just download the wallet here https://mega.nz/#!ehIQHZYA!LfnVpD7InrmaLa5MQp6ffvNAmqFF770IbWTl4PUz1Ww
first you get one error with ST13
then open again and it works :D

To get around that error, you can make a shortcut of the .exe and assign your own data directory before you open the wallet for the first time. I do this for all of my wallets because I keep my blockchains on an external hard drive.

@dripper

your stake-code is buggy, look at your source.
Code:
nt64_t GetProofOfStakeReward(int64_t nCoinAge, int64_t nFees)
{
    int64_t nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8); // 10% Yearly interest

    if(pindexBest->nHeight < 5000)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * 1000;  // 10000% yearly interest
    }
    else if(pindexBest->nHeight < 1000)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * 500;  // 5000% yearly interest
    }
    else if (pindexBest->nHeight > 10001)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) / 5;  // 2%% yearly interest
    }

edit:
but tbh, i'm not sure if this is relevant for coins not staking.
if i remember right, the amount must be more than 1?

    int64_t nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8); // 10% Yearly interest

    if(pindexBest->nHeight < 5000)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * 1000;  // 10000% yearly interest
    }
    else if(pindexBest->nHeight < 1000)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * 500;  // 5000% yearly interest
    }
    else if (pindexBest->nHeight > 10001)
    {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) / 5;  // 2%% yearly interest
    }

edit:
but tbh, i'm not sure if this is relevant for coins not staking.
if i remember right, the amount must be more than 1?

Good catch. I think "else if(pindexBest->nHeight < 1000)" needs to be "else if(pindexBest->nHeight < 10000)" instead.

Love your idea of using the exchange giveaway because this will be fair for everyone as well as promote yobit exchange. Will stake this coin to support such idea ;D

If it makes you feel any better even with fix it's not staking on linux (coins from yesterday still not mature). Maybe it will take a little time.

The stake weight is only 17. Like I said, as the block chain gains momentum, then the maturity will normalize.

Here is my stake:

Quote
Status: 253 confirmations
Date: 10/30/2015 06:25
Source: Generated
Credit: 0.27789 DROP
Net amount: +0.27789 DROP
Transaction ID: a43878e8a8f0a49c80dfd05c563d63a3cc2f15b249d95a3773620e400d04efa1

Generated coins must mature 210 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

I don't think the price is that high if you look at it in the long term , admittedly there's a fair gap between buy and sell orders though.

I've been buying 1 at a time all night at around 50-60k I have a pretty large chunk of them staking now. It was easy because most people immediately sell their free coin, so I just kept making orders of 1-3 to keep other people with large orders from hopping over my buys, and the coins trickled in every few minutes. Now you all know the secret muahhahahaha

dev can you tell me how much you hold and what the total supply of this coin is?

Yes i can i hold 14.04473 DROP

And in the intire end there wil be 5,000,000 but thats years away
@ the end of the 10,000 and 5,000% stake reward there wil be around
35-40k coins and thats iff all coins where staking :D so all coins on exchange are not staking
so its more like 30-35k i think

I'm staking with free coins and I have to say. Although free coins, staking this still worth because the price is still high right now. this could be the next MMXIV I have to say  ;D

I don't think the price is that high if you look at it in the long term , admittedly there's a fair gap between buy and sell orders though.

I just bought all 1 orders that are low lol

I've been buying 1 at a time all night at around 50-60k I have a pretty large chunk of them staking now. It was easy because most people immediately sell their free coin, so I just kept making orders of 1-3 to keep other people with large orders from hopping over my buys, and the coins trickled in every few minutes. Now you all know the secret muahhahahaha

I wondered who that was  ;D

what the total supply of this coin is?

The command, getinfo, should normally provide this information,
but in that routine is missing this line:
        obj.push_back(Pair("moneysupply",   ValueFromAmount(pindexBest->nMoneySupply)));

In theory, there should now be:
"blocks" : 1407,
"moneysupply" : 11900.10643000

That would be very helpful if the Dev wanted to add that line
which is present in many standard wallets, in the next release.

PS:
In OP is not indicated the Block time, it seems should be 2 minutes.

We also mined around a 250-350 blocks to get the chain moving those blocks where worth 0,00 drop
So there are less coins then your calculation ;)

I think it takes like 8-20 hours for an input to mature, depending on the speed of the blockchain.

It takes 4 hours to mature. However, after the coins are mature they still need some time so that they can gain 1 stake. When the coins hit 1 stake weight, the wallet will show that the coins are mature

Hi!

I have a curiosity, the stakes that are presumably generated by Yobit,
from the sum of 10000 Drop intended for free distribution, such as the
stake in the block # 100, they are to be considered as a reward for the
work done by Yobit, or stakes automatically recharges funds for free coins?

TIA

Trying to configure wallet in ubuntu 15

Keep getting this error:

Code:
g++: error: /root/faucetcoin/Faucet/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory
g++: error: /root/faucetcoin/Faucet/src/leveldb/libmemenv.a: No such file or directory

Any fix?

The windows wallet works flawlessly.. Run it in admin mode of course. (First boot always crashes)

Thanks for this awesome coin btw!

No, addresses can start with a K or a J for this coin.

i dont think its a good idea to support that site
it will just turn to scam very quickly
ive seen one of altcoin that did that but they have large premine and they just want to distribute it in their investor
but without a premine i dont think that site will work
so guys dont invest this will not work

If you've done any sorts of research into DROP you'd see it stakes at such a rate that makes it PERFECT for investment based games!
This coin was 100% Premined, And then distributed on yobit. This service merely offers DROP holders to double their holdings easily.
From our calculations there are over 14K DROP in existence right now. Plenty around to play some investment based games!

Please don't call us a scam, We are merely trying to offer a service for this awesome new gift to the crypto community!

Well, Yes actually. Its all in the DROP blockchain.
When a blockchain explorer gets set up we will have increased transparency.

Are you behind a firewall by chance? Make sure you have port 13876 open.
Also, I found when installing it on windows you have to run it as administrator.
Be sure it is allowed on private and public networks as well!

I can confirm the windows wallet works on my 64-bit Windows 8.1 system.
Also had a successful compile in Ubuntu 15 as well.
Have not tested the Mac wallet as I have no access to a machine running it.

well I started with 1 free coin on yobit.   Left with 10 after dice  sent them to ponzi.

Its pretty unlikely 10 will stake anyway so what the hell,   nothing to lose :)
 Morally these guys are pretty honest that its a ponzi so anyone participating gets what is deserved.  No different then gambling IMO  anyone whom complains would be foolish.

Stop saying things without considering what you are saying. We got many supporters here that can prove that this is not a crap. The only that exactly like crap here is you. If you are staking with free coin it took MORE THAN 4 HOURS TO MATURE BACAUSE THE WALLET ONLY SHOWS COINS MATURED WHEN THEY GAIN 1 WEIGHT SO STOP BS AROUND WITHOUT USING YOUR BRAIN
I'm having 10 coins and it takes 7-8 hours to gain 1 weight and the wallet shows coins matured

All works fine. You can't see your network weight until a day if you have very less coins like 1 or 2. The more coins, the quicker you see network weight. How many coins it may be, you need to wait until 4 hours to mature.

No, We are not directly affiliated with the developer of DROP. We found the coins distribution interesting and wanted to provide services.
Currently we are working on getting a DROP blockchain explorer set up as well as a dice site for DROP. Both will be in DoubleDROP.xyz

Any coin that is to maintain value must have services, Our goal is to help out DROP by providing ways to use it.

I think this double the drop wont last long! they can still run away with your money anytime. Even if they don't, when the stake rate drops this will come to an end

Hello all, Hope all is well.

Site is continuing to stake and payout as intended!
There has been a number of posts asking about when they will get paid out.
At this point we have no way of estimating your payout time, We are working on this though.
You can look up your TXID in the search at the bottom of the page.

We are working on getting a blockchain explorer going for drop that will be built into the site.
Future plans for the site will have it act as a sort of hub for DROP.

No intention of scamming anyone or running away with the wallets funds.
In all honesty the site has bought a fair amount of DROP to help in the staking of users deposits.

The plan is to integrate a blockchain explorer and a chat client into the site first.
Afterwords we will be adding the 1% dice and looking into having the Stake pool set up.
Our policy on the site will always be transparency. Our fees will be clearly laid out for each section of the site.

DROP is a great coin with a potential, But without services it will drop to nothing in value.
We are developing a backbone for DROP to be used other than just to be dumped on the markets.
The developer and DoubleDROP.xyz have no prior affiliation nor back planning together.

A call to any developer wishing to set up other sites using the DROP client that needs a hand let us know.

Very interesting. Perhaps our site might use them if they do end up accepting DROP.

On a side note the site is down for brief maintenance. We should be back online shortly.

We are back up and running. Seems cloudflare was causing the error. Looking into the reasoning why now.

All works fine. You can't see your network weight until a day if you have very less coins like 1 or 2. The more coins, the quicker you see network weight. How many coins it may be, you need to wait until 4 hours to mature.

Thanks for the info!

If anyone is interested in a relatively large part of the FaucetCoin network, I have acquired 10% of the available supply of DROP (approx. 2200 coins), and would be willing to sell the entire amount to a bidder. 10,000% inflation isn't over yet, and we are going to move into 5,000% inflation soon. I don't think there are that many coins in the entire sell orderbook, and to purchase such of an amount would force the price up a few hundred, if not thousand percent.

Please message me with your offer if you are interested in this bulk amount of coins.

We've connected the DROP blockchain explorer to the site.
Given that another party got one up before us we will likely focus on other parts needed for the ecosystem.

Stay tuned!

This seems to be the result of a problem, present in the initial source code,
due to a zero missing.

That error has been corrected in the next version, so, IMHO you should try
to update the your wallet to the latest version.

The version number has not been updated, even on GitHub.

The latest version of the wallet, which you can find in the OP, it has two
additional tab, showing some statistics and a kind of block explorer,
very rudimentary.

So if your wallet, has these two tabs, then it is updated, otherwise it is obsolete.

Joke aside, maybe there is a first response from an exchange,
Cryptopia, and is unfortunately a reject:
Quote
Faucet(DROP)   100% Premine, POS intrest too high

Maybe you could try to ask again in a few days, when the Pos
rate will be decreased to 2%.

As far as I can see, the block explorer provides the right outcome for Inves address.

I think there's been a very common misconception, Inves have checked a single address
on block explorer, instead the wallet displays the total of all his addresses.

As a general method for testing if you are in the main chain, look at the number of
one of the last blocks shown on block explorer.
Then in your wallet, in the console, impart the command "getblockhash" and the block number, for example:

Maybe you could try to ask again in a few days, when the Pos
rate will be decreased to 2%.

Yeah i saw that if a exchange doesnt read what i tell them about GIVING THE COIN AWAY doesnt get that there needs to be a 100% premine then why talk at all??

Is there any jealousy of Yobit? ;)

Regarding the premine and the initial distribution, maybe there is
some mistrust due to some lack of transparency, such as costs
required for the distribution and then for earnings of Yobit, by
example from staking.

With this type of deployment, I personally find it normal that Yobit
had the wallet in staking, at least on a part of the 10,000 drop.

Perhaps it was just necessary from the technical point of view,
just to create blocks of the initial POS, and help to transport the
transactions of the faucet, when no one can stake.

So, if I can do an indiscreet question, then you can not respond
if it is too confidential, what you had agreed on compensation for Yobit?

The blockchain explorer has recently experienced some problems so the number may be not really correct or you have created yourself an own fork which is bad
it is worth creating a new wallet and to pump over blocks?
If you know the technique of splitting block, you should use it to maximize your earnings. I can see that your stake rewards are quite low. Try creating blocks of 20-30 DROP that would be better and more efficient

If you don't understand ask immediately!
In settings there is an option called advanced coin control features or something like that, put a tick on it. Then get to send tab. Press advanced feature or coin control or something. In there you will see many amounts of DROPs splitting a lot. put tick on some until the total amount is at least 20 then press ok. After that you will see there are numbers blah blah... type in sent amout the number you see in "amount after fee" or something like that and the address is your address (I mean the address you own or you will lose your precious coin)  then click send. Do this until you see in coin control features are all 20-30 DROp per block. This will maximize your earning ;D and after you stake a block, check the coin control as when you stake the 20-30 block will split half (one block of 30, for example, will become 2 block of 15 something) do it again.

Please... OsmiumCoin isn't a scam but the result of a kid talking to an adult and trying to get attention, in fact now he is making images for other coins..... Anyway for yobit the coin is still ok and is better so because if we tell something like this bit1+Barr_Ufficial will come here and cause a massive fud, there is still some possible hope for the coin...

And P.s. the drop maybe is caused from the owner of the scam faucet

i think its because 5000% staking will end soon
maybe they didnt know that it also have low supply
if dev rainmap is real this coin will become rare soon
atleast 1 place where we can use it will make the price of it go higher
im currently waiting for more DROP  ;D

i think its better for now if you focus in something like where we can use it
no trade movement in c-cex even other exchange add it
this coin will not attract other trader if no place where they can use it or guaranteed that someone will buy this coin
gaming platform or webshop will help in my opinion every coin what only need is demand and atleast 1 exchange
and also for multipool you can request in http://steakcloud.com/ (http://steakcloud.com/)
if steakcloud will add DROP i can donate 10 DROP for promotion something like
in the first 10 user who will mine there and use drop as payment will get one time +1 drop each
i suggest it in AMS before and also donate some and now AMS is listed in steakcloud
i think DROP can do it too maybe its better if you request it now before it drop 2% reward
so there will be another option to mine DROP

I agree with you. In my opinion, to have big volume we should push the progress of making a multipool so that we can sell other coins for DROP. We can get on big exchanges soon with a multipool

Im here, not going anywere. I try to post at least one tweet a day. But im not a full time dev (cant live from crypto alone) so i have to work as well.

First thing im trying to get going is a webshop, i wanted to start with the multipool but everyone i talked to says the mulitpool script needs a bigger exchange API to work.

Als im going to contact cryptocertify today to get the source and my self checked out and certified.

Min Stake Age: 4 hours
Max Stake Age: 4 Days

I have a small number of coins that I got from the faucet from the beginning but have not staked at all since turning the wallet on today, it says 5 days estimated to stake.....

Doesn't the above quote of the OP mean that I should have staked already if 4 days is the maximum to stake and I have 18 day old coins ?

you may need more coin - i was watching the wallet the other day, hoping to get one more stake b4 the 'drop', i noticed that it will not stake until your weight = at least 1, but if you have that much weight, the staking icon should be green, i think it will go, just give it some time

i think you dont get response from other exchange because drop right now dont have some volume
maybe after the shop or maybe after you make some place where we can use drop there will be some movement in volume
and about steakcloud i think it will take time i think right now there a lot in there queue
they will only add it when they see there a lot of active supporter in this coin

Yes! multipool is needed!

Yes it seems so but since steakcloud.com (http://steakcloud.com) came out and started making a name for itself it is getting a lot harder for them to accept new coins as payout options.

Show them otherwise and they might add it.

Hi all,

I cant seem to figure out how to swap the bitcoin payment processor for a Faucet(DROP) payment processor.

But as of Theusday im gettin some help to fix that bit of the website :D

For now i come up with this :D

Faucet Lottery

Held every Saturday

Ticket Price: 1 DROP

Rules.

User Picks 5 Number's Between 1 - 59

user is to add there User name to a form with said number's for how ever many ticket's

All tickets will be Viewable by the Public (No Hiding)

Once you have submitted your Numbers you cannot change them

If prize is not claimed within 1 month the Prize will be Forfited

If nobody Wins the Jackpot Funds will be added to the next draw :smile:

Prizes:

5 Numbers: 1000 DROP + 25% of DROP Revenue from bought tickets
4 Numbers: 370 DROP
3 Numbers: 130 DROP
2 Numbers: Free Ticket for the next draw

How can we ensure our Lottery number's are picked Fair?

Simple. We use the number's from the UK Lottery held every Saturday. That way it ensures we have absolutely no control over the Numbers picked or the End Outcome

Why?

Because it makes the Lottery Easier and Safer for all as the draws will be on live tv & Online with 0 connecton from us.

All tickets will be Viewable by the Public (No Hiding)

as the draws will be on live tv & Online with 0 connecton from us.

You can check the numbers of the lottery @ https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/results

"This will be a 4 week trial period to see how things turn out".

That's a good way of doing it that simply hadn't occurred to me. They say the simplest ideas are the hardest to think of, and I don't remember any other coin using that idea. It's the fairest way to do a lottery, and nobody can accuse anyone of scamming it.

Somehow i disagree because i almost do withdraws everyday on different coins and until now i never got a problem, anyway i suggest that somebody checks if drop withdraws are really possible because i think that could be caused by the fact that yobit wallet doesn't have any node

Were the block times always 5 minutes, or have they slowed down?

Were the block times always 5 minutes, or have they slowed down?

You are right, now is a little slow.
As far as I can see the average of the last 100 blocks is 231 seconds,
the moment when I'm writing.

In theory, internal specifications indicate a target time of 2 minutes,
and up to three days ago, the weekly average was around 132 seconds.

I have not dug very deeply, but the increase of the times is probably connected
with the fact that one of the users which usually is one of the largest staker of
this coin, has not generated blocks from about 2 days.
Normally, at other times it generated about 2000 blocks per week.

I think that it has transferred a large part of what he had in its wallet.
But this is just my conjecture.

PS:
Just to be clear, its address is still in the rich-list top-10.

Title: Re: Faucet coin [drop] Exchange give away

Link to the rich list?

Title: Re: Faucet coin [drop] Exchange give away
Post by: Remy_5 on December 07, 2015, 05:42:57 PM
Link to the rich list?

The link to the official block explorer is in the OP, the direct link to the
rich-list TOP-100 is:
http://64.57.133.230:3015/richlist

The blockexplorer and the rich-list are two useful tools, a good starting point,
but sometimes to understand certain events, it becomes necessary to extract
more information in other ways.

However, in the meantime, the address to which I referred to earlier has begun
again to produce blocks, more than 4 I believe.

The average interval for the past 100 blocks, now has decreased to about 205
seconds, but obviously it varies.

IDK because even today somebody did big trades (let's say about 22BTC which is insame) and i don't know if the target of all those fake volume is drop or even other coins because only drop has over 10BTC of volume but in the last 12 hours nothing big happened

Can you post his username here so we know never to trust him. I hope you gave him negative trust and wrote what he did and how much he scammed you for in the feedback. It always takes some time to get over being scammed.

I think the answer has already been given by MbccompanyX, a few days ago,
referring to the peaks of false volume.

And I, too, believe it is the most likely cause.

He wrote:

almost 12btc volume on Yobit. Nice.  :)

because somebody maybe faked it so could win the 0.1btc prize for who traded the most

Remy_5 the problem is that some people doesn't check the history to see if the same question was answered in the past, and this isn't the only case that exist in the whole forum and it goes even worse with not even checking the OP in some ANN, anyway seems that who was going to do all this mess changed targed because DROP seems stable at the moment

Yes, I know, but my message was not one complaint. ;)
Just give due credit to those who had already given the answer.

Also a bit of messages in more I think it is useful to this forum.

Probably the guy who wants to win the prize is touring between different currencies.

Otherwise it might become too predictable, and always use the same type of coins
to the end could become expensive for him.

Who knows, maybe in a little while he will return to visit us. ;)

Who knows, at the moment the only coins that reports a volume of over 10BTC are NVC and RNC (This last is getting a huge help thanks to the volumes) but still who knows not only if will come back but even if that contest of yobit will continue enough time that DROP could have another change of price caused from that volume

I think he refers to the fact there is a significant slowdown of the blockchain.
In some moments there are only 2 or 3 blocks in an hour.

Perhaps one of the causes of this slowdown could be due to the fact that a group
of addresses, normally very active in producing blocks, has not produced blocks in the
last 24 hours.

As far i can see, the total number of blocks of the last 24 hours should be around 158,
bringing the average interval time between the blocks at around 546 seconds.

Ill speed up the chain, 24-48hrs is needed for this

Must be admitted that this is a type of event that is uncommon to think,
and even more difficult to control at first sight.

For example, the block explorer does not show directly the date and time
of each block, and then this is information which must be sought with
perseverance, or alternative tools.
And also the 'classics'  wallet are stingy with these type of information.

Of these kind of slowdown, the user notices it only when making a transaction
and wait over an hour to get the transaction confirmed.

And the fact that the blockchain alone can not compensate, can also be a
sign that the network is working to lower limits of PosDiff, with all that implies.

Very well, thank you.

I am curious to see what will be the technical solutions used to do this.

Yeah, I think I'm about done with this coin. The dev seems to just be stringing us along, the block times are north of 10 minutes, and I have under 1% of the total coins, most of which are stuck staking right now, and yet what I have left is almost 10% of the network stake weight.

because after all coins POS are scams, or fall in price or 1 satosis takes to recover investment over 1 year are worse than ponzi and even in some cases disappear from exanges

   well, maybe some PoS currencies are priced very low now, but when global adoption comes to crypto i think that will change because it will be easy for ppl to 'grow their own'. also, because ongoing PoW uses way too much energy
what's wrong with investments that take longer than a year if you choose them carefully? BTC took 4 years to develop public trust

Yobit should change names to: yo-we-list-all-shitcoins-to-steal-your-bits.

That would be a much better definition xD

But I like how they let the people take the hand of the crypto world. It's really in the spirit of a decentralized money to let anyone register any kind of coin on an exchange platform. Most of them are shitty but who know? A diamond could shine here :)

DROP R.I.P  :(

Did you tried what groggin wrote in the last post? Anyway i'm not surprised that even the last node went offline, i saw other coins with one node that was clear that couldn’t survive for a long time and it had to happen soon enough

No nodes to sync for a very long period of time. Dev last online dec, 2015. If this will not be fixed - unfortunately we will have to remove DROP without any technical possibility to withdraw DROP balances.

Hi dev, block explorer at http://www.theblockexplorers.com/faucet.html is not working, perhaps would be a nice idea to have an backup block explorer, all serious coins have at least a pair of blockexplorer, down block explorer afraid to possible investors and to new users, if you are interested i can setup one  plus a node really cheap, i would like to see some more improvements with drop, really i like this coin

Hi dev, block explorer at http://www.theblockexplorers.com/faucet.html is not working

It's still down. For us blockchain looks broken and our wallet does not sync at all. We had this wallet disabled by this reason for long time.
Now we have to remove markets and put this wallet to broken blockchain status for 2 weeks. If it will not be fixed by dev - we will have to remove wallet without any possibility for our customers to make DROP withdrawals.

This coin is dead. Pity I never knew about it from the start that starting pos is so nice to make a good bag hold for future staking.
Would have been profitable I can imagine. I am not surprised the faucet is dead since the coins dead and heading just downhill from here on out :( .

The price and the volume is very interesting,but now that the coin blockchain is dead what would will happen to holders who amassed this coin,this is a bad time for the coin to die,traders are trading this coin as you can see in the volume,dev should do something about this .

Sometimes months from after you think the coin is dead is goes crazy on the exchange with movement but I dont think this is on EOF those coins. Better just leave it and stay well away from this mess.
