ICO went 36 hours over schedule as well, generating another 10 btc for the dev. No comment on whether those buys would be cancelled. Dev obviously doesn't want that, but goes against everything stated in thread

Yeah dude, and that 6,666 hour target timespan denotes the sliding window for diff adjustment is 6,666 hours.  Its like instamining pos, but without a checkpointing node.  Its gonna be staking like sub-second and not adjust for 9 months.  Gonna be frolicsome.  I conjecture maybe it was designed so they can ravish the dpos?  In authenticity its just gonna fork all over the place, albeit maybe that's the intention and they can just declare their chain the valid chain and checkpoint it.  Additionally that last POW block set so far out at like 16M blocks is crazy hazardous as it signifies facile to 51% by firing up a miner.  Not sure if that's intentional or not.  It's pretty weird tho.

well even so, everyone knows by now this dev can not code anything, as he lacks the basics, so how will he ever be able to fulfill anything on that roadmap! This is a lost cause.

The bigger concern is that right now, the way the code is setup, anybody can steal all the ICO coins.  Like all 28M or whatever.  Its super easy.  You can mine POW blocks at min diff.  Just mine like a hundred thousand blocks so you have the longest chain, against a private node, get it to start staking and then put it on mainnet.

Disregarding the VERSA for the moment.

How this situation is being handled by C-cex is a big red flag.

Several possible explanations come to mind:

1/ They are in on it
2/ They are complete idiots
3/ They themselves plan on doing a runner

Either way an exchange that planned to stay in business would not handle this situation like this. Have a think about if you wish to keep your BTC and other coins there, trading with them is only rewarding this behaviour.

Why CCEX not doing anything regarding this issue?

1) We'll hardcode the seednodes later. It's a five minute job.

2) "no news event" is a "killing argument". We can use any sentence or any combination of letters, no matter whether that sentence seen in the news or not.

3) The date to which the genesis block is timestamped is a more "killing argument" than p. 3. Yes, we made genesis block in April, fully designed our project concept and launched in July.

4) These were old dlls and they make no difference to coin source.

5) We're pegged to 25 sec. block time, because it is necessary to make the concept working and particularly, to bring the Satellite network to life. That's why we'll have POW running along with DPOS. POW block count doesn't make difference either - we'll fork the source at least twice before our test launch in late August.

Didn't you say ico would end about 5 hours ago now.... who told you this and why are they not addressing the public.  Last time I ever use c-cex. I can't believe this is tolerated and that some people stand by them. Jokes that they are just napping after a long session. It's exchanges like this which will do nothing to help crypto and harm it's reputation amongst the masses.

If C-cex starts this ico as normal and leaves buyers to take a big loss after the 50% buy wall falls, I will never so much as look at C-cex again. And I will make an effort to let everyone know what happened here.

You are funny boy and need to grow up. The fact someone writes into the timestamp some event (no matter what) to coincide it with the epoch time does not mean everybody does the same. This could be any random sentence. It's absurd to even mention this. Keep going, boy.

He hasn't made anything yet. C-cex has complete control of and responsibility for how this situation turns out.

I was able to mine a chain with greater trust score than the existing one by setting my clock back before July 6 and mining a bunch of blocks and then setting it ahead again and mining some more. 

I took it down because I know people have real money tied up in this thing, but I wouldn't move any coins off an exchange to stake or anything like that until this stuff is fixed, and if I were c-cex I wouldn't enable deposits.  Anyway, it can be fixed but I guess it is just showing that the stuff people are pointing out is not FUD but things that should be dealt with in the code.  A lot of the issues are more headache-inducing than anything, like the pchmessagestart being the same as 2 dozen other coins (:O), someone can just addnode some other coin wallets on other ports and start pushing bad addresses on the network for instance and it will cause weird things with wallets getting continous out-of-sync - saw that in a couple coins a month or two ago.

i kinda like the idea of this ICO, it was just handeled SO unprofessionally (nevermind the code problems) that im also HAPPY it got killed so it didnt go south AFTER our BTC was in this guys(?) hands.
EDIT: let it be known my opinion is based on the fact that im 90% sure if the dev said he's killing it and it does get killed, C-Cex WILL give us our BTC back. I highly doubt the exchange goes 404 over this guys fail launch. so for me , the devs last statement is a end FINALLY to 2 days of BS that i was financially invested in. so ya im happy haha

Srs what the hell are c-cex doing

This experience has given me renewed faith in the BCT altcoin community.  There are a lot of smart, talented, good people here and it is refreshing to see that shine through in expending time, expertise, and energy in investigating the source code for this coin and holding the dev accountable.  I invested a meager 0.35 BTC on this ICO but had no qualms in risking that investment to ensure the truth came out BEFORE this thing went live.  Glad to see others of the same ilk in our ranks.

I've a sneaking suspicion that at least half of those were by people affiliated with the development/launch of that coin.  No proof, but that amount just doesn't make any sense.

Such sloppy basic engineering is compelling evidence that the dev's skillset is just not up to the job. One can only hope that he/she will eventually come to see this as a positive learning experience.

This has never happened before. Ccex has been a few hours late before, but this goes from incompetence to outright scam.

Hmm, at least in my feeling this is the fourth or fifth time something shady happens about an ICO hosted at C-Cex..

"Dev's" usually always get their money and disappear once the funds have been released there

To host an ico and allow the advertised end date to go into an indefinite end is unprecedented, for any exchange or any ico I've ever heard of.
We are most likely looking at the end of Ccex, and the 1 btc I foolishly threw at this believing trading would start soon.

Now they abandoned CIRC and created VERSA.
Perhaps it happens a small pump&dump before they leave versa and create the next.

CIRC abandoned c-cex for the record.  Don't blame them.  It's a cause for celebration when any coin escapes that shithole.

This is absolutely not the end of Ccex-- I may not speak for everyone, but I know what I'm risking when I put up BTC for an ICO on this platform. There's plenty of room for side deals, workarounds, and plausible deniability when they break the ICO rules they set for themselves. As long as potential profits outweigh potential risks I will continue to use it.

The bad code and obvious backroom dealing were two risks I didn't account for, but I certainly will in future dealings with Ccex.

I'll kiss my 0.5 BTC goodbye without a second thought... plenty left to play with after cashing out CRAVE, BALLS, and 10k, all on Ccex.

Have fun trading with yourself. I and a bunch of others will never trade here again if we are ripped off by Ccex itself. I don't give a fuck about what happens with the coins themselves, but the exchanges need to have trust or they will not survive.

Not only did C-cex fail to follow the Versa ico end time/date, they aren't even giving buyers a new end time/date!

For 2 days after the ico end time C-cex admin failed to answer a single open ticket or post a single thing anywhere on why they didn't start the ico and where they stand.

Ico rule:
"Wallet and its blockchain or asset has to be fully functional at the moment of ICO end as we have to open it for deposits and withdrawals for our traders."

The dev has said he is going to fork the coin and start over - 2 FUCKING DAYS AFTER ICO END!
C-cex is telling us, it's trading customers, that they will give the dev all the time he needs. We all know the second the ico starts, which I'm sure the dev will be the only one aware of it, that the 50% buy wall will be taken out and the coin will go to a few sats.

This is outright collusion with the versa dev or they are one and the same scamming us, the traders.
It just never ceases to amaze me how many stupid fucks there are here. To say C-cex is just acting like a platform here and the buyers simply made a bad choice buying Versa is ignoring the elephant in the room.

TAM sank below 75% during the 5 day period but the full buy wall was never put back up at initial ico price. This was a huge red flag to me that C-cex wasn't going to follow their own rules, but I ignored it.

When the price falls to 100 sats the C-cex rule of putting the rest of the btc up because the price fell 75% will be ignored as well - take note when that happens.

This is absolutely the first time this happened. Every other ico you had the 50% buy wall option, they took this away for Versa. The 50% buy wall is the ONLY FUCKING REASON I and many others buy these ICOs. THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE. Get it now? How many more times do I have to say this?

Sorry I never buy ICO's.. Especially not on C-Cex, so I did not follow all that drama, I just had a look at the source when notsofast asked me to and I saw it was literally just a big mess... Far from any promise they made concerning their "functions"... It wasn't even close :)

I don't give 2 shits about the Versa coin. I can't even remember the last time a coin came out that was worth  a $1 mkt cap, they are all worthless tokens of betting - like roulette wheel spins.
The only story of mention is C-cex has officially crossed the line into direct scamming - they have basically become a scammer developer. I can't imagine somebody trusting their coins on this exchange after this.

Lets say you start an ICO for 100 BTC on the exchange S-Scam

You know all you need to provide is a working altcoin wallet to S-Scam's "Dev's" to get at least 50% of the (sold) ICO funds.
So 50 BTC here because there will be a buyback-wall set up at the same price the coins where sold during ICO after ICO finishes.

During ICO or after ICO you notice that you're such a bad developer that you cannot integrate the features you promised and you remain silent.


You still get the 50% of the ICO, right ?

Versa dev is so incompetent he released a new wallet with 0 TX fees, you can send 100's of spam 0.00000001 TX's and bloat the chain for free.
This means the chain can not be stable and violates CCex rules

set up three nodes, ban the "main chain's" ip - mine like 1000 blocks, then unban the main chain's ip and voilla - your chain is the winning one since its longer and has more nodes...

hell no. i bought a bit of what was obviously a sketchy ICO to try and profit on the DPOS phase but I didn't think the exchange/dev would dump all its own self bought coins on the buywall within seconds.

The versa dev is not industrialcoinmagic by all investigation I have done. But that is all I can reveal.

Bitspender has not gotten back to me with escrow information.

The market is weak so I continue to investigate. I will stop investigating when the price goes above ICO price - even 1 sat - for a significant period of time. Every time I test for a connection between the versa dev and the individual I have found, it comes up positive - no matter what type of digging or analysis I do.

This is a public notice that this individual should work hard on this coin that so many people paid money for.

Only way it will see ico price again is if the dev has bought nearly all the coins back cheap and pumps it. I don't see that happening, I think he's dumping for anything he can get and the coin will die soon.
This dev is the worst of the worst, but what C-cex did to ensure his ico profits was just unbelievable. You expect to get scammed by most dev's, but not directly by an exchange.
