It depends on your electricity price. If very low a S3 is better for some.  Most the S5 is better with its more efficient chips.

And go slow.... I highly doubt your house can handle 30 miners.  It's summer and heat with 30 miners will be hard to deal with.  Not to mention setup costs.

Did you contact Bitmain on your first miner and get it running properly yet?

If I remember right you live in a hot area.  30 miners create a lot of heat.  You will need ventilation, electricity wiring, etc, etc.

With amount of trouble with a single miner I just don't think 30 would be a good jump.  I think you might possibly be trolling.

S5 is very noisy. So running it in a home isn't good but if you are okay with noise, then go for it.

Why are you mentioning power cost and telling a miner can't be run?

Your house won't have enough power to light the miners and I don't know if you can live with all the heat and sound produced by miners.

If you got S4+'s you are talking about 6 units instead of 3 units.  So if you were serious that would be route i would go personally.

And it looks spammy on some of your post's.  I HIGHLY suggest taking bitmain up on talking to their support team, with native speakers.  Or trying a local board.  There is just a language barrier that seems to make post look spammy or answers not going across.

Go slower on adding gear.  Jumping to 50 just is to big of jump considering you were still were battling first miner to work properly.

It takes a lot to run 50x of these.   There is not one easy anwser to help it happen.

Unless electricity is free... U r going to lose. Better try cloud mining. Only large scale mining can bring down cost.

50 s3 produce like 340watt each x50, is 17kw in an apartment, this is crazy, not to mention that i doubt an apartment has 17kw available, usually they can reach 6kw at best

We cannot anwser these questions we dont have enough info.  But for 95 percent of apartments 50 miners will be to much.

We have no idea to know how many circuits you have in your apartment.  Only you can know it by looking at circuit breakers.   Top one in the main in your apartment is chances are how many amps you have.

I guarantee you do not have 17kW of available power.  The vast majority of us have been exceptionally patient with you and yet you continue to ask the same questions over and over again without bothering to pay attention to the answers you've been given.

If you are being serious I suggest you look into a proper hosting center.    It will save you almost all of the problems you have posted.

You will send hardware to somewhere they know how to do large amounts properly.

I dont want hosting and in georgia probably dont isnt hosting.

A standard apartment cannot handle 50 miners.  It just wont happen.

Heat most certainly IS a problem.  You will not be able to dissipate the heat that 50 miners will generate - especially in an apartment.  You also will not be able to provide enough electricity to power those 50 miners.

Please stop asking the same questions repeatedly.

Lets say 50 miners and 340 watts each.  Were talking 17k watts of electricity.  Most likely your apartment cannot even handle this amount.   That is a lot off electricity.

Even if it did the amount of heat during summer is going to be intense.   You need lots of gear to keep this amount cool.  It will be a battle.

You should get an engineer to help you out with this if you are so serious on investing that much money into mining.

Just search and learn how.

Stick with the S3, or even look at the S2. As far as I know, the S2 is selling relatively cheap on eBay. But if you prefer a better value in the long run, go with the S3. You'd make more just purchasing the Bitcoin and waiting until an increase to sell it, or buy Altcoins and wait until they increase in value then exchange them for BTC.

If the current assumptions holds (same price same difficulty) then it will be profitable depending on the electricity cost per GH, the higher the electricity cost, the less profitable, the lower electricity cost, more profitable it will be.

Although at 2020, most likely, the difficulty will be higher and the asic miners that work today will be obsolete.

Even if we assume that you are able to get that amount of power delivered to your apartment, let's be realistic.  You would need to have at least 100 amps of additional service, including all the circuits, breakers, wiring, etc.  I truly doubt you're going to be able to get that kind of work done in an apartment.  However, for the sake of argument, let's say that you do.

In addition to the 50 S5s, you'll need power supplies to provide the electricity to the miners.  You'll need cabling, network switches, some kind of machine running a proxy, decent internet service, racks and most importantly a means to dissipate all of that heat.  That's roughly 58,000 BTU per HOUR those miners will generate.

1 miner mining is nothing like 50 miner mining.   You simply cannot do it in most apartments.

People are trying to warn you it's a horrible idea to go from 1 to 50.  It makes us think you are spamming.

Summer is coming.  Expect heat.  Build up smaller slowly go up.  If you do such huge jumps you will have problems, and a lot of them.  Unless you hired someone who has done it before.  I suggest looking in your local area for a more experienced miner, who could show his operation and help you for a fee.

It being local is important as he/she deals with your local environment.
