I agree. Of all the crypto coins I have been involved with in the last 2 years Ruby is the best of them! Great Stakes, Commited Dev, solid wallets, blockchain, TraderDaddy and more.

Ruby is a great coin! To infinity and beyond !

I am not so long with RBY, but glad to be here too. I like POS coins, they don't have a constant dumps by miners. Stable and growing price looking good too.

All I have to say is God Damn!, pardon my french.

I never play with alt coins really and started to dabble with ruby only because I saw it on bitcoinwisdom just over a week ago.

Best profit margin I have had since selling hash rate to people mining paycoin. Wish I would of put in more @ 0.00003

This has been one hell of a party. I still have coin in and am excited to see where this ride takes me.

I am not a dev of the coin, but as I see it, couse is only POS:
total supply at the minute: 22,246,680 RBY
so max supply in (year):
2016 => 22,246,680 * 5% (total now) =  23,359,014
2017 => 23,359,014 * 5% (total 2016) = 24,526,964
2018..
2019..
2025 => 36,237,493 (after 10 years MAX - depends is all coins staked)..

I can PM you more calculation if you looking forward more then 10 years, let me know.

ps.correrct me if I am wrong, I only used windows calculator.

There is no maximum. All proof of stake coins are like this, otherwise the blockchain would stop. Around 1,000 to 2,000 Rubycoin are created each day through staking.

Thanks.

No. it's a completely separate blockchain so any RBY that you have on V1 have no value and can no longer be converted to V2.

RBY is now 100% PoS (Proof of Stake) meaning that you can no longer mine with hardware (ASICs, GPU, or otherwise). You now earn RBY by keeping it in your wallet and earning interest.

Volume dropping & larger dumps.

"i think the run up in price is over for now" - and it's even better if happen, slow steady growth is healthier for the coin. If you mean that there will be no increase of 15-20% per day maybe you're right - that was bit crazy run for me, but doesn't mean bad - couse took a coin on new level and attracted the attention of investors.

"volume dropping" - yes, sometimes is dropping (especially when people are sleeping) and sometimes increasing (when they are more active) - nothing surprising.

"larger dumps" - believe me I analyzed transactions in details and those not found, at the moment there is about 7:5 buy/sell ratio so more "green". Keep in mind that the coin is now more expensive, and it is normal that the game is in bigger amounts. Could you please show it to me where are those "larger dumps" you talking about.

It's cool that you write here, because it is good to know someone else's point of view and be able to discuss about it, in the end are these forums and without it easy to miss something.

Staking is interest earned for keeping coins in your wallet. APR is 5% and you must have the coins in your wallet for a minimum of 8 hours. Keep in mind that the more you hold the faster/more you'll stake. Given the rise in attention and price I would expect the staking difficulty to be up a bit, so it'll likely take several thousand to stake in a reasonable time now.

Is there anyway to change the location to here the blockchain downloads?

you mean a block bootstrap?

https://mega.co.nz/#!CV82HRCJ!fhKaskMrS-0881k26f_LVwY2d_KrUTNdxHqqcFHjjug (https://mega.co.nz/#!CV82HRCJ!fhKaskMrS-0881k26f_LVwY2d_KrUTNdxHqqcFHjjug)

This should sync you to about block 208775.

unzip and put in either .rubycoin dir on linux or if windows put it in %appdata/roaming/rubycoin folder, then open you wallet.

I am not so long with RBY, but glad to be here too. I like POS coins, they don't have a constant dumps by miners. Stable and growing price looking good too.

Sure is nice when a PoW coin changes over to PoS isn't it? Things like this happen when they do.

Good possibility it's coming out this week according to polo chat logs from fuzzyhobbit. He is trying.

Excellent! Any word on an adjustment for qualifying amounts?

recently a new RBY minimum of 2500 for TraderDaddy was discussed, but value keeps going up, so there is a chance that the required RBY for TraderDaddy could be slightly lower than that.

Last I heard he was hoping to have TraderDaddy out this week. Fingers Crossed!

Where is all the ruby love? Seems to be quiet around here. Traderdaddy still coming tonight?

somebody out there love's RBY -- it's price has gone nuts. I think it's a great coin and I love these PoS conversions. Unless something catastrophic happens (blockchain compromised somehow, etc), PoS is the future of crypto. IMHO!  ;D

Had me worried for a few days there about not being able to buy back in after taking profits.

Ruby has always been a great project but 30k sats in october 2015...not realistic.

Agreed, the price has gone up dramatically. Very healthy rise. We will see this continue for the forseeable future imo.

This is a neat project. The price is starting to reflect it. Good work Ruby!

RubyCoin Price Weekly Analysis – 0.00040BTC Represents Critical Resistance

Key Highlights
- Rubycoin price surged higher recently, but it is facing a monster resistance around 0.00040BTC.
- The mentioned resistance area acted as a major barrier earlier and may continue to stall gains in the short term.
- A break above it might open the doors for a sharp upside move towards 00050BTC.

A new website is being worked on and will have more information. We are still small, and there is much room for improvement, but from a development point of view, a few things set us apart:

- Full time development.

- Survived longer than most, well beyond the average lifespan of a cryptocurrency, and thriving.

- Up to date with security patches: https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/commits/master

- Proof-of-stake enables holders to earn Rubycoin as a reward for keeping their wallet open. Holders are essentially miners, rather than separating the two like proof-of-work does.

- Up to date with the most modern, fair, and secure version of proof-of-stake.

- Pure proof-of-stake is energy-efficient. Large amounts of electricity are not being used.

- Decentralized / No centralized checkpointing.

so does this PoS require stake? OP just says reward 4 rby ....so just an open wallet? can wallet be empty?

Wallet can't be empty. Your balance / network weight x 960 (blocks per day) gives estimation how many 4 rby rewards you should get per day. But remember that blocks mature in 500 blocks which equals to about 12 hours and 30 minutes. That's minimum time to wait before your coins start to stake.

RubyCoin Price Weekly Analysis – Further Gains Seem Likely

Key Highlights
- Rubycoin price rocketed higher this past week and even traded towards 0.000477BTC.
- There is a bullish trend line formed on the hourly chart (price feed from Bittrex), i.e. acting as a support on the downside.
- The price is also above the 100 hourly simple moving average, which is a positive sign.

Wallet says it will take 1000 days to stake lol.  :o
(I have not combined my coins yet.)

My question is, how long will it take to stake 100 coins?
or 1000 coins?  What is the recommended minimum amount
for staking, or optimum "block size" amount for staking?
Thanks for any help!

P.S.  This is the fastest wallet I have seen!

Regarding the above post:  I'm no expert, but i'm thinking...

"ERROR: CheckBlock() : block timestamp too far in the future"

is the time and date set correctly on your computer or tablet?
May be a dumb question, but I had a tablet and apps would not
work unless I set the date correctly on it.

P.S. Also, you could copy and back-up your wallet.dat file, and put that in a different (new) wallet, or different computer even.  Just a thought.  But if your wallet.dat file is corrupted, hopefully you have
an older back-up that is good.

The wallet will handle input size automatically. Trying to manage it manually is not necessary or recommended.

Withdraw Rubycoin from the exchange to your wallet, and keep it running as much as possible. About every minute and a half, a stake reward is given to a non-zero balance wallet connected to the network. Large balances receive more frequent stake rewards, but all active participants earn roughly 5% of their balance per year. Hover over the lightning bolt in the bottom left corner of the wallet to see an estimated time to stake.

So total what I can get is 5% per year from staking ... right ?

Maybe they have wrong information on that site. RBY block takes ~12.5 hours to mature, which is about halv of your waiting time. It's possible that their wallet doesn't even have sufficient amount of coins to stake every 12 hours, or even daily. You just have to be patient. Once you get your first stake you can get total balance of wallet by following equation: <your balance> / (<your stake> / 4).

What version is the old wallet you were using? Was this prior to coin exchange to new version? More info could help.

It's much appreciated that you supported the project early on, when it was worth close to nothing. In 2014, action was required on your part. Although not ideal, with the constant attacks happening towards proof-of-work coins, and the realization that only a few of the largest proof-of-work coins can be adequately secure, it was necessary. It's regrettable that the upgrade had to be done that way, but most made it over to the new blockchain. Checking in once or twice a year would have been enough to avoid any issues.

I am pleased Update from you , ..

Hello folks !

I just managed to download the Rubycoin desktop wallet, and to my big surprise, you cannot import private key (paper wallet) in it??? Where am i supposed to empty my paper wallet then? :)

I'd greatly appreciate some assistance, i did not think i would ever have trouble finding a place to import the private key from my paper wallet, but it seems there are nowhere to do so.

Yes i think RBY is a great coin!

The wallet is fast, and staking pays 4 whole RBY coins!
No need to use coin control either, it is automatic.
I want thousands of rubycoins now.  8)

Staking can be maximized by keeping your wallet online as much as possible, because of the type of proof-of-stake used. Also be sure to disable any sleep/hibernation mode, as it can interrupt the staking process. Hover over the lightning bolt in the bottom left corner to see an estimate. Wallets with larger amounts of Rubycoin will stake more consistently and frequently. Several thousand may be enough for a few stakes a month.

It took me 50 days but finaly I got the first reward, 4 rby :)

I'm interested in this coin as I am a big fan of POS coins and I would like to know what is a good amount of coins to start off staking with?

I would have been plased to see an answer to your question ;-)

Nobody there?

Rubycoin is one of the best crypto-coins there is. :)

The wallet is fast, and it confirms in 90 seconds!  :)

I like the coin image too - it looks great!  :)

The developer is active and he is a very good programmer.

That's all I know right now  :D

TraderDaddy will require you to have 500 Rubycoin on an exchange while in use.

It's an experiment in creating demand through software.

Any update on when TraderDaddy will be released?

It mostly depends on what you can afford. Wallets with larger amounts of Rubycoin will stake more consistently and frequently. Several thousand may be enough for a few stakes a month.

Staking can be maximized by keeping your wallet online as much as possible, because of the type of proof-of-stake used. Also be sure to disable any sleep/hibernation mode, as it can interrupt the staking process. Hover over the lightning bolt in the bottom left corner of your wallet to see an estimate.

Sorry for late reply ;-)

thanks for the info.... so, I am certainly not in the game for staking RBY ;-)

no big deal. Will just play with it on exchange then ;-)

Correct, 500 RBY held on Poloniex to use TraderDaddy. Poloniex will be the only exchange at the time of release. I'm sure more exchanges to come in time.

Have not followed this one for a while, but it looks like you are going the route of requiring coins to run the trader.  It is a good concept to build value for the coin.

I would suggest that you require a set amount to buy/use the trader and then have the amount required lower over time to free up the coins for resale.  This would keep coins constantly exchanging and moving.  Have the trader come up for renewal after a set time.  It will still build value for the coin as well as constantly move coins.

Just suggestions, best of luck.

Welcome back and thanks for the suggestion. I haven't given it too much thought at this point, but it's possible that the amount required may be lowered as the price of RBY rises.

That is not what I meant.  If you set it up to cost an amount of rby, say 5000 as an example, then make the amount required to hold decrease by 1/12 each month so that 1/12 of the coins can be sold for a profit as the months go by, then the ppl that are pumping the price of the coin by purchasing the trader get to make an additional profit if coin keeps rising while at the same time, keeping coins moving back and forth.

At the end of the time period, the trader has to be bought again.  Of course, if it works well, the amount of rby needed would have to decrease as price rises, but same principle for each year.  This should keep price rising and ppl buying and selling coins.  All depending, of course, on the trader remaining useful over time.

This has come up in other discussions about keeping coins moving up and forward.  Just a thought.

Anyhow, good job so far.  Keep up the good work.

Right now it is a closed beta test. There will be news as soon as it's open to the public. It will trade on any of the BTC/altcoin markets at poloniex (a max of 12 markets per user).

So I just want to give major props to the dev for this OS X wallet and everyone that helped if he/she did get help. I've been staking for about two weeks now and this is by far one of the best wallets I've ever used in crypto. It's clean, slick with fast syncing and solid staking. I love the fact I don't even have to worry about keeping it unlocked or coin controls I literally just let it run and do its thing; exactly everything a wallet is suppose to be. I'm buying some more just to stake now lol; Rby is definitely a long-term investment for this next year keep up the good work!  ;)

Bugs being worked out here and there, still testing with the 15 or so users currently in the closed beta. I think some optimization needs to happen before more users are added, but I'm sure everyone will be updated when that time comes.

It currently is only trading at Poloniex. You will need a NEW poloniex account (be sure to link your accounts if you have more than 1 at Poloniex) and 500 RBY in this new account to use TraderDaddy. There is currently no timeline on when pre-registered users will get added, but it looks like it'll be sooner than later. The developer is going to slowly add a few users at a time to make sure things are still running smooth before any kind of massive user access takes place. Just be patient and check your email from time to time for your access letter :)

Is this trade bot made by the devs of rby coin or just made for rby coin enthusiasts?

TraderDaddy is created by the rubycoin dev himself.

Should the pre-registered users already have 500 RBY in their Poloniex accounts to get invited or they can deposit 500 RBY later, after the invitation?

btw it would be great if the desktop wallets balances were taken into account for the TraderDaddy use

You only need those when you are supposed to start trading, but price today seems to be good for getting those rubies. :) I agree that it would be great, but getting RBY balance from Poloniex account is easier as TD is running on server. Maybe there could be an option, where address owner verifies ownership of specific address and server could get address balance from block explorer, but maybe there is some issue with this option.

an idea came to my mind  ::)

an integration of the TraderDaddy into the RBY wallet, ie make the UI in the wallet to access the online bot, and the access would be granted if there were needed amount of coins in the wallet

it could encourage to install wallets and thus support the coin network

scam coin!!!! i already know it

This pump is aftermath of hacker stealing funds from altcoinbot.io's users and using their accounts to buy RBY from himself. And why he chose RBY is that our community has such strong hands that they keep staking their funds. And lots of holders mean less sell pressure in order book, which makes buying higher easier.

This site: https://twitter.com/Altcoinbot_IO had some kind of security breach and hacker got all(?) the API keys from it. Hacker noticed that Rubycoin's order book's sell side look so thin that it is perfect candidate to get maximum amount of the BTC to his account(s). So first pump to 36k (28th of March) might have been market buy to buy enough RBY to be exchanged to BTC. So then he just put high enough sell orders on RBY market. Then he used API keys to dump all coins on those user accounts to exchange them to BTC and started buying RBY with that BTC which was on those polo accounts. So initially he bought RBY with 250 BTC and maybe he saved some for later stage of flash pump. So he got some of the BTC to his own polo account by buying his Rubycoins from Poloniex market. And some outsiders who had high sell offers also got some of it. And Altcoinbot users ended up owning RBY against their will.

do not enter in RBY coin .. It is not safe .. Be careful guys
All the best

I would advice to take time for fundamental and technical analysis before entering any coin. This coin is not looking for shortcuts to get short term price rise. It is looking for long term steady growth, but this incident caused by some hacker doesn't seem to be very helpful at this point. RBY still has untouched Growth Fund, which will be only used when it helps long term goals of the coin: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rby/address.dws?169826.htm

They're too technocratic don't understand the process of how a store of value develops over time and being respectful to customer's trades and money. That's why Yobit rarely ever delists coins. If it were up their "new is gold, old is bronze" ideology they would delist the Dow Jones over Microsoft and Apple hype. Also new digital currencies will struggle to be respected as Bitcoin if the community is continually treated this way. Many of the coins were still giving active services and development.

Shocked? We have no reason to invest in that currency. There are active devs? Plans for the future?

I don't think so.

If you've been following Rubycoin at all in the last 3 years you would know that the Rubycoin dev is active DAILY. Working every day on the trading bot (traderdaddy.com (http://traderdaddy.com)) and constantly keeping up on security needed for the blockchain. Feel free to take a look at the github repo. Latest commit was just 2 weeks ago.

Here are some screenshots of my Poloniex account that was using TraderDaddy. Thought some users would like to see that it is in fact actively being developed and has huge potential.

If you want to see Rubycoin stay on Poloniex, keep trading as if they are not delisting us.

They expect our numbers to drop, instead we will thrive unlike the coins that did deserve to get delisted. When someone tells you no in business, it doesn't mean no, a business doesn't have emotions, they operate on numbers. Let's recover and make the books look great again. Add buy walls to show your support, money on the buy wall is the best way to do that. We have two weeks to show them Rubycoin is not a shitcoin.

I'm working hard to start rolling out TraderDaddy before the delisting.

Thanks everyone, let's turn this negative situation into a positive one. We can come out of this stronger, this is how legends are born.

that is i like from RBY. i like dev spirit, poloniex should not delisting this coin.
keep your spirit my man, prove it dev,, i like you ;D ;D

Traderdaddy.com is real...  Bot building liquidity in the Polo markets.  Supporting RBY but also every other market!  Users of the bot working together, not against each other.  Was lucky enough to be able to join the beta and without lifting a finger made profits of 7% last night while helping to build a *huge* buy wall for RBY.  Check it out and spread the word!

How do I run wallet on  a Raspberry Pi ???

Do I need 32bit or 64bit version of Ubuntu Mate ?
1. https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/ There is ARM version under LTS. Install it.
2. Go to terminal and make directories needed.
Install GIT:
Quote
sudo apt-get install git
Clone ruby:
Quote
git clone git://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin
3. Install dependencies:
daemon:
Quote
sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev
Source: https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/blob/master/doc/build-unix.txt#L53
QT:
Quote
sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev
source: https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst
4. To install daemon: go to your rubycoin directory and type:
Quote
cd src/
make -f makefile.unix
strip rubycoind
    To install QT: go to your rubycoin directory and type:
Quote
qmake
make

This may take a while.
5. make config file to ~/.rubycoin_v2 with name rubycoin.conf
Quote
rpcuser=<your username>
rpcpassword=<your password>
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
6.To run client: daemon: go to rubycoin/src and execute:
Quote
./rubycoind
                      QT: go to your rubycoin directory and execute:
Quote
./rubycoin-qt
7. Some handy daemon commands:
Quote
./rubycoind encryptwallet <your strong password> (insert space before . so it doesn't get stored in bash history)
 ./rubycoind walletpassphrase <your strong password> 99999999999 true (opens wallet only for staking)(remember space always when you insert your password)
./rubycoind getinfo
./rubycoind help
You only need QT or daemon. I would recommend daemon for RasPi as it uses less resources and is accessible with ssh connection

Well, the coin is definitely *not* dead if that is what you are asking.  Still on Bittrex!   :D

Open a ticket to support and let them know you are disappointed in their choice to delist.

The community has multiple lines of communication open with Polo.  They may delist still but take a look at the bounce back after the initial panic session.  Much of that was caused by TraderDaddy getting turned back on for beta testing with less than 10 users.  There are over 600 in the queue ready for the official release.  And if Polo doesn't want the liquidity, I'm sure Bittrex wouldn't mind the boost.

Thought I'd share some screenshots of the latest and greatest from TraderDaddy. This testing account has been active for just about a week.

Working better than ever! If you haven't already pre-registered you can do so by going to TraderDaddy.com/Register (http://TraderDaddy.com/Register) and please feel free to join the Rubycoin Slack or #traderdaddy and #rubycoin channels on Freenode IRC. For a slack invite go to: slack.rubycoin.org (http://slack.rubycoin.org)

A note to newcomers, please do not ask if you can get your account activated. As long as you are registered you will get entry when we are sure all of the moving parts are working as they should. But please feel free to ask questions!

We're well aware that Rubycoin was delisted from Poloniex, but that will not change the continuation of TraderDaddy and Rubycoin development. For the time being TraderDaddy will require users to hold 500 RBY in their Bittrex.com (http://Bittrex.com) wallet. Trading is already active at Poloniex, and integration for Bittrex is currently being worked on.

I am sorry - I do not exactly understand, how does it work. I put my money to TD acc., and some bot starts trading with money? Who is this trader, who created a strategy for this bot? Where is the guarantee, that I will not get call of margin?

Do I have a possibility to choose coins, that i want to trade, or bot does it by himself?

Thanks for your answers in advance.

Hopefully they get those funds to you, but they are the only ones who can do that.

Can you explain your statement: "Hopefully they get those funds to you, but they are the only ones who can do that." ?

Why would POLO block a withdrawal for a delisted coin?

No offence, I am just interested to understand what I miss here

I'm actually a bot developer myself (not for automated trading though sadly) so this project intrigues me. I've always wondered why a "random" coin like RBY kept popping up and now I know it's because it has an awesome project like this behind it. Looking forward to putting TD to work (as soon as my TD account lets me log in that is).  8)

As 99.9% of time in crypto. You have to be patient enough in order to get anything valuable out of that. RBY is no different.

I think info about the working nodes could help

Code:
addnode=45.32.239.220:5937
addnode=104.238.136.238:5937
addnode=72.133.192.154:5937
addnode=1.34.180.245:5937
addnode=104.237.2.192:5937

put them into rubycoin.conf file

Hello, I might be wrong, but I'm afraid those coins are gone forever, as they swapped to the "new RBY" around end of 2014...

Maybe someone else can confirm....

Yes, according to the old Rubycoin thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459622.msg9331393#msg9331393) there was a swap of the old PoW coins v1.0 to v2.0

@degenorate - to make any use of the coins you should have them in the wallet v2.00 (https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/releases) at least

Rescan what?  How would I do this?

- Navigate to the data folder

Windows: Start > Run > %AppData% > Rubycoin_v2

OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Rubycoin_v2

Linux: ~/.rubycoin_v2

- Create rubycoin.conf (if using Windows, make sure it's not hiding the extension)

- Add "rescan=1" and save

- Start wallet

- If it worked, remove rubycoin.conf to prevent rescanning each time the wallet starts.

How would I create the new file, I'm a dummy, need to be walked through this.  And kinda need to sell this Ruby soon.

I really agree with your opinion, If you want to buy now is the right time, because I'm sure once this coin will rise and the price will soar

How would I create the new file, I'm a dummy, need to be walked through this.  And kinda need to sell this Ruby soon.

I make assumption that you are using Windows. Open notepad, add "rescan=1" without quotation and save it to /%appdata%/Rubycoin_v2/ as rubycoin.conf.

I think I'm going to give up on this.  I have no clue how to get the file from notepad to actually work, not to mention I have it backed up on a memory stick, and I don't know how to pull it up.
open notepad write in rescan=1 and save as???? '
I have no clue

Rubycoin is definitely a good buy but given the sudden increase in price I would wait a bit for it to stabilize. I have seen this coin go all the way from 800 sats to it's current price.

When I had checked out the site a couple months ago, I read it as: you need a minimum of 1 BTC to invest for trading, along with 500 RBY (to act as fuel.)

Maybe a whale stepped in?  If someone wanted to, they could probably search wallet transactions.

This is the main question in the crypto world, and its always the same answer. Do your research and go with your heart. No one will tell you what to do on here unless they wanna make money off of you.

Wait for coin to stabilize some and then buy. Ruby coin still has the original dev from 3 years ago. So yes it is  a good buy. Plus since this is POS you will make some $$$ just buy holding the coin

Hi all!

I recently have been having issue syncing my wallet. I've tried several troubleshoots. I have created a .conf file and added the most recent nodes posted above. I've tried the three nodes listed on the block explorer. I've wiped everything in the appdata folder except the wallet.dat and let the wallet redownload. I'm really at a loss. I'm ready to stop investing in RBY. Anybody have some good suggestions?

It does take sometime to get a connection. Just let the wallet be and it'll get more connections. Most wallets take sometime to get a connection.

I just want to say that I'm very happy with TraderDaddy.  It saved me a lot of money during this recent alt coin drop.  It's really an amazing bot.   It's super simple to get set up and use.  It reduces risk, and is very profitable.  A+  8)

Since TraderDaddy requires 500 RBY to allow for the bot to run, I can only see RBY going up in value.  It's going to go up...a lot.  People will realize how good the bot is, and word will spread sooner rather than later.

Don't wait too long to grab your 500 RBY, because it might get very expensive to get a license to try TraderDaddy in the future.

TraderDaddy provides an awesome service of providing liquidity to the crypto market, and makes you money while doing it.. it's absolutely great.

Traditionally Rubycoin surges from 12-15k satoshi to 50k to 70k+... sats several times a year... if you check the trading history.

There are some big whales that push the price down everytime it surges. But in general it is more or less an upward trajectory. Given how Traderdaddy is modeled the price of RBY can only go up.

Remember the first iteration needed 2000 RBY to use the BOT :)

Actually it was 25,000 for some basic functions, 50,000 for advanced functions, and there were plans to add more things for users with 100,000 RBY.

I see some new features added to Tradder daddy. Thought I saw something called velocity briefly before it disappeared. ANy thoughts on the matter? New feature?

It was causing some confusion and others helped me realize that it wasn't all that useful.

Stats, charts, and graphs will be getting a lot of attention in the next update.

Awesome, I would very much hope to see break even point for the active markets please :D That would truly make someone wonder at awe at Trader daddy :)

You have your wallet.dat backup right?  You can try this:  Close your wallet and go to your appdata->roaming->rubycoin folder.  Rename the wallet.dat in there to wallet2.dat.  Place your wallet.dat file that you had backed up into this folder.  Restart your wallet and see if it's fixed for you. :)

Hi, I'd like to run a staking node and have a couple of questions.

1. Is the current GUI release (v2.2.0.1) optimal or should I compile from source? (will be on Linux Mint)
2. Is it advisable to have a rubycoin.conf file configured with RPC user/pass or is it locked down without?

Also it seems development focus is on the TradderDaddy platform (which is awesome) but is there any further development plans for Rubycoin itself?

Thanks!

TraderDaddy is making me nice profit.  I'm not sure the exact numbers that my account has grown because I am constantly depositing into my account from mining and other deposits while TraderDaddy is running.

In the TraderDaddy dashboard it shows the last 100 completed trades.  I copied this data into excel.  Here are screenshots of the data and the calculated results:

http://prntscr.com/hqcok3
http://prntscr.com/hqcoq2
http://prntscr.com/hqcou5

BTC Profit      BTC Price   $ Earned    $ Estimate per 24 hours
0.03410357   $16401      $559.33     $1,118.67

Time frame last 12 hours
100 Completed trade pairs

The 24 hour estimate equates to about 1% of my account value.  This is a typical day with TraderDaddy, nothing special about this day.  It is an amazing bot.  If you use it for the long term it is inevitable that it will increase the total BTC value of your Bittrex account.

The BTC profit made on each trade is getting compounded into the next trades.  Profits being constantly compounded results in an exponentially growing BTC profit curve which will eventually even outgrow your entire initial investment.

I highly recommend TraderDaddy.  I also highly recommend Rubycoin.  More people will learn about TraderDaddy's awesomeness leading to more Rubycoin demand since 500 RBY need to be held in order to use TraderDaddy.

TraderDaddy was working so well with low amount. Went from .03 to .06 BTC in 5 days, averaging 5-7% daily.

Then Bittrex comes along and ruins all the fun. You now need .5 BTC available per coin (market) you trade in order to use the liquidity feature. To slow buy or slow sell it works with the lower sums, but the fun part of TD is the liquidity. Bittrex also did not want bots running away with money, because Bittrex planned their infrastructure poorly and can't handle it, so they made things like TD limited to how many trades it can make an hour.

I give the developers a major thumbs up for their work and being able to react to Bittrex so quickly to keep TD running in compliance with Bittrex new rules they throw in daily.

Now if they would just make a poor man version of TD for Cryptopia where you do not need to invest .5 into each market I would probably get a hard on and watch liquidity go instead of p0rn!

$RBY will make some big steps, thanks for all you do!

Might be a good time to look at Cryptopia, never thought I'd say this but I am trading more at Cryptopia than Bittrex mainly due to the swings in Electroneum.

will the trader daddy support cryptopia in the future? it will be a good choice if the devs also support other major exchanges other than bittrex.

you mean Stake? No, they need to be in your RBY wallet.

I don't know that Cryptopia has enough volume to support a bot like Traderdaddy, but that's not to say it won't ever happen.

Interested as well. What is the difficulty like for staking? Wondering how many I should buy to get started.

The formula is: (your balance / total staking) * 960 = stakes per day

Currently, about 18 million (72% of the total supply) are staking.

If you had 20,000 RBY the calculation would be: (20000 / 18000000) * 960 = ~1 stake of 4 RBY per day, assuming the computer is always online.

Thank you! One more thing, do you guys happen to have a discord for this coin?

What is unique in this coin? Honestly speaking I do nto have any idea why this coin is needed and what it is solving. Relatively small volumes, could be delisted. No idea in my opinion in it. or I cannot find on rby web. I am wrong?

The developer of Rubycoin has developed an amazing market-maker trading bot called TraderDaddy.  TraderDaddy gives value to Rubycoin because you need to own Rubycoin in order to use the bot.  Rubycoin and Traderdaddy give value to the entire crypto market by providing liquidity and market-making.

Currently TraderDaddy is being reworked to function on a new exchange.  It was working great on Bittrex until Bittrex started changing the rules constantly about their API calls and unfilled order rate.  The growth and momentum of TraderDaddy and Rubycoin were climbing at a rapid pace.

So now we are waiting for TraderDaddy's new exchange.  When it's ready RBY will regain its momentum. :)

Always was surprised, how those pumps are happening? Ok, I get the idea that whales like to buy with massive green walls, but why do you buy that if it doesn't make any sense?

Probably just  pump group pumping the price. Trade carefully. I did make a decent coin the last time there was this pump and bought back more RBY with the profits when it died down.

The dev is active and working behind the scenes.  When the time is right you can expect a big announcement for Rubycoin  8)

I see that there was some Github activity when I wrote this!  There hasn't been any activity since though, so I wonder why the price is up today.

It's because TraderDaddy is going to open up soon.  People are rushing to buy RBY which is needed to run TraderDaddy.  You can join the slack to keep up with the news better than here rubycoin.slack.com :)

This is good because this will help us to prevent to get scammed and to lose money, because this platform promotes regulated market which people will love because it's the solution to all problems that we suffer in online business economy.

Oops here is the correct link https://slack.rubycoin.org/.  There is no set time/date when it will open, but it will be soon, any day now.  The dev and at least one other user are testing it out now :)

More funds lead to further development and maybe give us something new that wasn't announced in the thread. I can imagine the team having some ideas that can't be developed due to financial reasons. So, let’s help them

That's not the case at all, RBY has a growth fund which hasn't been touched since its launch https://www.rubycoin.org/about.

Quite impressive that the premine or growth fund has never been dumped on the market since Rubycoin launched in April 2014.

Also the new Rubycoin exchange is looking great: https://blocknado.com/exchange/btc-rby

this has always been a good, and under-appreciated, coin. Dev integrity is 90% of alt-coins, IMO.

will be interesting to get the feedback of the team about TREX delisting.

Sad tho, as this is a way better exchange than TOPIA in my opinion
and all the volume was there.

Anyway, always liked this project and hope it will continue to develop!
