Whoop whoop!!

Seen as this is community based we need opinions of how best to move forward with block rewards etc.

It has been said on many occasions that there are too many Corgicoins.

It is possible to lower the rewards, should we?

We need Twitter and Facebook to spread the word of Corgi domination.

This is a fun coin with lots of potential now.

There are works in the pipeline, watch this space!

Ok Corgtopians, or Corgifans, or Corginsanes ,nice to see activity here, thank you you are amazing.

A question and a show of hands needed from you as a community,

It's been suggested the Corgi as we know it should be swapped to a lower total volume,

100bill to 10bill or even 1bill

This way corgi can remain a functioning part of the immense blockchain.

In its existing form corgi will be mined out in 3 months.

Please add anything I might have missed.

So for myself

YAY for swaps @10bill total,

That way I can still throw corgi about to noobs :), jk.

24hours to decide guys and gals.

Corgi corgi corgi

Edit, hybrid pos/pow possible new algo, this would ensure that corgi will still be mined for the next 100yrs at least.

Oh the corgness. stocking up on these bad boys, its the future, loving that its on cryptopia and its currently in top markets for all base coins. Fucking Loving it! hop on :D oh and btw. if you make it 1 billion. it will be rare as balls, and make it go PoS with small rewards will make it shine. My personal opinion correct me if im wrong

Title: Re: Corgi community foundation
Post by: CrazyCoins on September 01, 2015, 10:42:32 PM
Personally I like 10 billion.  Even with 10 billion swap would be 10/1.  I like pos with that and I agree that it should be small but large enough to attract.  If the number agreed upon is 1 billion then I think pos for sure and in my opinion the pos should be higher rewards.  Corgi is a fun coin and it still can be but there is plenty of room for 10 billion.  Specially if it gets put on another larger exchange which is possible once the value starts/continues to rise.  I think that if a date gets set for the swap and word gets around then everyone will be trying like hell to  get Corgi.....including me.  Maybe the date shouldn't be to soon though.  Word needs to get out beyond Topia for a good rush to begin on it.  I will admit that I am a little behind on this info for the swap.  Just thought I would throw my opinion and get behind Corgi even more.  Let me know if I can help with Twitter or promotion or whatever is needed.  I am not familiar if there is a Corgi channel on IRC but if not then there needs to be.  Tip bots and all.  It would boom on IRC and the channel would be packed.  I can help with all that if needed.  I can see Corgi being a big hit and if done correctly it will be a hit with those that like the fun of it as well as those that can see it as an investment.  Tell me if anyone thinks that I am to far off base here.

any eta on new wallet?

Title: Re: Corgi community foundation
Post by: report on September 02, 2015, 05:54:15 PM
update to future corgi

in the current rate of rewards corgi will be mined out in 3 months and do nothing after it anymore.

Plan is to make a new chain and swap the 100 bil total to a 1 bil amount and turn the coin into a hybrid (someone mentioned Sprouts as a good example)

that way we can go on for ages and make the coin fun again for ppl that want to mine and for ppl that want to stake.

Calcing is biggest part to get over with because incentives for miners need to be slightly higher then pos ppl. also we need to find a ideal way for % for new ppl to start with as pos to keep the coin attractive.

Wallet will get a brand new design and notes1 can handle the swap if we go to that.

Because of current swap ration im thinking of a 1:100 swap would occure and from total coins we will have 90 mil still to mine/pos so that can take ages or be mined out fast.

A 1:200 swap would relieve new chain more and we have then half chain to mine and pos for a long living coin. (or make swap and total coins 2 bil is an option also)

any input would be nice from the community so i can start.

1 to 100 swap and make total 2 bil

or

1 to 200 swap and make total 1 bil

I think that if you are going to do a CORG swap and decrease the supply that you give everyone ample notice and I would love to see this coin get a major supply reduction with some POS added to it because that would help generate more interest in this coin :D Cheers

My honest opinion is that the wallet should not be colored orange, it's hard on the eyes to look at and from a emotional standpoint it represents crazy, if you were to go to a mental hospital you certainly wouldn't see any of the color orange around, because the energy behind it. I have support from at least one other person on IRC who saw the wallet update and agreed with what I said. Any other color but neon green and orange on the background of the wallet would be better. I would like the corgi community to voice their opinion about the background color of the wallet too. I don't want to see a background color of the wallet be orange on the final release, looking at the latest version of the new development of the wallet hurts my eyes to look at. Grey or some other color would be better. Please take my views into consideration when releasing the new wallet.

Can someone give me some active nodes, and in return I will give you a 24/7 node you can advertise in the ANN

addnode=98.115.147.74
addnode=54.196.170.73
addnode=108.61.158.78
addnode=162.255.117.105
addnode=68.118.192.140
addnode=192.99.166.26
addnode=115.29.136.244
addnode=76.95.178.229
addnode=209.188.18.43
addnode=79.217.207.250
addnode=82.247.141.228
addnode=91.215.53.243
addnode=162.243.41.34
addnode=50.122.128.166
addnode=50.24.0.249
addnode=192.241.169.209
addnode=72.239.219.186
addnode=188.40.21.52

Problem with original CORGI wallet is that UPnP is disabled so not many nodes are accepting incoming connections.

If someone have contact with http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/corgicoin/#markets administrator tell him to add https://bleutrade.com/exchange/CORG/LTC market to the list, there is some volume occassionaly.

Well, an old wallet.dat file will not work with a new CORGI wallet software. You must use old CORGI wallet (download it from previous page) and then add IPs of some other nodes to sync it, as explained at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=444700.msg13616230#msg13616230. Old CORGI wallet should sync if you have done everything correctly but there is another problem, someone went crazy with mining old CORGI and pumped difficulty to 13+ then stopped mining so now blockchain is not moving at all. So it is pointless to send old CORGI anywhere unless you or someone else starts mining as well.

Hello All,

Thanks for your help! At last after keeping my old corgi wallet sync all night I was able to get wallet sync up completely.

Now,
Do I have to send my coins to CXPJWsjTyHJ3KNBm6RXnrikA1rvnuNKnsm  for a swap?

On Cryptopia forum it says,
From there after deposited and looked if it has the required amount of confirms yourself send a pm to corgiswap by inbox with your new corgicoin wallet address and with your txid from the place you send the coins to this only address.

I will then send you the new coins to your direct address from your new corgi wallet.

I don't see email address where I need to send TXID and new corgicoin wallet receive address.

Please help me one more time.

Hello All,

I am ready to send my old corgicoin coins to CXPJWsjTyHJ3KNBm6RXnrikA1rvnuNKnsm.

However, I don't understand, where to send email for below suggestion. Email address is missing or I can't solve the code.

That is the only way from now on. So once again DO NOT DEPOSIT YOUR OLD COINS TO YOUR ACCOUNT BUT TO THE ADDRESS I LISTED IN THIS POST. All coins that get to corgiswap account by other ways will be seen as donation and will be send to cryptopia for support compensation.

Please Help!

There is no email, you must create account at Cryptopia and use their internal messaging system to contact corgiswap account.

What wallet version you are using and on what OS? Did you added corgocoin.conf? After adding conf wallet got synced up for me.

I have this version.

v1.4.1.2-unk-beta

I don't find a config file.
I have addnodes some addnodes i found here in the debut screen.
But still 0 connections to the network.

How do you create a config. file?
I have never done that before.
My wallet doesn't synchronize too.

I am using the new wallet I think V1.1.1.1 New V1

I am assuming this is using a standard scrypt miner and I dont need any special miner, however I dont seem to be mining any coins even with low diffeculty but I have solid hash rate.

I am rather confused on what wallet and algo miner I should be using.

Sadly I can not make the new linux wallet compile using the makefile.unix

You need at least the following packages in addition to standard Qt dev tools.

sudo apt-get install libdb5.3++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libboost-filesystem1.55-dev libboost-thread1.55-dev libboost-program-options1.55-dev

Run qmake followed by make to build corgicoin-qt

sadly it says those packages are obsollite.

I was trying to build the deamon but still no luck sadly.

Package libboost-filesystem1.55-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

Package libboost-program-options1.55-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

Package libboost-thread1.55-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.

Hi guys, long time no speak. I'm sorry I haven't kept up with the corgi progression on here. I will update the original post with all that is relevant. I have never done anything like this before and I can only apologise to you all for losing track, corgi got legs and ran away from me for a bit. This is a community coin and all are equal.
Thanks
