays!

I just registered on the site, and in the Daily Picks section all it shows is : "
April 21, 2015
Houston -6
"
Which wasn't really clear as to what sport it was, even though I am guessing its basketball as -6 wouldn't be easily possible in Baseball/Hockey. Would be nice to have more information along with the pick.

Thank you for the feedback.  For now on we will add the teams mascot as well so make sure plays dont get confusing.  We are contemplating implementing a picture next to the pick that would show what sport it is.

Thats essentially what I said, and you are just quoting me :) I just suggested to add the game type as not everyone is too much into Baseball and Hockey, and might get confused if he sees a bet he has no idea about.

i agree youre definitely correct. theres alot of non american sports bettors who may not know who houston is or what sport, as well as me being american i would not know who any of the soccer, cricket, or rugby teams are.

to the OP very good suggestion here by vennali to updats all picks with the sport its from to avoid confusion

hi! nice site, but why enforcing to registering if the service is suppossed to be free?

We would like to be able to keep track on the number of people who are using our picks.

But yes, right now the picks are free.  In the future that might change but it would be a long way down the line and nothing to worry about right now.  The only way we would ever consider charging would be if we have shown to be successful across all sports for an extended period of time without having any donations coming in.

We do not expect any donations right now and dont expect them for awhile.  When we have proven that our systems work and we make people money we might appreciate a donation then but certainly not until than and that wont be for a while considering we wont have somewhat consistent picks until the mlb and wnba systems get underway in June and July.

As always though, its a donation and since it is a donation you do not have to donate.  We play our own plays as well so we are making money overtime on our system in that way.

Why would the marketing/support account for a sportsbook enter into another thread and troll? On top of that why would they troll a thread that might drive traffic to them in the future?

Believe it or not we are going to be adding a sportsbook page soon with links to the different sports books we have found to be legitimate for both bitcoin and fiat.  I dont think its in your best interest to troll someone who might drive some traffic to your site seeing as you do have a sportsbook.

Very odd way to be treating a marketing/support account.  I would suggest next time logging out and logging in with a personal account if youre going to troll./

Don't be angry, that casino usually trolls in other threads to gain traffic and attention, I saw many times. Sometimes they even post their ref link(must be marketing manager's ref link).

Their shareholder report said they lost 60BTC in last 6 months. That's why they post in other threads, because they have to find customers in other threads.  ;D

Btw, your site is very cool, designation is awesome!!

What questions would you like us to answer?  We already said we want people to register in case we move to a paid for model down the line.  Again, this would be way down the line.  We are setting up the infrastructure to support that if that is a decision we decide to make.  What you can not see from a users front end is everyone has a user level of "unpaid" as of now and there is another user level of "paid"  This is to set up the infrastructure to make changes in the future easy if we decide to move to a paid structure.  Again, if that ever happened it would be far in the future and because we did not receive enough donations.

Also, if you are concerned about your personal information being stolen or sold or used in some way you dont like and you think that is our plan then simply sign up under fake information.  It literally is that easy.  Open up a new gmail account, it takes literally 60 seconds and then use it for the email and use a fake first and last name as well as a username you dont use anywhere else and a password you dont use anywhere else.  That should in theory (but more like absolutely) alleviate you from all the concerns you are mentioning.

Please let me know if i am missing something.

During a code review we were told that our database was vulnerable to attacks. We were also informed that the hashing we were using for users passwords was outdated and also vulnerable if someone got access to the database. We immediately put off everything else we were working on to address this serious issue. We are proud to announce that we have now fixed the vulnerabilities that were pointed out to us. This of course comes with an inconvenience. We were presented with two choices:

1) Work on a reset password page and require all users to reset their password during their next login

2) Create a new database and destroy the old one forcing all users to create new accounts

We chose to go with the second option and here is why. With the first option it would have taken more time to create the password reset page and make sure it was working and then running through regression tests to make sure it did not cause problems anywhere else. We decided that because of the extra time that it would have taken it was better for our users if we created a new database and got rid of the old one. This is an inconvenience but we believe it was the correct decision. We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused.

Users will have to create new accounts next time they want to access the daily picks page.

Might want to keep a record of wins/losses as well as the unit size bet per game.

I doubt people want to tip/invest in people with unproven records. Consistently post 60% winners for a month and then you may see subscriptions.

We never asked for tips or investment.  If you go back and read our posts it clearly says we do not expect any donations until after our MLB and WNBA bets start and show plenty of profit.

We are not sure where you are getting this subscription thing.  Our picks are free and its free to register.

OP, my suggestion is that you should put some ads on your site, that way it would make making the picks worthwhile.

That way, you can get some profit for your time, and people will not have to pay for "Premium Picks" or anything else.

Then what is the point of sharing sports picks? You want to eventually charge for them. I don't think people give winning/profitable results out of the goodness of their heart.

The only stats/records I see is from NHL where you picked heavy favorites.

Maybe I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here. Either way, good luck.

Again, we do not charge for premium picks.  We said that if we do that it wont be for a long time and not until we have shown proven profit in every single sport.  We also stated that if we received enough donations we would not worry about charging people for premium picks.  But again, if that ever happened it would not be for many months.

We do plan on adding ads to the site.  It is something we are looking at and working on.

Thanks.

We encourage you to go through and backtrack picking only "heavy favorites" in the NHL and see how that turns out for you.  Personally, we would argue -150 is not a heavy favorite but even if you consider that a heavy favorite we do not just pick heavy favorites.  We have systems for every sport that we follow strictly.  We do not make a play because we feel like its a good idea.  I think you should read the about us on the site.  We make systems for every sport, systems that have been back tracked over years and proven to be profitable over every year backtracked.  Once we have a system we like we stick to it and we flat bet it.

Again,  We encourage you to go back through this past season in the NHL and backtrack how you would have fared unit +/- unit wise if you simply bet heavy favorites in the NHL.

Furthermore let me break down the NHL for you.

There are 30 teams in the NHL and each team plays 82 games.

That is a total of 2460 games for the entire season.  Over the entire NHL season we had 52 plays.

That is 2% of the total games played of the NHL season.

If you think we just pick "heavy favorites" when selecting our NHL plays then you know nothing about creating quality systems and that is probably why you should continue to check this thread in the future for our plays.

Houston -7 covers Dallas and we have our third playoff win in a row.

Sadly, this could be the last NBA bet we have this season.  If it is we will be taking a break until the WNBA starts up in June followed closely by our MLB plays.

I'm really satisfied with your stats even I'm in a little bit lose but I only started to follow a couple of days ago
I hope you expand your site for more picks and more sports
and I have a suggestion , maybe you can post your stats here ( not the picks only stats )
this may attract many users and they will register in your site
Regards

All the sports we have listed in the tracking section of the main page are sports we will have picks in.  Sorry we do not do tennis or soccer.  Also we feel that we make it fairly easy to see what our record is in any sport so we dont really want to have to keep it up to date here. All our past plays can be viewed by clicking on the sport you are interested in.

Interesting... but what makes you guys different then other tons of gambling websites that target sport fans??

I am not sure.  We can say that we are trust worthy.  We will not try to hide losses.  This can clearly be seen by the current bad streak we are experiencing in our MLB plays.  We are not fans of making excuses about losses so we will leave it at that.

I think that is the main thing that separates us from alot of the other people on forums.  We do not try and change losses to wins or remove losses from our tracking.  We will own up to it because we know everyone goes on bad streaks, its inevitable.

You mean to say . . .

"As of now your MLB record is not good"

We would agree with you.  However, it wont be bad for long . . . .

Our baseball plays have been horrendous, its as simple as that.  After watching two more late leads blown this evening to bring the day 0-3 pending the over/under we decided to go back and take a look at our plays and how they would have done if we had bet the first 5 innings instead of the full game.

Turns out our record would be 18-6 with the remaining missing games ties.

We are going to adjust are picks for here on out playing the first 5 innings only.  You will start to see the change tomorrow and hopefully our picks will start reflecting the quality we expect of ourselves.
