laws of economics suggest nothing can be fair distribution, but the ico is was an opportunity for all to get a share of the coins, mining is difficult but this is to add to the coins value and exclusivity, btc has 12mil coins in circulation yet 0.1btc is still a considerable about, each coin is different in terms of reward and price, naturally if price is higher more profit for miners, any coins initial target.

are there anyone who signed up for ICO?
no offense but as i see most of the transactions reflects to the same addresses (about 90% of them)

i noticed this too after ico ended but there at least about 10 individual people its seems, maybe they were trying to suggest it had more interest than it did, i dont know.

the only btc the empyrean team put in was 1 btc to reserve some for giveaways and to help pay for promo and stuff. i guess they say the early bird catches the worm and these people seen an opportunity for profit.

once it hits market the distribution will become more even i imagine as people might want to offload for quick profit.

truth is we arent too fussy about the price, we are going to keep working on the things we have talked about on our roadmap, markets dont always reflect hard work as im sure everyone here knows.

Also to people messaging about the giveaway, the premine is still maturing so it might be a little while before i distribute but i will be staying up and making sure it all gets done

thanks for the large interest in empyrean, large hashrate was put on at the start and pushed the difficulty up thats why blocks are being slow and also why the ico coins havent matured yet. i will be staying up to make sure they are sent out as soon as i can.

just a small update on the mining, our aim with this coin was to make it pretty exclusive and rare. we tried to make it asic resistant too thats why the initial huge hashes caused these long block times but the difficulty will sort itself out soon

right now the difficulty is about 3600 and it was meant to be around 16-32 at this point (lol) this is the cause for the inflated block times. basically we need to wait for the difficulty to cool down for block times to speed up or equally stick on a lot more to equate equally to the difficulty its at right now.


i can assure you that mining this coin will bring some nice profit, as it will to traders who will begin to takeover the majority of coins from the miners. Our updates and new features to the coin will only add to its value so i hope you stick around with us for the journey

i woke up today to see the difficulty has sorted itself out, we are now at 14 mins roughly a block which is a lot better than 2 hours which means people should begin to get some coins today.

we were in the process of talking about empyrean before cov was launched. my teams launch strategy involved getting on yobit as quick as possible as recently its been a path for great coins like tron and crave, coins which we see we could compete with once we begin to complete our roadmap. we've tried to make the coin exclusive and hard to obtain which is why the mining is challenging but once everyone recieves a few coins theres potential for a lot of profit for miners and early adoptors.

Whoever the greedy bastard is thats throwing 1.3GHS at this (#1 speed , named anonymous) and keeping diff high needs to cut that in half like the rest of us. Ill give it 30 minutes, and if he doesnt Ill throw my 2GHs at it. We should set a MAX of 500MHS for everyone so we can go through this smoothly and easily.

Agreed shadow, but we could get this diff even lower, if the top guy reduces his hash like the rest of us, and then we can apply the leftover hash to something else. This coin  seems ultra sensative to high hash rate and spikes VERY easily.

What if a few big rigs were pointed at it continuously. I know the difficulty will shoot up like crazy but they will have the power to work through them better than all these small rigs. With minerals the coin/pool owners limited hash per user. We don't have that here, just the coin itself is changing against the large rigs power. In theory it will work better than this waiting around as the blockchain will move then.

So let me get this straight. This coin went for .00013/epy in ICO and is holding at .003? Theres not even an innovation

I warned everyone HOURS ago, to back off this and just apply some hash each, as this coin is VERY sensative to high hash, and diff spikes very easy. There were a few greedy miners that came in with 5,000 MHS and the difficulty skyrocked quickly. Let them lay in their own greedy blood. If everyone just came in gently, we can all get some easy fast coins.

today weve began work on the mobile wallet and i also had some good conversations with people in the irc that got set up, i will try to make being in the irc for chats a regular thing as we talked some good stuff about the coin and just other general stuff so it was nice to get to know some of the community.

also its good to see a pretty steady volume and price in epy and also in the mining department everything is stabilising nicely, stability is a key factor to longevity which is what we are hoping for with this coin, we want this to be more than a one week affair so thank you to all who have supported the coin even in a small way so far.

Is anyone else finding a problem with the coin being stuck on block 400? I'm just curious as to why it's taking so long for the block to be solved?

Yep stuck at 415 guess we'll have to wait for the developer or somebody to come along and tell us what's going on.

Well Thank god I only rented rigs for a little bit so I didn't lose out completely on the BTC I used but ya hopefully they figure this out and someone answers on what the problem is because this is a little ridiculous that not one person has said anything about it yet lol

Pretty sure most wallets will assume they are out of sync when the blockchain hasent moved in a while correct? The nodes are active so I assume that would be the case at the moment. The blocktime's for this coin are very high, but it does accomplish making the coin very rare indeed, while also stopping someone with NiceHash raping the pool and getting all the coins (and then all control over the market)

No I seen the Dev's message about like a 2 and a half minute block time roughly to stop huge hash from raping the pools but over 3 hours??? That's something wrong right there and the wallet not syncing for over 3 hours since block 415? There has to be something wrong with this right now

ive woke up to read your comments about block 415, we are investigating into why its taken so long, the difficulty is high so suggests a lot of hash was being put on it, but right now for example on supernova there is only 125mh, theres not enough hashrate it seems right now to get through the difficulty set, thats just my initial thought but i could be wrong, we are looking into it further.

nice to see high activity on the exchanges but the price is reflecting the mining hiccup right now, if you arent invested already it might be a good time to do so.

once the mining is looking up, we will continue to work on our wallet and again later on today i will be about in the irc for questions about the coin and general chat so i hope to see you there.

Was stuck on 415 for fucking ages..

blocks are moving again so coin is fully functioning, we think the cause was a really large hash amount appearing at the start of the block making the difficulty super high and then it disappeared and left a smaller amount of hash to finish job, so we rented some hash to push it past block 415.

also if you wish to add a new node to your wallet type "addnode 52.24.109.216 add" into your console in the wallet.

everything is back on track and we are getting back to work on the mobile wallet now, in a few hours i will be back in the irc for anyone who wishes to talk

Is there any reason why Suprnova still says that we are on block 415? and Dev honestly how long is the block time for this coin? Because all I know is that was ridiculous that it took like 12 hours just to get off block 415

it features a decreased difficulty and higher block reward which is as follows:

1001-1100 - 10 EPY reward per block, 1000 EPY
1101-1500 - 5 EPY reward per block, 2000 EPY
1501-3100 - 2.5 EPY reward per block, 4000 EPY
3101+ - 1.25 EPY reward per block

hopefully this should make mining a more rewarding experience for the miners

tomorrow i will host another irc chat with everyone who wishes to come and talk empyrean, last two have been good fun and i got to meet some nice people

After improving the mining and getting everywhere to update source today, we are also about 60% through the process of making the mobile wallet.

We hope to have V1 of the wallet around thursday/friday time.

After that we will start trying to implement the bluetooth fund sending we talked about in our roadmap, this could be really useful in places with no wifi or mobile data, I'm really excited about working on this part.

in regards to the confirmations im not 100% sure it happened while i was asleep, perhaps a long block or source update, i will look into it now but it looks like its nothing to worry about.

its because of difficulty, when epy hit trex yesterday people got crazy and put a lot of hash at it.
Now mining hash is less but the diff hasnt droped yet. so whe have to wait for people to find a block to reset the diff

only 19mh/s on super nova iff you look at the est diff for the next block you see it will drop 98,5%
Thats where the problem is now.

there has to be a "little" bit of hash put at it find that block en bring it down
