------- theSITE -------

with a great deal of variety in algo and coin and applications - there seems to be only a very few basic things you need to get into crypto - and get hooked ...

theDRIVE - theKNOWLEDGE - theTOOLS ...

... theDRIVE ...

wanting to understand and 'deal' with crypto ...
the good and bad - the nice and ugly - the easy and hard ...
this is no spectator sport - you got to WANT to be in crypto - or you just fall behind or get left by the wayside ...

... theKNOWLEDGE ...

getting excited about what needs to be done is one thing ...
knowing and understanding HOW it is done is another animal altogether ...
read up - get with the lingo - and then get educated on the what - the when - the where - the how - the why ...

... theTOOLS ...

when drive and knowledge is at your behest ...
when you are ready for the next stage of the trip ...
when all has been said and done - and you are ready with everything ...
thats when developers come into play - and devs are some of the most crucial components within the crypto sphere ... if not - the most important of all crypto has to offer ...

developers are the ones that create the tools ...
the miners - the bricks - the mortar ...

they are the ones that allow us - the miners and users alike - to build ourselves up from ground level - into crypto communities and crypto stardom - to quench our insatiable thirst for all that is crypto ...

... theDEVS ...

we here at ACE are more than just network & infrastructure consultants - more than crypto enthusiasts - more than just merely miners ...

we here at ACE are - simply put - people with a vision ... a vision that looks deep into the future of crypto - and sees a world that is much more than it is now ...

we here at ACE are miners - are enthusiasts - are helpers - but most of all ...

are THANKFUL to those developers that have put in the effort and time and experience into producing the tools that we all need to continue mining and storing and trading coin in all shapes and forms and incarnations ...

... theBENEFITS ...

we here at ACE really like the simple way of doing things - in all we do ...

simplicity is the way of life - and a nice clean solid way of implementing services that can be used by us and the community alike - is what we strive for ...

the benfits for creating these links are numerous - but we focus on three main benefits ...

1 - memory ... you can actually remember the name of the urls easier than rememebring the btc addresses - because they are to donate to the dev using their name ...
2 - construction ... the miner commandline is simple - as the only things that actually change are the dev name and the port that you point the hash to ( for the algo ) ...
3 - change ... there is no need to change anything if single dev or seven decide to change btc addresses - for whatever reason they may have ... same url - same port - same mining address ...

... theNITTY ...

we have started - and will continue - the first few of a series of mining links and connections to donate to those developers that we have grown so fond ...

if you are a miner - or you are a user - or you are benefiting from the tools that these amazing developers have created ...
then follow us and help with donating to these fine devs by means of direct deposit to their donation addresses OR donate hash to their addresses instead - if in fact you would prefer to donate your mining hash ...

use their tools to help test them while you are at it ... there is nothing holding you back from mining with the same tools that the devs distribute - especially if its all open source ;) ...

below is the current and continually growing links to the btc address of the devs we have in our growing list ...

alongside the btc addresses - we have the servers setup for the respective devs we have listed below ...

this does NOT mean this is where we will stop ... not by a long shot ...

the devs on the list for implementation on the new servers as they come online are those that have an active interest in the community - and are active within the community ...

these links are currently for the devs listed - and all the links mine at nicehash on the EU stratum ...

we had them mining / testing on yaamp prior to yaamp disappearing for a little while due to issues beyond their control ...

due to the release of the yaamp code - and the new yiimp fork - we may likely use these yaamp clones as a failover if nicehash drops connection - or vice versa ...

for the time being though - the nicehash EU stratum is the sole site / stratum we will direct all hash to ... and as time moves forward will use the other stratums as failovers in the case of an EU stratum connection fail ...
the failover order will be set according to the 'smallest to largest ping test' from the servers themselves ...
as noted here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=562238.msg11444048#msg11444048 ...
and here - https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=gstarted ...

each of the stratums will be brought into effect in order of service and when the previous stratum comes back on line - the mining will revert back to that stratum ...
currently - nicehash have the following order of stratum - each separated into two segments on the website - nicehash and westhash ...
EUROPE ( Amsterdam - Nicehash ) - USA ( San Jose - Westhash ) - CHINA ( Hong Kong - Westhash ) - JAPAN ( Tokyo - Westhash ) ...

this failover strategy will continue - but may also change without notice ( to add or remove pools as the situation allows ) ...

nicehash themselves have kindly whitelisted our servers so they will not be kicked off their stratums when in idle mode if an algo is not being used ...
this allows the stratum proxies to remain active - reducing the time to start mining if a miner becomes active ...

if there is a problem or an issue with the links or mining hash on them - please let us know ...
via public post on the thread ...
via pm direct on bct ( chrysophylax ) ...
via email ( crysx@gnxs.com ) ...
via irc on #granitecoin ( http://webchat.freenode.net/?nick=crysx&channels=%23granitecoin&prompt=1 ) ...

yes we have our own coin - so feel free to mine / trade / use granite with us ...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=718939 ...
we will eventually be integrating the donation links within the granite ecosystem - to allow much more freedom of choice to donate ...
more on that later - on the granite thread and website ...

your input and ideas with all we have created ( and all that we have propsed here ) are ALWAYS welcome ...

for your information - these systems and servers and stratums are setup for the devs listed - and the whole setup is coming from our own pockets ...
we will continue to maintain and troubleshoot the systems - as well as add to and improve this setup as long as we can continue to ...

for this reason - we have also added donation links for us also ( under donate-ace.granitecoin.com or donate-crysx.granitecoin.com ) if anyone wants to mine or directly donate to us ...
which will help us maintain the servers and connections ...
but for now - its all on us ...

if you would like to mine ( and subsequently test ) these links and report to us any issues you may encounter - all while donating to thedevs at the same time - then the details are as follows ...

each dev has his / her own area with their own unique info - all dev listings are in alphabetical order - all details may change without notice - all donation urls will remain the same ...

... theGRITTY ...

a few things you need to know before you construct the links for your miner ...

1 - all donation links start with 'donate-<developer>' ...
2 - all donation links are on the granitecoin.com domain ...
3 - all donation links have the same port structure <port> ...
4 - all donation links are in alphabetical order ...
5 - all donation links mine through nicehash currently - but can change at anytime ...
6 - all donation links start at port 7000 and increase by one in line with nicehash ports ...
7 - all donation links are statically set for each developer - so any <username>:<password> can be used in the miner ...
8 - all donation links can be checked by the nicehash btc links for the developers listed below ...
9 - all donation links are anonymous to the public - so even the smallest hash will help - no matter who you are ...

ie - stratum+tcp://donate-<developer>.granitecoin.com:<port>/ <username>:<userpassword> <kernel> <commandlineparameters> ...

for example ... if your developer of choice to donate mining hash to is ace / crysx ( the first on the list at the moment ) and you want to dbm using x11 ...

then the miner commandline ( or inside the .bat ) will look similar to the following ...

linux ...
./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ...
./sgminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-crysx.granitecoin.com:7003/ -u chrysophylax -p x -k x11mod ...

or ...

windows ...
ccminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ...
sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-crysx.granitecoin.com:7003/ -u chrysophylax -p x -k x11mod ...

obviously this is the very basic structure to use - and you should investigate the best settings you require for your miner ... but the above is very simple guideline for use ...

this setup is the same with any other developer you wish to mine for - the only things that change are the devs name <developer> and the port number <port> ...
and obviously your <kernel> and <commandlineparameters> ...

the developers that we have currently in our list are below ( in alphabetical order ) - as well as the ports for the algos ... we will add to this list as the new servers become available - and are more than happy to research and consider the developers that you ( the community ) wish to see added ...

a list of devs and associated ports / algos will be summarized at the end of this op ...

for refernce only and to summarize the list of developers - servers - links ...

donation names ...

- ace ( or crysx )
- djm34

- klaust
- pallas
- sp
- tpruvot
- wolf0

ports ...

7000 - scrypt
7001 - sha256

7007 - nist5
7008 - neoscrypt
7009 - lyra2re
7010 - whirlpoolx
7011 - qubit
7012 - quark

axiom and lyra2rev2 may be added shortly ... so if you want to see those algorithms available to mine - please let us know ...

situations like mining using nist5 ( port 7007 ) will more than likely give you errors - as there is pretty much NO ONE mining using the nist5 algo on nicehash ... so expect that one to continuously disconnect the miner and give errors ... this algo ( and a couple of others ) are only in the list for testing purposes of the server load while the community mines ... they will be taken off soon ...

to check the hashrates of the relevant developer address - please check the links below - and change to the desired algo that you want to check using the algo pulldown menu ...
as mentioned earlier - all the links are going through the nicehash eu stratum ...
our stratum proxies will eventually have the usa - jp - hk stratums as a failover in case the nicehash eu stratum happens to fallover ...
this will happen after a few weeks of stable dbm hashing by the community ...

nicehash statistics ...

these links send you to the EU stratum ( nicehash ) and set on scrypt algo ...
use the pull down menus to get to the stratum and algo you want to see ...

x15 seems a little flaky lately on the US stratum - which seems a little odd and will notify nicehash soon ...

so far - all of the other links are currently functional as far as we can see ...

will keep an eye on them ...

yeah you are right... me, epsylon3, Schleicher have absolutely no interest in the community  ::)

"the devs on the list for implementation on the new servers as they come online are those that have an active interest in the community - and are active within the community ... these links are currently for sp"

yeah you are right... me, epsylon3, Schleicher have absolutely no interest in the community  ::)

you are definitely one of the ones that is next here djm ...

tpruvot - wolf0 - klaust - just to name a few others ... all the links have been set ( donate-xxx.granitecoin.com ) but are all dedicated and pointed to this one server ( as there is no way of just 'parking' the names ) - which is currently directed to the setup for sp ...

the issue is that the setup of these donation links are dependent on the availability and setup of the servers to hold the stratum proxies ...

i personally have been testing a few here - but there is only so much a single server can hold ( and 6 proxies is currently the max for the servers until the others come through ) ...

which means for every test stratum proxy - i have to knock one off and reset a new one for the test ... that has become something more of a nuisance than a test environment ...

so the new servers are on order and we are hoping to have them on-line by this coming weeks end ...

i can only personally do so much also - with the procurement and setup and organization of all that is necessary to implement these systems ...

with some personal issues that i have needed to take care of immediately - which is why i basically had to go away for two days - it becomes a load that i personally need to take care of a little at a time ... especially on a financial basis ... even though it is self inflicted - i really want to have a system setup to all those ( like you and sp and the others ) that have helped so much ...

so dont worry mate - you are one of the devs that have contributed a great deal to the community and your server has been on order for a few days now ... our farm and those miners that belong great deal of the community have been mining with the developments you have all made FOR the community ... which is what was iterated ...

CURRENTLY - its the sp server ... if you actually highlighted ( and re-iterated them in this post ) the more important parts about this being 'initial' and a 'testing' period - and took note of all that was said in the op djm - it was about setting more donation links for the devs that have helped the community and that are active in the community ... those devs in the opinion of the community as well as myself ... which definitely mean you and the others ...

we really dont mean any disrespect to anyone ... especially the devs ...

i just need to collate the details of the developer addresses and git and bct thread ( if they exist ) ... so your help in that way would be more than beneficial ... as well as the pseudo-names that everyone uses ( i know epsylon3 is tpruvot - but dont know anyone elses pseudo ... like Schleicher - not familiar with the name or pseudo ) ...

but without the servers - nothing can be setup ... and that takes time - especially since its my project and on my shoulders ...

so a little patience - and all will be sorted :) ...

im actually quite glad you took notice of this setup ...

we hope it will bring to light to the community at large that devs require support from us all ... the community of miners and the users of the tools that you devs all create - to continue the development of these optimizations and tools ...

in any case - i can do little now - as its very late and i need rest ... im completely worn out unfortunately ...

have a good night mate ...

chrysophylax I personally really appreciate the effort into doing this,....but have some question's / sugesstions

How does this differ at the moment as if you use MinerControl and set it with sp btc adress,...that's the way I've currently chosen to contribute/donate my one gpu, that i'm not using it full time?

will you expand it to all the other devs? and how will it be implemented? If the donator has to change the server address from donate-sp.granitecoin.com to donate-tpruvot .granitecoin.com, then,...we'll nobody is going to use it,...

maybe a solution would be a customized API to pull the correct "price" and let MinerControl do the rest. In order to do that you would need also a web site with a "dev pool" of where donators could vote which dev gets more "votes" and the one with more votes gets the higher price in the API, and offcourse the API has to be time limited according to the votes,...so the adresses of devs are switched fair and square according to the dev pool site,... It's a little bit of complicated but I think it can be done,...by someone who has that kind of experience...and what's even more interesting is if it takes really off then even devs get a direct feedback from the community about their work and therefore also more beer for them ;)

really appreciate your kind words and suggestions and questions ...

just to clarify ... there is no difference to setting the address up in the miner itself ( or through miner control - or any other mining software for that matter ) than setting the btc donation address itself ... except for two main points ( which i suppose DO make it a difference ) ...

1 - when using the donation links - it is completely anonymous to the general public as to who is mining ...
2 - the hashrate is aggregated and as such will produce a larger hashrate on a single miner than many many small miners ...

with this - it allows reduced load on the stratum servers at the pool that you mining at - and creates a single anonymous miner for donation using this aggregated hashrate ...

also - i have found that the idea that even the smallest miner can 'add' to the hashrate and help alongside the medium to larger miners - is something that a lot of people prefer to do ...

its the same analogy as the drop of water in the ocean ... it really means little - unless you realize that billions of drops make that body of water ...

so no matter how small your miner - it is beneficial ( and in some cases - more enticing ... as some miners dont think that their contribution would be much - until it is added to all the others ) to mine with others ...

as for the other devs - YES! ... definitely ...

we would not have the size of farm that we have currently ( apart from my personal investment ) had it not been for the likes of devs - sp - djm34 - wolf0 - tsiv and a few others ...

the issue is more time and money - than facilities ... all this does cost in terms of finances as well as time ... we have the facilities - now to get the hardware / cloud services purchased and active ... which leads us on to the reason the donation link was broken up to names ...

if you mine on the link donate.granitecoin.com with the same ports as above - you will find that it mines at exactly the same place ...

the reason is that the original donation link ( donate.granitecoinx.com - which changed to donate.granitecoin.com when we finally got the domain ) was simply donate.granitecoin.com combined with port of the donation algo ...

the issues that arose with this is two fold ...

1 - the ports were numbered to algo and dev accordingly - but became quite confusing ...
eg - donate.granitecoin.com:7898 and donate.granitecoin.com:7989 for donation to djm34 and sp respectively using x13 and x11 ... it is much easier to remember donate-sp or donate-djm34 or donate-wolf0 than to remember which port each one belongs to on which algo ...

2 - the servers themselves were running out of working space as each stratum proxy takes its chunk of RAM ...
so unless there was a HUGE server running HUGE cores ( 12 would suffice for a large server - with multiple cpu's ) and MASSIVE amounts of RAM - there would be no way of redirecting the link to the right server ...

as a separate server and separate donation link - its easier to manage - as nicehash is also finding out with their new dns reshuffle ...

it also makes it easier for separate servers to use the same ports so that x11 is one port - x13 is another - and so forth - on each of the servers ...

if there is a way to have the ONE donation link - and redirect it to the various ip's of the various servers - then i would be more than happy to implement ...

your idea of an API that supplies the info to the miner is a good one ...

same with the website - though i think the website would be a damn site easier to produce than the api :) ...

though the idea sounds like it would be complicated to implement - i think the simpler that we make this ( for the time being anyway ) - the better ... at least until it can be used as a standard - if it ever does ...

so if i understand this correctly ... a voting system via the website that determines which dev - that determines which algo - that mines according to an API that points the miner to the donation address based on the original vote ... wow :) ...

a nice algorithm that would be :) ... but one which alas - i cannot implement without the help of a dev that can do that ...

as a start though - would anyone know how ( or know anyone that knows how ) to redirect an address based on port? ... ie - single address ( donation.granitecoin.com ) where pot 9797 goes to server xxx.xxx.xxx.1 and port 9897 goes to server xxx.xxx.xxx.2 ...

hi all ...

a small update with regards to the vps systems / servers ...

the company responsible for the provision of the servers have been in touch - and will hear from them again shortly regarding the new vps's ...

which means we will have our own donation links setup soon ... and hopefully have the other servers setup for the donation links to the devs also ...

please do give generously to the awesome devs - whether direct btc or mining ... when the servers come online - or using their btc addresses ...

all this information will be available on the OP in the coming days ... we require all the information we can about each of the devs ...

so if anyone knows ( the dev themselves provide the info please ) their links to - btc address - github - bct thread - social media ( facebook - twitter - etc ) then please pass it on to us here - or pm me direct ...

we also would like to ask which of the devs you would like to see on the list of donation links on the site ...

so far - we have a few in the list - and they are in no specific order ...

- sp
- djm34
- wolf0
- tpruvot
- tsiv
- pallas
- kbomba
- klaust

if there are some devs that anyone would like to see on here - let me know ... and if we can implement the donation links with the systems we currently have ordered - we will put them on also ...

x15 seems a little flaky lately on the US stratum - which seems a little odd and will notify nicehash soon ...

so far - all of the other links are currently functional as far as we can see ...

will keep an eye on them ...

#crysx

Connection to X15 will be terminated, if there are no orders to work on. Check here https://www.westhash.com/?p=allorders&a=6

i received the instructions for the debug - and i have just finished setting it up as per the instructions ...

it seems the connection is alive and have directed our test miner ( 2 x gigabyte 750ti oc lp ) to mine x15 for the hour using the 2stratum ...

if the only issue is simply that there are no orders - why does it drop the connection altogether to the proxy? ... why does it not keep it alive and wait for the next order to come in? ...

x15 isnt as widely used as others - so its not a be all and end all ... but if these issues do actually exist - then i would have thought that trying to find a resolve would be preferable ...

i hope it is just as simple as you say it is ... that would be such a relief on our end ... :) ...

Stratum protocol does not support connections with no work. Miners would behave unexpectedly if there was no work provided, some may even just idle. We cannot provide work, if there are no orders, because we get work from orders.

yes - i understand that ... and i appreciate the explanation ...

so simply put - dont panic if the connection drops as its going to be due to lack of work :) ...

tanx again for clearing that up ...

btw ... the stratum proxy is still on the test stratum for x15 - just for your benefit if you needed it for the hour :) ...

hi all ...

apologies for the downtime ...

a little system issue with the current vps for the donation links caused the links to stop working ...

the vps seemed to have a spat and locked the java threads that run the proxies ...

all good now ...

will look more indepth at them tomorrow - and figure a workaround for the automatic reset of the stratum proxies for such an event...

we are also running through these donation links ... and had mining idle for a short while also ...

afterall - this is a test system that needs a few bugs worked out :) ...

hi all ...

a little update ...

we have been notified a couple of days ago that only two new servers can be commissioned for now by the supplier ...

this is still quite good news as this means we can now commission a total of 3 servers for the donation mining systems - while we wait for the rest to go online ...

the news that we have received is that the migration to the new datacenter is going slowly but surely - and so the two new vps systems can be online about 30th june 2015 ... we are definitely looking forward to this ...

in the meanwhile - there is no particular order to the developers with which we will be placing on the donation list ...

our farm comprises of two parts - amd and nvidia ...

as stated - the nvidia side uses ccminer-spmod as the dominant miner ... the amd side uses sgminer with wolfs x11 binaries ( due to the fact that granitecoin is x11 based ) ...

from time to time there are others that are used - but those are the main miners ...

we did start with sp as the test donation links - as we use ccminer spmod with the nvidia part of the the farm - and so we believe it would be fair to say that sp will be on the first server ( which was originally the test server - so he is already setup - just port changes will be required ) ...

so ...

the first server we would like to commission the donation system to sp ...
the second second server wolf0 ...
the third to djm34 ...

as the fourth and fifth ( and so on ) servers come online - we would like have the systems commissioned by the vote of the community ...

the first three will happen this week - which means the servers will be online and the op updated with all the details we can gather about the devs by the end of the week coming ( ie - sunday 5th july 2015 adelaide australia time ) ...

if you ( the user - the miner - the viewer ) have a preference to a developer ( or developers ) that you would like to see for the donation links ( and also on the website when it eventually comes online ) - please comment your suggestions with the links to the developers bitcointalk thread and github link and their btc donation address ... any and all details would be welcome ...

please let us know your preference to the algorithms that you would like to mine as a donation also ...

currently we have active - x11 x13 x15 neoscrypt lyra2re quark ... all on different ports ...

depending on the community suggestions - we can change and / or make permanent the different algos - keeping in mind that a maximum of 7 algos on the one server will be the limit ...

we do have a list of devs that we would like to add - but we can only go so fast and spend so much on servers for the project ... which means it will happen on a slower basis than we would like ... but it will happen ...

if any of the devs have any input - it would be very much appreciated ... please comment here - or pm me - or email me at crysx@gnxs.com - or irc #granitecoin ...

hehehe ... the servers have yet to be commissioned - but i have been given the go ahead for them on or after the 30th ...

and as stated - the supplier can only allow another two servers by the the 30th ...

but it will only be a matter of time when they move their vps system to a new datacenter - and thats probably when they can commission a few more servers for us ...

tpruvot is epsylon3 - yes? ...

is there any info we can access from you - that would help a great deal ...

in your sig is your donation btc address - now for your thread here on bct ( if you have a unique one specifically for your fork of ccminer ) and / or website and git ( we already have your git address if you are tpruvot ) ...

i personally used your miner when i first started in mining with cpu - yes cpu - and then ccminer for older nvidia cards ... have grown a lot more than that now ;) ...

which is one of the main reasons we wanted to give back - or at least do our part to give back - to the devs that have helped us and the community in general ...

without you guys - we would have mediocre miners and mediocre algos with mediocre results ...

good times ahead :) ...

we believe quite the opposite ...

we believe that it is STILL a good thing to donate to the devs that are STILL making a difference to the community ...

ALL of them ...

we couldnt do what we are doing in the mining community without them - period! ...

a great deal of the algos that are STILL in use and are STILL being used for mining ( with some being a lot more profitable to that end ) with these devs developing and optimizing for the community ( and it is a HUGE community ) of gpu miners ...

thank you for the positive comment on it being a good purpose - but we believe these devs need all the help they can get NOW - not just a year ago ...

unless of course you are saying that YOU would have been better to have donated via mining donation a year ago ;) ...

much appreciated for the kudos ...

we will grow this as we can ...

its all about the devs this time - and the community at large can show their appreciation of the hard work that devs have done ...

end of the coming week - we should have the servers running if our supplier has the servers ready ...

we will also have a donation link for us - so that we can at least try and get some support for the costs of all the systems ...

but for the moment - its on us ;) ...

agreed ...

and tanx ...

ive removed the links to donation-sp for the time being ( in the op ) - as all the links and all the ports will change ...

the more common / popular algos will be setup in accordance to the links through nicehash eu stratums - with the other stratums ( usa - jp - hk ) being added as a failover shortly after the initial eu stratums are established ...

currently - there are 13 algos nicehash supports ... most of them will be active and running ... unfortunately - not all the algos will make it as the final functioning available algos to mine with ...

but we hope that this will be the start of an easier way of mining some donations to the amazing devs we have ...

as time progresses and servers are commissioned and money becomes more available - we will setup more servers for mining donations to more devs ...

it actually maybe a good idea to list the algos that everyone wants to mine on a permanent level ... they have to be in the nicehash list of algos please ...

we can easily support 7 algos currently in one server - 10 algos at a push ...

any suggestions? ...

x11
quark
neoscrypt

we have them currently on-line at the moment ...

it seems that having all of the algos running at the same time will overload the server ...

so just for testing - all the algos are running on the one server - but i can already see its lagging ...

those are some of my favorite algos also ...

always been curious about qubit - but never mined with it - nor used it ...

Post by: chrysophylax on July 14, 2015, 08:20:21 AM
hi all ...

just a small update on the donation systems ...

three servers are up and running and testing as we speak ...

these are what we consider to be the dev servers ...

so far the following dev servers for donation systems are active ...

- sp
- djm34
- wolf0

soon ( and we are hoping the end of this week ) a few more will be running and active ...

all details will be updated shortly - with the developer details ... and please keep in mind that all thisis in beta and we do need as much feedback as possible to rectify any issues we can ...

the system we have chosen to use is based on dns allocation ... ie - names of the devs for the servers ... it was getting quite messy with port port allocation on the single system - and quite confusing ...

so we have maintained a standard with the ports to the algos they are associated with ( in line with the nicehash allocation - just using our ports ) adjoing the dev name ...

for example ... to donate mining hash to sp using x11 ... the structure of the donation command will be simply - donate-<dev> + mining domain ( granitecoin.com ) + <port> ...

the info in the <xxx> are the choice you make for the developer you wish to donate to and the port you need to point to - depending on the algo ...

ie - stratum+tcp://donate-sp.granitecoin.com:7003/ ...

this is true for djm34 and wolf0 and all the other devs that we will be putting up - as the algo port allocation will remain constant ...

- stratum+tcp://donate-djm34.granitecoin.com:7003/ ...
- stratum+tcp://donate-wolf0.granitecoin.com:7003/ ...
- stratum+tcp://donate-tpruvot.granitecoin.com:7003/ ...

if you wish to donate with quark - the the port will be 7012 ...

ie - stratum+tcp://donate-sp.granitecoin.com:7012/ ...

etc ...

please note - stratum protocol is the only method that has been tested at the moment and can be proven to work ... getwork protocol has not been tested and we cannot guarantee will work ...

we also have found that when all algos are active - the servers are overloaded ...

so to alleviate any major issues mining ( and also to stop constant disconnections due to lack of orders on nicehash ) - we will be removing some of the less used algos from the list that can be mined for donations ...

these algos that are not so popular seem to be ...

- scryptnf
- x13
- x15
- nist5

the ideal algo count for each server seems to be 7 ...

so if you would like to let it be known which algos you would like to see as a viable algo to mine - please post here or pm ( chrysophylax ) or skype ( chrysophylax69 ) or irc on channel #granitecoin ...

more details will follow and will be updated as we move along with teh implementation of the systems and servers ...

the more we can donate to these developers - the more we can show our appreciation for the great work they are doing for us as individual miners AND to the crypto community as a whole ...

lets give them as much support as we can ...

hi all ...

just an update before i retire for the night ...

a couple of our donation servers ( vps systems ) have had a run in or two ...

our provider is looking into the matter and will no doubt have some news over the next few days ...

until then - we are still working on the other servers to get the donation links running by next week ...

our own electricity issues 'should' be resolved next week also - if the electrician can make it out there in the next few days ... this should make for a much smoother ride for the running of that portion of the farm also ...

will keep you all updated as it all happens ...

hi all ...

a very quick update before i leave the office ...

i will be away for two or three days - but will be contactable via skype ...

the donation links have been testing nicely and the decision to terminate a few algos from the list has come to head ...

the final details will be announced next week - and the donation links will be live about teh same time ...

we are working hard to make sure that the servers are solid and stable - and have been working and testing tirelessly to make this happen ...

so far - the testing has been positive with only a few shortfalls ... three of the servers had to be rebuilt and as such has been reinstated and improved ...

a software update will be forthcoming - making the stratum proxies work more efficiently ... but that will happen after the systems go live next week ...

have a great weekend coming ...

tanx pallas ...

ive recovered after 3 courses of antibiotics - just finishing yesterday ...

its now monday and im on track again ...

quite a few developments and a lot happening ...

the donation servers are all functional - all active - all ready ...

now to publish the details and organize the final tweaks to the systems ...

i have been in talks with the coin core dev for granitecoin - and the logo / web dev for the new logo and graphics including the website for granitecoin ...

all of these things will be all tied in with the donation links - and thefarm has a role to play in all this also ... which means the two multipools are what i want to be working on next ...

all happening this week - and with a little luck and some damn hard work - we can have everything started this week - and fully functional by next week ...

ill copy the body of this to the granitecoin thread also ... and when the donation links are published - will copy it into the cccminer-spmod thread and the sgminer-dev thread ...

so good to be back online again ...

tanx for the good will - and gladyou had a great time pallas ...

we always need a break - and ill be unavailable till wednesday now due to personal

there have been many changes in the backend - and as such - i cant release the donation servers till probably thursday or friday ... but everyone can still mine and donate directly anyway ...

i just want to see the day that devs like you are actually acknowledged with btc as well as kudos ...

i have 3 pieces of the 7 pieces i need to get the plan i have in motion for granitecoin ... the name change will be one of them - granite - no coin ...

even though all the previous domains and names will be retained ( www.granitecoin.com - grn-pool.granitecoin.com ) - the name will be simpler and the backend more solid and stable ... just like the name suggests :) ...

as for the 'other' things that need be setup and installed and coded - they will have to be in due time as well ... the coin itself is undergoing a makeover - and the result is an 'up to date' wallet that looks and performs better with more streamlined code ... at least thats the goal ... THEN the features will start when we know the code is stable ...

this will all work in tandem with the donation sites - and when i eventually get my way with the multipool plans - will in fact work FOR the donation sites ;) ...

anyway - the structure is all coming into place and by the end of the week - if all is well - we should have all the donation sites all runnign and open to the public ... there will be an upgrade very shortly also - so ill pull each server down one at a time when that happens ... it will only take a couple of hours at the most to do the full upgrade on all the servers ...

i appreciate you chiming in - and looking forward to what outcomes have been swiriling around in your mind ...

all in all - pm me and let know how you have been going with all that you have been considering ... AND have fun ...

:) ...

hi all ...

issues seem to be fixed ...

one more dev server to be setup and ill publish the links ...

the servers seem to be running fine on the load i hammer them with using thefarm - but they really do need to be tested properly with the community hitting them with multiple miners from multiple ips ...

the servers were actually being ddos attacked and crashed two of them - which i have been rebuilding ... one more to finish today and i can rest for a little bit while it tests ...

im looking at a few cloud protection services ...

cloudflare seems to be the most widely used and the most proficient service ... ill research deeper in to this as we just cannot afford to have this happen again ... or at least - if it does - it will be better protected against such attacks and will recover more quickly ... which means donation mining can continue sooner ...

does anyone have a ddos protection service that they have knowledge of that i can look into? ... would be much appreciated ...

releaase of the servers links next week for community use / load testing ... all input would be appreciated ...

complete server links and details will be released as an op update also - so we can add another way of doantion by mining ( dbm - donation by mining ) - and give back to the developers ...

hi all ...

im very happy to announce that all the issues seem to have been squashed - and the servers are all functional and running - and are now published below ...

a copy of these details will be placed in the op shortly ...

please note - these links and servers have tested well with thefarm ( our granite farm ) - but not in a production environment - which is the mining community as a whole ...

if you prefer to mine for the devs that are available on our links list - then please do so ... its what ive dubbed 'donation by mining' ( or dbm - hey thats original ) and is a nice way to show your appreciation for the devs endeavours to help the community ...

now to the nitty gritty ...

ive tried to make it as simple as possible - so that we can donate some mining time for the developer of your choice ...

a few things you need to know before you construct the links for your miner ...

9 - all donation links are anonymous to the public - so even the smallest hash will help - no matter who you are ...

ie - stratum+tcp://donate-<developer>.granitecoin.com:<port>/ <username>:<userpassword> <kernel> <commandlineparameters> ...

for example ... if your developer of choice to donate mining hash to is ace / crysx ( the first on the list at the moment ) and you want to dbm using x11 ...

then the miner commandline ( or inside the .bat ) will look similar to the following ...

linux ...
./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ...
./sgminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-crysx.granitecoin.com:7003/ -u chrysophylax -p x -k x11mod ...

or ...

windows ...
ccminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ...
sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-crysx.granitecoin.com:7003/ -u chrysophylax -p x -k x11mod ...

obviously this is the very basic structure to use - and you should investigate the best settings you require for your miner ... but it is a very simple guideline and example for use ...

this setup is the same with any other developer you wish to mine for - the only things that change are the devs name <developer> and the port number <port> ... and obviously your <kernel> and <commandlineparameters> ...

the developers that we have currently in our list are below ( in alphabetical order ) - as well as the ports for the algos ... we will add to this list as the new servers become available - and are more than happy to research and consider the developers that you ( the community ) wish to see added ...

donation names ...

- ace ( or crysx ) ... thats us if you wish to help us maintain the server costs and maintenance ...
- djm34
- kbomba
- klaust
- pallas
- sp
- tpruvot
- wolf0

ports ...

7000 - scrypt
7001 - sha256
7002 - scryptnf
7003 - x11
7004 - x13
7005 - keccak
7006 - x15
7007 - nist5
7008 - neoscrypt
7009 - lyra2re
7010 - whirlpoolx
7011 - qubit
7012 - quark

axiom and lyra2rev2 may be added shortly ... so if you want to see those algorithms available to mine - please let me know ...

just as importantly as the mining itself - PLEASE - report any issues that you may encounter ... we will try and fix issues as quickly as we possibly can ...

situations like mining using nist5 ( port 7007 ) will more than likely give you errors - as there is pretty much NO ONE mining using the nist5 algo on nicehash ... so expect that one to continuously disconnect the miner and give errors ... this algo ( and a couple of others ) are only in the list for testing purposes of the server load while the community mines ... they will be taken off soon ...

to check the hashrates of the relevant developer address - please check the initial links below - and change to the desired algo that you want to check using the algo pulldown menu ... all the links are going through the nicehash eu stratum - and our stratum proxies will eventually have the usa - jp - hk stratums as a failover in case the nicehash eu stratum happens to fallover ... this will happen after a few weeks of stable dbm hashing by the community ...

ace / crysx - https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=125xeUK3Np8oboxSZDb5XYxZxdNwmfEj66&a=0&l=0

wolf0 - https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=1Jp2R7dF9gYr872FkXiap2MaYaHNEfwWhZ&a=0&l=0

the details of each individual developer will be added to - as information comes along ...

we hope that you can use this facility to help donate to these developers - and hope that this becomes a useful tool to do so ...

remember that donating directly to the btc address is always welcomed by the devs - so lets support them by donating in anyway possible to keep giving them the incentive to continue the awesome work they have been doing for the community ...

happy mining ... lets support our devs ...

thanks for the update and the fine work :-)

my pleasure pallas ...

tanx for all the hard work you and the other devs have put into the community ...

ill publish the thread link in the other threads for now - but will also update the op later on ...

the op will have a little more information about all the devs listed - and hopefully be able to get the community to add another dimension to donating for the awesome work you guys do ...

when the rest of the plans i have are in full swing - which includes the pools - then the integration of thefarm and the donation links into the website will be initiated ...

i have another server planned this week - but that is testing as we speak ...

i hope the whole community comes on board and helps with this kind of donation ... i know i will ;) ...

tanx for the kind words also ...

I think the reason is that, using the "proxy", the developer can change address and pool without notifying everybody.

I think the reason is that, using the "proxy", the developer can change address and pool without notifying everybody.

in addition to that - and even moreso ...

i have set these up specifically as another option to donate via mining ... to make it very easy - or at least as easy as possible ...

the hashrate will get amalgamated ( if miners are mining at the same time ) which makes for a higher hashrate - with the added bonus of anonymity as to who is mining ...

so if you have say - 10MH - and another miner has 10MH and onother has 10MH and you are all wanting to mine using the same algo - then its an amalgamated hashrate of 30MH as a single miner ...

or different algos - or a mixture of algos - using a multialgo changer ...

its also very easy to remember ( donate djm34 or donate-sp or donate pallas etc ) than most other urls ...

and you dont need to know the btc address of the devs themselves ... you just point the miner to the easy donation link and set the algo and mine ...

if you have sp - djm34 - pallas that you want to mine for - you would need to know their btc addresses to mine directly for them ... great - if that is what you want ... and as pallas suggested - if they decide to change the address ( which many do ) - you have to continue to check and make sure you are not mining to the wrong address ...

if you only want to remember the devs name - then donate-<developer>.granitecoin.com is all you need to remember with port 7000 being the first ...

it also makes it MUCH easier when i integrate thefarm ( our granite farm ) with the donation links when the new pool goes up ... which means that addition of the community hash AND our farm hash at certain times will be a nice amount of hash to give as a donation ...

just another avenue to make it easier to donate hash - thats all ...

the setup is correct - but you can use ANY username and ANY password ... not so much those ones ... i just put those in as an example ...

for donation mining for sp - yes ... that is the correct url and port to use for x11 - if that is the algo you want to use with sgminer and amd video cards ...

dont forget to use the commandline paramters to optimize the algo for your card ( unless you already have them in your .conf file ) ... memclock and gpuclock as well as any other optimizations ( like wolfs bins ) ...

which is one of the reasons why wolf0 is one of the devs on donation here also :) ...

Well I see the shares being accepted (200 so far, in Quark algo), but no BTC going into sp's nicehash account, according to those links.  Can you check, chrysophylax?  I'm going to switch back to Quark for the time being.

hi hashbrown ...

all the hashes are there ... https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=1CTiNJyoUmbdMRACtteRWXhGqtSETYd6Vd&a=12&l=0 ...

the links that were given are the initial links to the 'scrypt' algo - you need to change pull down menu to quark ...

but then - i bet you already knew that :) ...

nicehash graphs do take 5-10 minutes to show ANY movement on their system ... so i dont think it that is going to change unless nicehash update their stats system to a higher rate of update ...

these servers are stratum proxies and as such - pass on ALL the hash that you throw at them to the addresses given ( in theis case - sp's btc address at nicehash ) ... none of the hash goes anywhere else ...

with the added bonus of amalgamating all hashes ( so if we both mined at the same time for quark - it would show one miner for sp and increase the hashrate ) - having one url that is easy to remember to hash to - all completely anonymous to teh public - and never having to worry about what the devs addresses are when they decide to change wallets for any reason ( its always the same url ) ...

i will also be updating the base stratum software to the latest edition - as the tests have shown that they are working VERY well ...

so ill be pulling the servers down next week - at a specified time for the hour that it takes to upgrade them ... they will run a lot faster also - and they willall have failover facilities implemented to the other nicehash stratum servers ...

ill be turning thefarm to the donation links next week also - using x11 ... im working on this test server to add an idea that i have to the donation system ...

testing for this is also underway alongside the upgraded software - and looks promising ... and stable :) ...

but as far as looking for an immediate response on nicehash from only 200 shares processed - that is too short a time for nicehash ... maybe that is something they can look at - having a shorter time to display results on graphs? ... as far as i know - its a 5-10 minute share collection before any graphs are shown ...

tanx for sending thedevs some hashluv ... and helping improve this system at the same time ...

ive also setup a poll ( on granite thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=718939 ) posing the question -

if you were able to mine granite using any number of algorithms - not just x11 - which ones would they be? ...

ill keep the poll going for a couple of weeks - while we are in the process of setting up the new base for the new pool ...

your input would be VERY much appreciated ...

well - it wont matter about how profitable an algo is i dont think ... at lease - not on a granite mining standpoint ...

a few more changes to the donation site soon ... as the process of algo is going to be streamlined ...

ie - removal of some algos and addition of others ...

hi all ...

the upgrade and migration to the new servers will be happening over the next couple of days ...

these new servers are smoother and quicker than the previous ones - so there will be some down time during the migration process - but we will keep it to a minimum ...

the additional servers should be online next week with more devs who will accompany our donation by mining systems ...

the software upgrade should happen by the end of next week - but that is yet to be determined ...

edit - just to add ... the servers affected will be the following ...

- donate-djm34.granitecoin.com ...
- donate-kbomba.granitecoin.com ...
- donate-klaust.granitecoin.com ...
- donate-sp.granitecoin.com ...
- donate-tpruvot.granitecoin.com ...
- donate-wolf0.granitecoin.com ...

when the servers go down - they will be inactive for no more than 7 minutes in total ...

You can add my github if you wish:

There is nothing interesting in there, as I usually do pull requests on other dev's forks, but I may have something "original" in the future ;-)

hi all ...

the upgrade of the servers is currently underway ...

after the kill of the quark stratum proxy for sp ( as per the issue foss had earlier ) - a check on the other servers had different stratum proxies get killed off also ...

this has led me to drop all else im doing and do the full migration now ... which means the servers will be new - and quite fast - and efficient ...

it also means that the dns ( arecords ) will also need to be changed - which may cause 'some' delay in the servers goign online ...

though past experience has proven that dns propagation has taken a minimal amount of time these days compared to days of past ...

so the process will go as listed in this order ...

- server migration ...
- server load test ...
- dns migration ...

and if all that goes well - full functionality to the servers ...

the stratum proxy software will also be upgraded - but that will take two whole days to complete ... so that will be started tomorrow - and be completed on a server by server basis ...

please bear with us while this is being done - as the outage is going to be as minimal as possible ...

hi all ...

server upgrade has been completed and full tested ...

dns settings also changed - and fully functional ...

dbm is back on track ...

the software upgrade of the stratum proxies will occur over the coming week - and will be very time consuming ... so it will happen server by server ...

two additional donation servers are coming online - for these devs ... donate-tnelson and donate-stratehm ...

they should be completed in the next few hours and will be online as soon as we can ...

the op will be updated shortly ...

charitable and laudable. how the first step into the donor donation?

hi sempak ...

tanx for the kind words ...

donation can take many different forms ...

first decide HOW you want to donate to these fine devs ... then how much ( or how long when mining ) ...

if its through btc - then just send the funds to their addresses - we will keep these addresses as up to date as possible ...

if its through mining and this dbm system - its a matter of setting the miner pointed to the dev you want to donate to ...

decide which dev - then what algo you want to mine with - then setup the miner accordingly ...

for example - if you wanted to donate by mining to us - and wanted to mine using x11 - and are using ccminer - and using linux ... then the commandline would look something like this ...

./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
ccminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... windows ...

and can be checked here - https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=125xeUK3Np8oboxSZDb5XYxZxdNwmfEj66&a=3&l=0 ... in the case of this example ...

use the pull down menu on nicehash in the upper right hand corner for the algo you are mining - wait 5 minutes for nicehash to update - and you will see you hashrate added to the graph ( if there is already hashrate already there ) ... nicehash take about 5minutes to update their graphs ...

if you wanted to donate to any other dev using the same settings - then just substitute the dev name to the dev you wouold like ...

for example ...

djm4 ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-djm34.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
kbomba ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-kbomba.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
klaust ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-klaust.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...

and so on ...

the username and password can be anything you want - it wont matter to the stratum proxy ... the stratum proxy will direct ALL of the mining hash to the dev btc address you setup ...

that pretty much it ...

ill help where i can - if you have any issue with the setup ...

tanx ...

for example - if you wanted to donate by mining to us - and wanted to mine using x11 - and are using ccminer - and using linux ... then the commandline would look something like this ...

./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
ccminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://donate-ace.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... windows ...

and can be checked here - https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=125xeUK3Np8oboxSZDb5XYxZxdNwmfEj66&a=3&l=0 ... in the case of this example ...

use the pull down menu on nicehash in the upper right hand corner for the algo you are mining - wait 5 minutes for nicehash to update - and you will see you hashrate added to the graph ( if there is already hashrate already there ) ... nicehash take about 5minutes to update their graphs ...

if you wanted to donate to any other dev using the same settings - then just substitute the dev name to the dev you wouold like ...

for example ...

djm4 ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-djm34.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
kbomba ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-kbomba.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...
klaust ... ./ccminer -o stratum+tcp://donate-klaust.granitecoin.com:7003/ -O chrysophylax:x -a x11 ... linux ...

and so on ...

the username and password can be anything you want - it wont matter to the stratum proxy ... the stratum proxy will direct ALL of the mining hash to the dev btc address you setup ...

that pretty much it ...

ill help where i can - if you have any issue with the setup ...

tanx ...

#crysx

I do not have the tools to mine the rig. maybe I will send a donation to the dev. I am very interested in helping to others. may be useful for all.

you do not have the tools? ...

are you a miner of coins? ... if so - you have the tools :) ...

if not - then you can definitely donate directly to the btc addresses listed on the op ...

if you want to be part of the mining community also - we will help as much as we can ...

hi all ...

we are currently testing the new forum that has been setup for the granite site / coin / development ...

the donation by mining ( dbm ) thread will also be included there and will post here from time to time with the updates ...

we want to make it an enjoyable time in the forum ... so being a test forum currently - it will go through changes as we get to make them ...

the test site is here - http://granitecoin.com/forum ... but when in full working order and out of test - it will be here - grn-forum.granitecoin.com ...

please have a look and register and have a look around ... it is currently bare until we start getting some flow in there - but we will continue with posts and updates regarding granite on there ...

your constructive feedback is always welcome - and encouraged ...

help us make the granite forum a part of the granite ecosystem we are building - with all that is granite AND crypto ...

hi all ...

first ...

donation access have been slightly changed so that when you do mine for the devs and look at the nicehash link - you will not be confused by whether you are mining the right link ...

when the stratum proxies are active - under the nicehash graph is the worker for the dev selected WITH their name now ... so if you scroll down below the graph on the nicehash page - you will see the name of the dev and the current hashrate that is being pushed through that link ...

for example ... if you are mining scrypt for doantion to wolf0 - and check the nicehash site - you will see his name under the graph ...

https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=1Jp2R7dF9gYr872FkXiap2MaYaHNEfwWhZ&a=0&l=0 ...

second ...

some of the servers have been changed over to the newer systems and has been completed a week ago ...

the whitelist for the servers on nicehash needed to be changed - and a request sent to nicehash support ... unfortunately ( by a mistake on my part ) the whitelist was not complete ... which means there are a couple of servers ( including ace / crysx - so im not exclusive to this ) that are now not functional on the nicehash system ...

these are ...

- donate-ace.granitecoin.com / donate-crysx.granitecoin.com ( same server ) ...
- donate-pallas.granitecoin.com ...

sorry pallas ... you are stuck with me on this one ...

nicehash support have been emailed with all the correct details - and i await their reply ...

third ...

two new servers have been commissioned and are active - but are awaiting confirmation from nicehash that they also will be added to the nicehash whitelist ...

these are ...

- donate-tnelson ...
- donate-stratehm ...

the op and the devs details willl be updated shortly ...

fourth ...

due to the massive attacks we have recently ( killing two of our servers ) - we have been looking at various ways to combat such issues as ddos attacks ...

as of 12 hours ago - we are now running ALL our servers and systems including the website through cloudflare ...

as we grow - and the systems become more complex and more accessible - we will expand the security further ...

fifth ...

slack channel #granite ...

our new slack channel is now open - and i will be frequenting the channel often ...

pm me the email addresses of those who want to be a part of the discussions ...

sixth ...

thefarm is undergoing changes ... big ones ...

- new cooling for thefarm ...
- new design for thefarm ...
- splitting of thefarm ... amd / nvidia ...
- new and improved premises for thefarm ...
- new systems in place for thefarm ...

all these things and a few more are being implemented currently ...

the amd section of thefarm has been separated - will now be private - and will be taken off the rental systems ... it is now being used exclusively inetrnally and for the development of 'bigger and better things' ...

the nvidia section of thefarm will continue the way it has been going - with the exception of a few upgrades ... i am working on a design for a frame to contain the machine that will house and protect the new gpus ... this design will encompass the requirement for the gpus that use more power than that of the gigabyte 750ti oc lp cards we are currently using in thefarm ... yes - i am talking about housing the gigabyte 980ti g1 gpus - 6 at a time - with room for upgradability ... which will allow for other larger cards to be slot right in also ...

this is a longer term project - but will be the one that replaces all the machines in thefarm eventually ... it is being designed from the ground up - to be modular AND easy to connect - install - and move ...

plug the network cable and power cables - setup where to mine - and start mining ... simple - solid - stable ...

more updates soon ...

ill be copying this same message on the granite thread - as ive melded the updates together ...

have fun mining ...

hi all ...

nicehash have whitelisted the servers in question ...

donate-tnelson.granitecoin.com ...
donate-stratehm.granitecoin.com ...

the details will also be added to the op in the next few minutes ...

a new server is currently being setup - initially for my own personal use for donation - but will be open to the public for a 'hamster wheel' style of rotational donation ...

i will initially start the test privately with a few select devs - then if all is well - will open the donation system to the public and include all the developers supported here ...

this will mean that if you want to donate to all the devs that are on the rotation list - then point your miners to the link and the port that you wish to mine on - and leave it for 24hours ... so that all the devs get a part of the hashrate ...

i am displeased with some of the responses that one particular dev has spoken openly about ... especially concerning my efforts and ideas i have FOR the devs ... you know who you are - and im actually quite taken back and hurt by the disrespect you have shown of my efforts ... as i had a great deal of respect for you ...

even so - that dev will also be a part of this endavour - as this project does not discriminate due to personal slander ...

this project will continue to improve and ideas that may be able to help the devs - will always be tried and test if they can be ...

tanx pfool ...

the fact that had it not been for your efforts - i would have been in a sore spot to make it all happen ... the stratum proxy is a very valuable asset - and you are one of the few im setting up on the private donation test system on thefarm before it goes public ...

this doesnt guarantee anything ... BUT - it allows another avenue for the miners to GIVE - even in the smallest way possible ...

myabe we could work on a system that can be incorporated into pools with multialgo ...

work is being done with another dev ( he wishes to remain anonymous for the time being ) currently to create a multipool - which i would like to have the donation system integrated into at a fee free level ... so that the devs get ALL the donation hash - and no fee gets charged for use of the pool ... pm me if you have any ideas please ... or if you would like to be involved ( if there is ANY time you have spare in that hectic life of yours :) hehehe ) ...

Using nothing at all on dedicated Stratum servers? CloudFlare will only make things worse, or do nothing, anyways - as far as Stratum goes. For a website, they can help.

ok - ill take your advice and still have them listed on cloyudflare - but wont have them running through cloudflare ... the website is still on there ...

hi all ...

a full complete update of all the donation servers has been completed - with only a few minutes of downtime for each server ... this update was an OS update only ...

the next level is to upgrade the startum proxy software to the latest version - which requires a change in config files ... this will undoubtedly be a LOT of work - as there is no conversion app that can be used to import the old config files to the new ones ...

being labor intensive means that i will be upgrading a server at a time - and ONLY when i can pull the server down for a few hours at a time ...

there will be advance notice before that happens - and will be down for as little time as possible while the upgrade takes place ...

there will be a small outage to all the donation servers and granite website within the next hour for a short period of time ...

in fact - anything associated with the granitecoin.com domain will be affected for that period of time ...

this is due to a server relocation / migration for the domains - and all associated services ...

please bear with us as our isp starts and finalizes this process ...

down time can be estimated at 30mins-60mins - but may possibly be more due to the unforseen issues ...

we appreciate your patience as we make this a better ecosystem for granite - and donation systems alike ...

all good tanoury ...

the migration is finished - and went through seamlessly enough ... though if there are any issues - please let us know ...

the granitecoin.com domain is the official domain we will be putting ALL our systems through ...

im about to publish a new wallet for granite on the granite thread that has a couple of small updates - so be sure to check it out if you do use it ...

it needs to be functional AND useable - so only a feature at a time will be incorporated into it ... slowly - like have always done ...

ill be checking all the donations servers this week - and will also look at upgrading the first of the servers to the latest stratum proxy system ... this will add more functionality AND faster experience to the donation systems ... its been tested on my personal server and mining is a breeze with it ... and as always - its still an easy point tothe server with any username and password - and it will mine donation hashrate to the dev of your choice ...

the newest donation server is still in test - which will allow a set of devs ( i have four devs in there at the moment ) to have equal amount of hash as a donation per hour or per day or per set of time we allocate ...

ie - you point your miner with the algo that you chose to the server with any username and any paswword - and the hashrate will be added to the rotation of the devs ... so if we refer to the new server with the four devs currently - in an hour - each dev has 15mins of time that the stratum proxy allocates to each of the devs on a 24 / 7 bassis ... so if you want to donate x11 mining to those four devs - just point your miner to the donation server and port ( eg - ./ccminer alldevs.granitecoin.com:7999 -a x11 ) and you will be donating to four devs in the hour ...

this url does not exist yet - but the server IS online and currently testing ... and working quite well by the results we have seen ...

the only issue we have currently is simply which of the devs that are going into the rotation - and the timeframes to allocate as a total and individual ...

ALL of the devs we currently have listed are active devs - and deserve equal time for rotation - but we cant add ALL of them in ... so we may have to setup 2 or 3 servers with a limited dev count each ... so some of the decisions that are required to be made will have to made with the help of the community ...

as always - suggestions are welcome and if there is a more logical and fair way to distribute the hashrate to the devs - sound it out here ...

I like the idea of the donation links and I thank Crysx for that.
Unfortunately it looks like, once again, people don't want to donate to the devs, who are giving their money-making machines for free (even if someone provides additional free tools for the purpose, like in the case of this thread).
It really looks like a paradox.
Come on guys, "the best things are for free" doesn't mean they'll stay like that forever ;-)
Is an egg today better than a chicken tomorrow?

I like the idea of the donation links and I thank Crysx for that.

i appreciate your words pallas - kind and very true ...

there is a distinct value in tools that allow people to operate the products that they have - in a manner that benefits them ... especially if those tools are of a free and opensource nature ...

i think that maybe there is not too much call for individual donations as such - but more a call for people to donate in a conglomerated and community manner ...

what i mean is - if there are fewer and fewer people willing to donate to those that provide these tools / improve these tools ( like yourself ) then we should really look at a more communal way for the donations to take place ...

hence the reason i am working on the rotational server system - that works off algos rather than specific dev ...

there is another way of doing this also - but i have yet to test it ... and would be very benficial on an official pool that is for the devs - rather a general pool that people mine ...

in anycase - it is STILL up to the community to mine there and have their donations given with their consent ...

looking further into this ...

btw - i will be shifting more focus on the granite forum for these sorts of discussions - including the progress for granite as well as mining / thefarm / farmamd ...

Hey,

Just an idea.

Imagine if a dev creates a mod for lets say (ethereum), + 20%.. or whatever.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to implement a specific pool (donation pool) and that mod inside the software. So that the dev(s) benefit from this for a specific amount of time?

Miners themselves wouldn't lose anything as they are still mining at the same rate that they did before and thus are donating at the same time.

I know this is difficult for especially unix systems, because it's easier to extract the mod from the software.

But at least for those windows users out there (and that's a lot) it would work out.

Maybe depending on much that specific user has donated, the software/mod would be released to that person sooner, or to the public.

The idea needs some fine-tuning, and i'm not sure if it's doable, or even if the devs would agree with something like this. But i for sure would jump in immediately.

It's maybe worth thinking about :)

that suggestion has been put forward a number of times by a few users on the ccminer-spmod thread ... and the result is almost always the same ...

windows users are not an exception to the rule - but i agree with you that they are just a little outside of that rule ...

the software that is available today is opensource in most cases - and in the case of a windows compilation - code can be implemented for a percentage to donate - but very few devs have really the inclination to implement such a device as its rarely something that would bring them any more than what they get currently ... and that happens for two reasons usually ...

first - community members and miner would much rather mine with free opensource miners that are close to the hashrate that the 'mod' or private kernel does ...
second - to implement something along those lines would inevitably section out the larger farms as they are prone to using linux as their main mining os ... windows becomes just way too costly on a licensing level ...

it IS doable - just not worth the effort on a mining scale ...

BUT - with donations being so damned scarce - there does need to be a way of doing it ... leaving it up to the community - well - you see what happens ...

people take and take and take - but give back very little - if at all ...

so its no wonder a great many devs have such little faith in supporting those that give so little back for their efforts ...

hence this project - at least in its current form ...

there are a few things i would like to implement - but i too need help with the backend system - not donations as such - but developers time and effort as a donation to me to help the system grow and also help in getting more and more miners interested in working toward a fair donation system ...

there is still much that can be done - and the ideas are always welcome ... maybe if we can get a team of devs to create such a system ( whether they be private mining kernels or other ideas ) then we would have a better chance of getting things done ...

tanx for the input - and its always something that can be taken on board ... maybe one day we can make the communities of miners wake up that without the devs - there would be no decent mining software out there to begin with ...

btw - would you 'donate by mining' to a system that donates on a rotational basis the various devs through a 24hour period? ... im working on a system where you point your miner using a particular algo - and it will mine for a certain period of time to one dev - then switch to another - then another - and so on ...

an equal amount for each dev in the system within a 24hour period ...

hi all ...

next week we will be starting the full overhaul of the donation servers ...

the os will have all its updates done - the apps will be upgraded to the latest version - the configuration files will be rewritten and simplified as well as cleaned up ...

all in all - the entire system will be streamlined - thus making for a very efficient system to handle ( almost ) all the hashrate we can throw at the servers ... this will take the majority of a day and night - or spread over the week ... the likely outcome? ... i will be stuck into an entire day and night to finish it ... :) ...

we will be collating the logs - and resetting the all files and data when each server gets upgraded ... this will start with donate-crysx.granitecoin.com - then donate-djm34.granitecoin.com - and so on down the list in alphabetical order ... so if you are finding that one server is down - thats probably the server thats being updated at the time ...

i will post here as each server is going through the maintenance and upgrade - and will keep you updated as we progress through them ...

id like to give tanx to all that have donated to the fine devs so far - and will be looking towards donating more hashrate in 2016 ...

many updates will happen next year ... all of which we are working hard to build the groundwork now - for rollout next year ...

if there are any suggestions as to what you would like to possibly see implemented into the system - please leave your suggestions here ( bct ) or on theforum ( the official granite forum ) ... more and more posts and threads will be active on theforum - as we migrate the majority of updates and posts of 'all things granite' to theforum ...

with the newer upgrade the stratum proxies may be web accessible - BUT - the anonymous nature of the stratum proxies will be forfeited ... that is - once the web interface is active - it will show not only the hashrates and the specifications of the proxy - but also the miners that are mining on the stratum proxy ... the miner names - the miner hashrates - the miner graphs - the miner shares - the miner ip - the lot ...

i would really appreciate some feedback regarding this - and i shall keep the web access closed unless the community in general do not have an issue seeing all the stats and graphs of the donation servers ... a poll will be setup for this as well as your comments ...

tanx ...

hi all ...

i can safely assume that the closure or release of the data for mining will NOT be an issue or an option ...

so ill keep it all closed for now - with the option for a glimpse into what i am talking about in the very near future with granites very own thefarm ...

im going to continue to keep the current servers alive - but due to the lack of use it is becoming glaringly apparent that less and less miners are concerned with donate by mining to the devs that have put so much into the communities ...

there are more and more devs moving to privatization of not only kernels - but software in general ...

opensource is still alive and well - but the lack of donations by the vast community members is evident - and has unfortunately shown that the small donations that the devs DO get - are usually from the same donors ...

where is the community spirit and communal power we can all have for the devs?

as mentioned - i shall keep these servers alive and shall continue to push for the donate by mining ... this is a SERVICE and is by no means a profiteering entity - so ALL the expenses come from our ( granite ) pockets ... NOTHING is taken from the donations that you give via mining as ALL the hash goes to the devs wallets ...

in any case - the more we help the devs - the more they help us ...

this is a project that is contributing in the small way it can - the way it knows how ...

will be back with a few updates when they occur ...

and tanx for ALL the donations ( whether through this dbm system or otherwise ) ...

hi all ...

chrysophylax here ...

im messaging from this 'newbie' account 'crysx' because i have tried to log in to bct from the new premises - and failed miserably ...

due to my computer being a linux machine AND being fully encrypted AND having a password wallet that is fully encrypted - i only ever really need to know a few passwrds ( 16 in all ) ... one of the passwords ( and details as i later found out - due to the questions that bct ask for verification ) i did not alott to memory were those conatined in the personal encrypted wallet ... one of those was bitcointalk password and details ...

yesterday - i tried to log in unsucessfully with the wrong password ... the password is 3 years old - which as long as ive had the chrysophylax profile ... it also has made more than 3000posts and is a hero member - about to go to legendary in the coming weeks / months ... now before any of you carryo on about changing passwords regularly and all that - i agree and am totally devoted to changing 'simplistic' passwords ... not ones that require brute force with decryption algorithms and a farm of hash to crack the passwords ... so to move on with the story ...

more than all that - the chrysophylax profile is also is the authority profile for the granite thread AND the dbm thread ( the two projects i currenty have ) and was about to take control of the other coin we have just adopted - ozziecoin ...

when the unsuccessful attempt to log in was tried three times - i attempted to change passwords via email ...

the email was sent from bct to my email address - and i followed the instructions to the 'change password' link - only to have them as a private question - which i have forgotten the answer to also ...

i didnt think that was much of an issue - except that as soon as the submit button was clicked - i receieved the following message ...

Code:
An Error Has Occurred!

Sorry chrysophylax, you are banned from using this forum!
For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com

now this shows three things ...

1 - the security measures that bct have in place are brief and not very descriptive ...
2 - the security measures that bct have in place are active ...
3 - the security measures that bct have in place work ...

now i proceeded to send an email to the above email address to theymos - and will see what happens in the following couple of days ... being an easter weekend - i would assume this may take a little more time so ill leave it till mid to end of next week ...

if i havent received a response by then - ill message mprep and see what suggestion he / she will advise of what can be done ...

a three year hero profile like mine should NEVER be allowed to go to waste ( as i know many of you have had profiles lost that are much older than that again ) - and there should be various countermeasures to allow the official owner of the account to prove themselves ( like knowing or remebering the last private messages before the lockout - which in my case was the 23rd march 2016 ) ...

but again - we will see what happens with the responses i get ...

i will keep you all informed of what happnes with this through this profile ive now started ( which is the short version of my name anyway ) ...

as for the update so far ...

the move is being finalized on the 28th march 2016 ( a couple of days away ) which means i will be on and offline here for the next few days - only to be completely offline for a few days while i set up house in the new premises ... this means that i will be only messaging when necessary - and any of those of you that needed my attention before this happened via pm ( there were about 7 pms in all - i only got to answer one ) will need to send a pm to this current profile - until i can resolve this issue with theymos ( and mprep if possible ) - to get back into my official profile ...

thefarm will be down and will not be back in to production until another residence for it can be found - and am currently in the process of looking for a small warehouse for its growth and redesign and development ... that will happen end of next week when i have personally settled into my ( partner and i ) new residence ...

i will be posting this message in all three forums that are granite based - AND - the mining forums i usually frequent ( like spmod and tpruvot thread ) ...

much appreciated for all your support thus far - and hope to be back online soon with my proper profile ...

Hi newbie, welcome to BCT. ;D

Wow that's rough. Since you have control of the email contact for your account that should be good enough
to convince them you are the owner, eventually.

When I choose a security question I always choose something I already know intuitively and don't have to memorize.
The question contains clues that are only revealing to me.

I hope everything works out.

the last thing that is needed here - with all the mess of moving and resettling - is an account fumble like this ...

esepcially to start all over again - with all the main contacts in the private messages ...

i dont want to use a basic password - yet i am in this situation due to the [assword being 1 - old and 2 - not basic and easy ...

fingers crossed they will get back to me sooner than later ...

hi all ...

a few changes in between unpacking and sorting ...

1 - the code for ozc has been migrated to my git and has had a couple of changes made to it ... alongside granite - ozc now has a total of ( the same ) 7 seednodes for sync and blockchain distribution ... these are full nodes - which are a service to the entire ozc network ... these seednodes have also been hardcoded and recompiled in each of the seeds - which means the new code also has all 7 seeds ...

the git here for granite - https://github.com/chrysophylax69/granite/ ...
the git here for ozc - https://github.com/chrysophylax69/ozziecoin/ ...

so those that are savvy with linux can compile immediately - and those that have windows experience compiling can setup up their own wallets from this new git ... for those that cant compile - no issues ... over the coming weeks - we will be organizing new wallets for you to download at your leisure ... you will also find that there is no hesitation with sync using these new wallets - which makes for an easier sync as you dont have to fiddle with the .conf files - unless you require it for a specific purpose ( like setting up your own node ) ...

2 - the block explorer that we have been testing and using for a few weeks now is available for public use ... tanx to fairglu for his expertise and dedication to his work ... we are now on cryptoid for our block explorers ...

granite - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/grn/ ...
ozziecoin - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ozc/ ...

with ozc now being part of the granite ecosystem - over the coming months we will be making many changes ... not only to ozc - but also to the entire granite system itself ...

we already have plans underway to have all of the projects under one umbrella - and will be setting that side of the 'mother' site up over the coming weeks and months ...

so far - we currently have the following that we have been working on and will amalgamate into the one website for easier use ...

- granite project ( grn - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=718939 ) ...
- ozziecoin project ( ozc - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578881 ) ...
- donation by mining project ( dbm - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1089744 ) ...
- granite shopping system ( which we will be setting up as a standalone - which accepts grn ozc btc aud usd eu ) ... grn aud and eu is working currently and we are working towards the other currencies ...
- thefarm ( utilizing thegrid ) which complements our projects through mining ...
- the new website ( granite currently - but will change to the new umbrella soon ) which will incorporate all of the above projects ...

a lot in store - and a lot more planned ...

but as with any of you that know how i work - it wont be just 'roadmaps' and 'pretty pictures' with promises of things happening 'tomorrow' or 'next week' ... we mean business and would rather bring the finished products rather than just 'talk' about them ... that can take time - and will certainly take an large effort on our part ... so be patient and always come back to see how the projects are progressing ...

ill publish this post to the other threads in a few minutes ( as this newbie profile is quite limiting ) ...

hi all ...

doing some backend work on the infrastructure - we would like to invite all those who want to mine to test the new inhouse pools we have for our coin projects ...

the pool site is part of the new umbrella that will incorporate all the projects we currently have - and are working on and more will be added when we can ...

website menu ...

Code:
http://pool.granitecoin.com/ ...

so if there are those wishing to mine grn ozc don - please give the new pools a test and see how they perform ...

this is only one part of the infrastructure we are designing and developing for the entire ecosystem - but it is an integral one ...

details below ...

Code:
pool menu - http://pool.granitecoin.com/ ...
pool type - mpos ...
pool algorithms - x11 and scrypt ...
pool ports - 7000 ( grn - x11 ) 7001 ( ozc - x11 ) 7200 ( don - scrypt ) ...
pool fee - 0.7% ...
miner donation - starting at 0.7% but entirely at miners discretion ...

commandline address ...

Code:
grn - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7000/ -a x11 ...
ozc - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7001/ -a x11 ...
don - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7200/ -a scrypt ...

and as we have now been signed on as the official pool for goldblocks - it will be added to the official list of pools we have ...

as the mining demand for goldblocks has been overwhelming - there are two stratum ports for mining ... low difficulty stratum and high difficulty stratum ... for those mining using nicehash or miningrigrentals or any other high hash rental site - please use the hidiff stratum ... all others mining with gpu or asic with a lower hashrate - please use the low diff stratum ...

Code:
gb lodiff stratum setup - stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8000/ -a x11 ...
gb hidiff stratum setup - stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8500/ -a x11 ...

these commands obviously do not include any / all of the settings you would have to mine - so add accordingly to the miner that you use ... such as intensity settings and the like ...

this is the beta site - and as such the pools are in beta until we can test them all fully to make sure that they are responsive - stable - and always available ...

so far though - with the current state of test - all have been workign well ...

as always - let us know if there are any issues - and we will attend to them as soon as humanly possible ... either here in the thread - or on irc on channel #digitaldzyne ... at least for the time being until we can organize a permanent place ( with the website being designed currently ) ...

happy mining ...

hi all ...

so much on at the moment ... and so many thing starting to come together ...

in just a few weeks time we will see the fruits of our labour begin to take shape ...

im off tomorrow to finish the rest of the rebuild for thefarm - though the server will be its priority - so ill be away for a few days ...

though ill still be in touch via skype - my focus will be to get as much done as possible in the short period of time i have to finalize this - so i wont be online for too many hours at a time ... especially once we get all of thefarm running and fully accessible ...

some updates are occurring as we speak with granite - and the ecosystem is currently being built one module at a time ...

the new chain works industries ( cwi ) logo - graphics - website - and support infrastructure is also currently being built ... this includes ALL the seednodes and vps systems and servers and infrastructure - all dedicated and running through the new domain name http://chainworksindustries.com/ which is not currently active - but will be soon ...

the new cwi website will not only be the portal for all the projects we have running - but also the base for the information - stats - knowledgebase - and integrations of the entire cwi ecosystem ... as such - the site will be built incrementally as time goes on - but will have the basic features in full view - when the website is published on the domain in the coming weeks ...

granite itself will receive a massive upgrade in the longer term - but in the very near future will have all the smaller updates being applied as they get developed into the wallet and the code ... so a few updates will happen as shortly as a week or two away - and will continue to fix and add - to make the migration to the new code and new full redevelopment of granite as smooth as possible ...

all this will be revealed in detail as time allows - and incrementally as the new thread for cwi is created starting next week ...

an enormous amount of time and effort and money has gone into this - especially the infrastructure - to bring a system that is not only solid and stable - but simple to use also ...

we have already started work on the designs and systems to make this happen ... so time will show those results - and the projects we have like this one - will become integrated and work seamlessly together in a single simple system ...

from mining to buying - these projects will be units working in symbiosis - and as such will all become part of a larger ecosystem that works and performs as a single unit ... the result will become a seamless integration of different projects - in the one simple to use system which includes the granite wallet ...

now to focus on thefarm infrastructure and finalize the first stage of this mining system - so that it can become a massive unit of measure against any gpu ( possibly others down the road ) mining system in the world ... thats our plan anyway ...

dbm ( donate by mining ) and ozziecoin ( ozc ) - even though will have their own upgrades individually soon - are a part of the ecosystem ... and as such - will play an integral part ...

chain work industries - the story begins ...

hi all ...

a note to inform the community that the new granite wallet will be released very shortly ...

testing has conclusively proven that the backend code has been improved and reliable - and will be updated to github very soon ...

they are mainly technical changes - and mainly to prepare the codebase for a complete change ...

the windows and osx wallets will be prepared soon - and the links will be posted here when they are ready ...

the major change in this wallet version is the location of the wallet files - as the codebase has been changed to the standard naming convention .of 'granite' and lowercase ...

which also means that the wallet location will change from .GraniteCoin to .granite ...

this will be an easy conversion - and steps to do so will accompany the release of the wallet ... as will details of the other changes to this version of granite ...

the release will happen within the next week ...

and LOTS more coming in the near future ... especially the full rebase of granite on the new code - which we have decided will more than likely be based on the new dash code - with prepararions for some of our changes to boot ...

the new cwi website will begin in the following week also ... we have been very busy preparing all the backend - for the web designer to create the front end to ...

dbm itself will be assimilated into the cwi network - and eventually become an integral part of the granite network - to donate by mining ...

tanx ...

hi all ...

now that we are underway with the adoption into the cwi-ecosystem - we will be changing the way things are done with the donation model ...

all up for improvement - and the donation of goodwill to those that deserve our help ...

changes will occur slowly - but surely - and will become an integral part of the cwi-ecosystem ...

tanx for all the support that a great many of you have shown ... our devs are always the ones that we should look after ...

### CWI-DBM - STRATUM PROXIES

hi all ...

will be servicing the dbm system in the next 24hours ...

some changes will occur and for those of you who have used this system - will find that the interruption is going to be a little longer than the few minutes that it normally takes ...

in fact - it will be about a day ...

after this maintenance and change - a full upgrade and complete reassignment will start for the dbm system - now assigned as cwi-dbm ...

these changes will facilitate the donation schedule for thefarm ( when its fully rebuilt ) - so that ONLY those who are on our system will benefit from it ... whether its a small or large benefit - those developers will have a chance to make a little extra for their work utilizing our cwi-ecosystem ...

cwi-dbm will also work in conjunction with our cwi-pool system - which is currently being constructed and tested and improved ...

the op will be simplified - as ive made it too damned complicated and messy ... but im a tech fella - and dont 'really' know how to make things pretty and simple ... unless its code :P ...

so a few changes coming about very soon ...

### CWI-DBM - REBUILD

Hi All ...

The Donate By Mining (DBM) system has been a long standing project that has had it's ups and down for some time.

However, the use case for the project has been limited, and not as popular as we would have liked, though the technologies and structure, coupled with the main idea, is a project we wish to further continue developing.

In such a case as this, we will be restarting the project, and the development of it, on an internal basis, which for the foreseeable future, will mean that our internal systems will be utilizing this very efficient form of mining. This in turn allows the direction of what we mine much more flexible, and as theFARM itself grows into a very powerful mining system itself, can and will be utilizing the DBM project extensively.

The OP will also be changed, as we no longer support some of these developers, especially Rune Stensland (sp_) due to the greed and lack of concern that he has regarding the community as a whole, and the CryptoIndustry in general.

Within the coming months, there will be some major changes happening to the DBM system , and we will be utilizing his system as effectively as possible for our own internal mining. Updates will happen from time to time, but it is more for informative knowledge, than community use for the time being.

Many thanks for those that have used the system to donate hashrate to their favourite developers. We get ZERO funding for any of this, and do not take ANY hashrate for ourselves, as we set this system up more as a benefit for the developers, than anything else.
