ID verification is not shitty thing, its for security.
to avoid theft and forgery.
to prevent an abuse.

There are very few places that accept credit cards without ID verification. You could use VirVox, but they have very high fees for using a credit card. The ID verification is to protect people, and if you are doing things legitimately and legally, the verification should not be a problem.

I was excited to see this; could it be that the powers that be have already made trouble for Circle?

I installed the mobile app (Ios8), it has no features!   It repreats (Loops) the email verification required...
ZAwaat?  only a dozen or so times now!

UNinstalled, reinstalled, tried again...
went tot eh website, attempted to email support...same "freeze"    nothing sends...nothing works

I hope they can fix the issues...a sinister personality could presume the wait is for other reasons.

If you want it to be anonymous your best bet might be localbitcoins.com.  I never used the site because in my area the markup is pretty high. The site seems to be well regarded here, I don't ever remember reading something negative about it.

If you use debit card, you are actually not anonymous anymore.
If you want anonymity, use cash. I have Payment processor "ATM"s in my city and I buy from those, for example. That's closer to anonymous.

Why do you need to buy anonymously? Theres anything wrong if they know your name? Maybe you are doing a wrong thing so that you want to buy or sell anonymously.

In the sense that Bitcoins as supposed to be usable "like cash", I can see where someone might want to be anonymous.

Would it make sense to require someone to produce an ID at a local convenience store when paying with FIAT cash? I for one would not go back to a store that required me to do that when paying with cash to buy a soda or some snacks.  :(

Bitcoins should be usable the same way for most things.  However, some Bitcoin-FIAT transactions may need ID due to the law, so one cannot expect to be able to do that with anyone who has a high visibility (such as an exchange site).

I didn't say that you need a valid id to buy foods or what ever. I only mean that you should have valid ID to recognize that you are that person. Its only for exchanging your bitcoin.

there is actually a probleim in sending your persona ID, if the exchange will be hacked one day(pretty common nowadays) then the hacker can steal your identity and use it for criminal stuff

this is why many don't want to deal with exchange that require your id

i don't know what will happen, but i prefer to not give my id on a exchange that is working under different governments, if they steal your id who will cover your ass? none, you will be in a serious trouble

But in some country like my country need an id so that they determine if you are that person and also they gave you what you must have like the changes on that exchanger or the announcement.

i think you have not looked carefully, because many have a limit below which they don't ask for your id, but all these exchanges, asks for your name, that's obvious, you need it to connect it afterward to your bank account, otherwise you can't withdraw

did you tried coinimal, for example?

use monero instead, or any ring signature, but you can't stay anonymous if in the end you want to dump for fiat, this is the issue, if you really want to stay anonymous, you should not exchange even a penny, and all your deals should be done with altcoin

if you though that they can make it or they can fake their ID or some documents, they can't because our technology or our gadgets are very helpful they can detect the fake documents, And if they fake the documents and they use it for now but after a few days they will know that its fake and they will caught that criminals.
