Also is there going to be a premine (instamined or hidden), that is a coin killer right there?  I (and this is just my opinion) like coins with a 25-100 coin per block rate.  Make too many, the price plummets, don't make enough and people lose interest.

As for launch time, I guess it should be where most of the miners are.  If you move it back it's late here in the US (eastern) and very early in Europe.  Why don't you do a 8AM Eastern time launch, you get the US and Europe during the awake hours.  Hate late night launches (because I have to be up a 5:30AM for work)...  If you are hoping for farms from China then the nighttime launch is what we get.

Over a year ago a coin was created that scammed the community and everyone was looking for a developer to restore it. I stepped up to the plate and restored it for the community. It wasn't long before the previous scamming developer sent attack trolls my way and began harassing me everywhere with personal life threatening attacks. So I offered to pass the development over to a new dev and provide support, but no one stepped up to the plate. I have since been planing a coin launch of my own and here we are today.  :)

I used to be a hardcore miner and loved it, so I understand where your coming from, plenty of hard work mining. I value it. There are other factors to consider for this project. There are real cost associated with producing an awesome coin and the community bounty block are not a personal pre-mine as those funds will be in a public address spent just on development. The blockchain jobs go to people like yourself. We can adjust things but I would advice against it. Some people can't afford hardware but have other skillset's that are required for successful projects that lasts.

programming
done as a sunk cost.
marketing is community involvement and is free in many cases (articles, twitter followers, people willing to push your coin if its reasonable)

With premine you give investors and miners too high risk. If you are good developer people will support you.

129,999 coins as a premine seems excessive, with the low per block rewards.

Total coins from POW are a maximum of 1.82M, which puts the premine at 7% of POW. Less than that of the total for POW+POS, but it's still a large chunk.

I'd love to see some sort of code-based scheduled payment over time, instead of a lump sum all up front. Having developers sitting on a large chunk of coins (>10% of the first 1000 blocks in this case), right when trading is likely to start and hit at least a local peak, is what concerns most miners/traders about premines.

Barring a code-based solution, which may be difficult to achieve in a short time, the common solution would be to escrow the premine if you feel that amount is needed.

Rented a rig for 1 day and pointed it at suprnova.  Hopefully this coin goes online sometime during the 24 hours.  It only cost $4 for the rental so not a huge loss if you push it back.

Just saw that.  Why do you need so many coins for development?

Remember DNotes if you guys hate premined coins. It started with 10% premine, didn't get much traction for months and look where it is now. You can always create something worthy if you have good intentions. Developers are not here to work for free. If you think that most of the coins which start with no premine/ICO/IPO and such are OK then think again.

pre-mine is not needed for him to profit from his own coin. But that takes actually making an effort. Check out the qtz dev and his reaction to the fud - he traded it. Means he had buy support on his coin, mined his coin and up until now is working on it and will continue to (touch wood), not for us but for his own shares to gain more value. Developers have the final say on a coins chance for appreciation. Pre-mines are just a way to get paid in advance for something they will most likely not deliver.
