@OP- if you can provide pictures and be willing to send to a trusted escrow who will forward the coin to me then I could be interested. I'd like pics ASAP please.

To the OP, when you take those pictures can you please make sure the pics are clear so we can see the detail and know the 6 digit address prefix (so we can verify the coin is funded)?

Thanks.

This is actually a point ive often thought about;

When it comes to Casascius coin, wouldn't it make more sense to blur out the prefix, while ensuring that the photo is very clear and proves that the hologram is intact? This way, the particular coin cannot be 'tracked'. I personally believe this is the best way; has a fully intact casascius coin ever been seriously questioned regarding it being funded?

That said, im happy to ensure it all shows clearly if thats what the buyers want :)

p.s. What are the market's thoughts on using throw-away handles vs. original accounts for sales? I didnt put much thought into it; just figured 'why not'. On one hand; escrow and clear photos eliminate risk. on another hand, the well-known individual may gain much more interest. Thoughts?

I dont see an issue with a throw away but of course escrow needs to be used.

For that matter im assuming you are someone amongst all of us here, why the anonymous name being needed.  I could see if you had a 100+BTC cas coin or bar as you wouldnt want people trying to find out where you live but dont think that your coin would garner that.  Not knocking you just wondering why.

No good reason, suppose I just wanted to experiment :)

Battery is taking a while to charge; I will reveal excellent quality photos tomorrow, in addition to my identity which you are all familiar with.

In the meantime, first person to guess my normal account handle via PM gets a prize! (1 guess per hour). Have fun my friends!

Why are you hiding your identity if you are simply going to reveal it tomorrow ???

I know that I am going to be very excited to see pictures of such a beautiful coin :)

What is the prize for guessing your identity?

LOL no, it is not me haha. I stated this is not me in my first post in this thread. I came across this thread because the OP posted in a thread that I am following, and I was curious as to who someone with such an interesting name was posting in smoothie's auction thread was.

I would think creating this thread would probably hurt the value of the coin that I plan on selling in the near future, regardless of the outcome in this situation.

I think the throw away account is sort of silly, but if you provide pictures and escrow does not matter. I do think that selling with a trusted account is always better since it keeps everyone more relaxed. Good luck on the sale!

So you created a new 'throw away' account to protect your identity then later in the thread you say you're going to reveal your real identity along with some pictures? This doesn't make any sense?

If you're serious and actually have the coin you're trying to sell I'd recommend that you either sell it on this thread with some good pictures with your username and date in and accept escrow or just post it from your real account.

Either way I don't really understand why you've done this? Perhaps just some high jinx Saturday night fun or weird new scam attempt ???.

So assume that it is true, I'll make a guess that you currently have 63 level trust ?

The funding interest is also to make sure the coin hasn't been overfunded, beyond what Mike first funded the coin with - to me (not everyone) this ruins the original value and state of the coin.

I think using a newb account to facilitate sales is fine, you'll just be expected to use an escrow for the sale and payment.

This is most likely not the same coin that miffman sold to monkeynuts earlier this year. The syntax on the miffman/monkeynuts coin was [address] Silver, while the syntax on your coin is Silver [address]. Although it is possible (but IMO very unlikely) that monkeynuts were to get the coin reslabbed.

Prior to posting the picture, I did have one guess as to who you are, and honestly didn't think any pictures would ever be posted. Now that you have posted somewhat of a picture, I haven't a clue who you are

My second guess (it's been over an hour since my first) would be bitmarket.io

Do you happen to know when about it got graded? If it was more then ~2 months ago, then the theory going around that ANACS is giving out generally higher grades would somewhat be diluted.

I not sure when exactly it was graded. That said, it does look quite flawless in the photo if I do say so myself :)

Don't be disappointed, I think we all just looked to deep because of the reward you were offering. I chose the users based on a couple of things. I firstly did a search for users on here who have dealt with graded casascius coins and who ship from North America. Although I didn't get anything concrete, I know that Bitmarket recently got a bunch of silver coins grades from ANACS including an MS-69 and MS-68.
I guess I just don't see enough of you selling ANACS graded coins.

Beauty of a coin, Elianite, I hope this coin is the one representing the photos in your book!

I hope you get every satoshi you deserve for this beauty, thanks for sharing the really high-quality photos. You know, when you PM'd "photos are up" I thought you meant for your book! I went to the thread for the book and didn't see any photos and was pretty confused...no it's all coming together!

Cheers.
