In terms of legit sites, I really doubt it. When searching for a broker I suppose legit means regulated and with a long track record, things which no one that I know of can really offer in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I wouldn't do this! Most of the investment places currently in Bitcoin are scams. Keep this in mind even if you find some sites that will let you do this.

You also have no guarantees that tomorrow someone won't run away with your money! It's all new and unproven!

there is 1broker, yes. i believe simplefx and tradersway also have stock indices (if not individual tech stocks as well). however, these companies can best be described as "bucket shops." they are not regulated and i don't feel especially safe leaving much funds on site. use them at your own risk.

First of all I want to ask, why do you want to spend your bitcoin directly on stocks when you in the future could clearly earn more from it?
I would not sell my coins if I were you, certainly not before next year's halving. After that you may want to reconsider this.

this is a real good advice, people should research a little bit before invest on something, just look how big is this list for example ( well i know this is cloud minning but.. ) -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

btw before doing something like that ALWAYS made a simply search before, this subforum can help -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

who know maybe a simply search will save your money ;)

We'll be looking at something similar like this.
http://www.etftrends.com/2015/10/winklevoss-twins-bitcoin-exchange-could-drive-demand-for-etf/
It's not actually having to directly buy the coins and keep it but it's more like traded fund or stocks. And the discussion about the launch has been going on for sometime now and though I have read reports some claiming that it has gone full swing, but in reality I don't think so.

I would love to play with some of the "traditional" stocks (not crypto related) using my Bitcoin so I don't have to leave the Bitcoin ecosystem to do so. I've become used to crypto exchanges and im honestly too lazy to deal with all those odd looking (to me) stock exchanges. I would love an exchange that feels like Poloniex or Crypto but you are able to deal with Tesla, Netflix, Microsoft etc.. stocks, a crypto -> stock exchange.

Why expose yourself to completely and utterly pointless and very significant risk just for the honour of paying with BTC? Sell them and use a legit broker. You may be humiliated by your peers but at least you'll actually own what you laid out for.

yeah i tried, with a low amount, everything went fine, their leverage is good enough, on some stocks/forex is x50 otherwise the standard x20

but i was not that good at it, and i lost at the end

If you're looking to buy an actual company, 1broker is no help to you. They don't sell stocks, they sell a derivative based on the underlying security, and this is a significant difference. As far as I know, nobody accepts bitcoin for stock trades. If you want to buy an ownership in a publicly traded company, stay away from any broker who isn't licensed and regulated, and definitely stay away from 1broker.

I was thinking the same thing. Online discount fiat based brokers also probably offer better margin rates and trading commissions (because of more competition) and insurance against theft.

As there are no decent BTC exchanges offering RL stocks, you can only use normal stock exchanges only. If you want to buy normal stocks for you bitcoin, speculate a bit and then sell them (or if you want to firstly sell them and after a decent fall in price buy them again) you should consider the volatility of the BTC price as well.
No BTC is accepted as a payment for stocks or you can't use it as an equity to top up your trade account with.
Only thing you can do is to exchange your BTC to fiat every time needed and after a trade you can exchange it back.
I think there is no as high volatility on normal stock exchanges than in BTC price. Let's imagine that you buy fiat for your BTC, buy a stock, sell it with 5% profit and you buy BTC again for your fiat to finish the transaction. It can happen easily that the volatile BTC price has fallen by 5% since you have converted your bitcoins in the beginning. In this case your profit is 0, and we have not included the fees and the tax of the 5% profit of the normal stock exchange trade.

Some stocks/forex is x50 or x20??
That's very fluctuating than BTC price.

For today, i just learn trading experiences from AltCoins.
If you're always pay attention on AltCoins, please PM me. I wanted to fine some advisor to play in AltCoins.

Of course i will pay with percentage of my profits. *trasnparent only

Investing in stocks using Bitcoin makes no sense, because:

1. Bitcoin is likely to be a better investment

2. it's overly complicated and expensive to go fiat -> Bitcoin -> stocks, when you can instead go fiat -> stocks

I presumed that you want to invest in "ordinary stocks" at the general markets (NYSE, Nasdaq...). In case you want to invest in Bitcoin stocks traded at havelock, cryptostocks, mpex and the like, you should be aware that a large percentage of these so-called "stocks" are in fact unregulated junk bonds with an insanely high probability of scam, because many of these "companies" don't even have a valid address.

ya.ya.yo!

Why don't you do the opposite way? Let's trade on normal sites on stocks and from the profit you can buy bitcoin, you can save a lot of effort and maybe money. It's not easy to find a decent broker to work with, anyway. You could save the fees and be able to buy a bit more bitcoin in the end

You can try out HaoBTC (haobtc.com). It is a Beijing-based Bitcoin company incorporated in June, 2014. Although they are pretty new, they have been paying out interest hourly without fail for ten months now. The interest payment, which has been consistently staying above 9% p.a [adjusted to 6%], is generated by their large-scale, high ROI mining operations located in Western Sichuan. Their Cheap off-grid hydropower also helped in increasing the interest rates. You can check out their threads here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1023187.0) and here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1072474.0).

Please note that, I'm not sponsoring this site. It's your duty to check thoroughly and use your own brain: caveat emptor.

Good luck.

Try 1broker.com like others suggest. I am a member for the past few months and only once I faced an issue when my order was executed at wrong price. Support responded in timely manner and corrected it on the same day.

Well, you don't invest in stocks with that company, you invest in that Chinese company.

1broker.com looks better but they don't give any information about their real existence.
I believe they should give their street address on their website. How do I know that website isn't a lonely hacker in Moscow?

So much this. There are already fake stocks on the actual stock market - but Bitcoin is an unregulated space - giving money over for promised returns without actually knowing the people behind it (i.e. accountability) is literally a decision to toss your Bitcoin away. If people really needed funding and they had a viable project they wouldn't have a lot of difficult in securing decent funding (i.e. venture capital).

Firstglobalcredit.com

Seems like there is not a clearly reliable way to do this.

Too bad. However it is always possible to exchange for fiat then buy bonds or stocks...

Investing in stocks using Bitcoin makes no sense, because:

1. Bitcoin is likely to be a better investment

This is not true at all. If you're buying bitcoin as an "investment" you're only speculating; basically gambling. Investing and gambling are not the same thing. When people go to the blackjack tables, they don't say they're "investing" (actually, some of them do, but they're delusional gambling addicts who can't admit they have a problem). Bitcoin is speculation and not an investment because bitcoin doesn't generate income or profit. Investing in actual companies gives you an ownership stake in the company and a share of the profits. Bitcoin doesn't, it just appreciates or depreciates based on supply/demand and inflation. (If bitcoin is appreciating in value only due to fiat's inflation causing the value of the dollar to drop, then you haven't "made" any money, you only kept what you had before inflation.) Therefore, investing in real companies is a better investment than bitcoin because there are actual profits underlying the business. To the extent you earn higher returns with bitcoin during any period of time, you're just lucky your gamble paid off, it's still not an "investment."

That is to say, you can absolutely earn higher returns gambling than investing. But that still doesn't make gambling a good idea. Be aware of the risks of gambling vs. investing. Many investments aren't even a sound idea, and no investment is guaranteed to make money. Gambling is one step further down than that on the spectrum uncertainty.

here we are referring to website like 1broker when you can invest in stocks/forex via cfd, not real stocks/forex, so the passages is only bitcoin-> your desired investment-> cash out in bitcoin, there is no fiat involved

and when someone want to invest in bitcoin, is obviously to have more bitcoin, aside from the intrinsic investment element that bitcoin already offer, like speculating...

Anyways, I suggest people who have bitcoin to cash out then invest the tradtional stock exchange instead, but this is my view.

It's OK if you start with smaller amount and you continue to increase the limit to reach to that amount. After some time it will be as natural as you pay for your coffee in the cafe every morning :)
Never mind, only kidding, but to start to trade with that amount without practice is a kind of suicide thing, for sure

In some countries, you may form a trust or a company. In some other places, the broker may hide your identity, and all your investments will be done under his name. It's getting more and more difficult though, with the ever growing AML and KYC regulations.

Maybe you can manage to find a broker to accept your bitcoin to buy stocks. Maybe you manage to find a good deal and win on the stocks let's say 5% in a longer period of time. Maybe the broker is not charging you any fees for the transaction.
But how you can be sure that for that longer period of time the exchange rate of bitcoin won't change opposite you? If it only rises 5% only you won't win anything as soon as you buy bitcoins again for your money.
Maybe if you want to do daytrade you don't need to count with the BTC exchange rate, I don't know if it's so volatile in a day too
