Digital Credits (DGCS) is a brand new digital cryptocurrency that will have a fair distribution. Credits can be earned three different ways! Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Stake (PoS), and Proof of Burn (PoB). Below is more information on how these three methods will work:

Proof of Work (PoW) : You will be able to mine new credits at a set rate until the end of time. No worries about block halving at all. With the blocks never halving the inflation rate would drop each day to just 1% a year in line with PoS. It would remove uncertainty caused by block halving and I think make this currency more stable.

– SHA-256 Algorithm
– Difficulty Retargeting every block
– 5 credit block reward FOREVER
– New block every 60 seconds
– 7,200 credits a day, or 2,628,000 credits a year FOREVER
– Halving = Never
– Total Supply = Unlimited

Proof of Stake (PoS) : This starts at block 60k. When you keep credits in your wallet you can stake them and earn 1% annually. Credits are first eligible to stake 1 day after they have been received into your wallet, and after 30 days, their chance of success is maximized. If you stake more often, your earnings will compound! Staking is energy-efficient, because it is based on the credits you hold, rather than on your processing power. Staking can be done directly from your wallet software and is automatic.

Proof of Burn (PoB) : There are many Altcoins out there right now and many of them have failed. The developer disappeared, trading has ground to a halt, and everyone has stopped mining it. You end up sitting on a large supply of these worthless coins with nobody willing to buy them. Each month we will find a new dead coin and attempt to buy up the entire supply of said coin. You will be paid in Digital Credits the fair value of the coin. You will have 30 days to do this. All the coins we buy up will then be burned, never to be spent again. We will continue this process until we run out of funds.

Coin Selection : Each month new dead altcoins will be selected. The coins will have to meet all of the following specifications in order to be eligible:

1. Missing Developer/No Development/Abandoned (Translation: A coin with no updates, no clear path, no one working on it, no Network Effect)
2. Little to no trade volume (under 0.2 BTC weekly Average)
3. Little to no Hashrate (PoW)/Little to no staking (PoS)
4. Our Exchange Partner is allready in the process of delisting the coin.

I just wanted to point out that when we launch you will have several methods to mine these credits. For those with ASIC you will be able to mine the credits directly through the SHA256 algorithm. If you prefer CPU or GPU mining you can just mine one of our burn coins and exchange them for Digital Credits. This option is indirect mining but will still give the same result with our 30 day burn cycle which is a guaranteed price. We will be launching within the next two weeks. Burns will start the first of December and last 30 days.

Nowadays new coins are usually intergrated with proof of burn. Really glad to see a old coin got so innovative that it's decided to use proof of burn

You're copying BARR, but BARR isn't just an experiment.  BARR will survive long-term, while you are already making excuses for why you're going to fail.

You don't want to "test" anything, because BARR is already doing it.  You paid someone to code your coin, just like hundreds of other clone coins.  When it ends up just like all the other clone coins, you'll say "Well it was just an experiment" and run off with the money.

This isn't an old coin, they announced it after BARR.  And if you visit their website, Step 1 for burning coins is to sign up at their exchange.  Step 2 is "coming soon".  They threw this together and still haven't worked out what they're going to do.

He has just announced that Digital Credits will burn whatever coins BARR decides to burn.  Essentially the BARR community now controls the coin selection process for Digital Credits.  For a coin to be burned by Digital Credits, you have to get some BARR and use it for voting.

But I wonder where he will get 180 BTC worth of Digital Credits to match what we're offering for the next burn period.

Due to block chain syncing problems with one of the coins we planned to target for our first burn we will only be burning 2 coins this coming month. There simply isn't enough time to select a new candidate with all the back-end work that needs to be done to support the burns. We may burn it in the future however. Block Explorers, and multiple nodes have been set up to ensure there are no issues during the burn process. We will also be hosting windows wallet downloads for both burn targets. The wallet will not stake until after block 60k when PoS is turned on. This will happen mid December. We are currently around about block 34.5k


The prices have taken a dump, this is normal of ALTcoins when BTC is climbing. They will go up again, I'm still holding all my coins as you can see on the richlist of the blockexplorer.

I have a 500MH/s USB miner that only gets like 1 DGCS every two days or something equally weak...figure I might as well try and get lucky hitting a block...?

I'm guessing you mean a manual burn like other coins use? No, it was always our plan to use a burn partner. I don't have time to manually check and send out every transaction. If these burns become popular it would require us to hire a staff of people to do all the transactions by hand. It's a waste of money and resources when the automatic method we chose works just fine and prevents any human error. 

If you have a USB miner it would be better to mine space coin on Tekyboy and then convert it for DGCS near the end of the month. Mining DGCS directly really requires specialized mining hardware if you want to make any return.

There is no way to predict what the price will do when each burn starts or ends. We set the price on day one of the burn. DGCS was about 6 times the price of SPACE at the time so we set up a 4 to 1 trade to allow wiggle room in the price. There will be times when DGCS spikes and times when Space will spike, but the exchange rate will stay the same throughout the burn. People just have to decide for themselves if it is worth it or not. Considering that the Spacecoins price spike is due to buy demand from this burn I don't see it holding on to that value after the burn ends, I could be wrong. Investors usually look for coins under active development to invest in. Space was dumped by it's Developer and abandoned. Unless someone comes a long to rescue space it doesn't look very good as a long term investment. We will see what happens after the burn. So to answer that question, there is no price warranty, as in all investing you are taking an educated risk.

As far as selection goes, it's a mix between requests and research. Space started out as a suggestion from one of it's bag holders, after doing research and contacting the old DEV it was determined the coin was abandon and ripe for burning. 

at this point may i suggest the following coins for the burn process of January 2016?

• two (tillkoeln coin, still alive and with support even from altcoinsteps.com )
• MM (the dev runned away but the price is quite good after all)

Sorry I just got out of Hospital and have been without internet. I assumed you had a script miner. If your miner is SHA-256 your best bet is to mine via a pool. Solo mining is not very effective. Either way your not going to get much with 500mh I'm afraid.

Seems that after leaving the Spacecoin trades calm for 2 days the price dropped a bit.... Somebody knows if we have an objective about tot burned spacecoins or just 10% after all?

Yea, the price spike was due to people rushing to buy in order to stake it. I imagine it will continue to drop a bit. This is the first burn we have done so we have no history to look back on at the moment. DGCS has dropped a bit as well, most likely do to the rise in Bitcoin, as it looks like all altcoins are loosing ground at the moment. I would advise everyone to hold on onto your space and stake it while the markets sort themselves out. It's only the 6th of the month after all, still over 3 weeks to run them in.   

Well think that i pushed a bit the trades on the days of 3 and 4 december, now i left it calm down because was getting a little problem and i wanted to increase the ammount of bitcoins i can use to decide to burn, anyway any ideas about how many people are staking spacecoins and how much they hold? with those blocks that appears every 1-2 minutes that have a reward of 32 or 16 seems that will be hard to burn so many spacecoins that the total coins will get any kind of effect.....

Well my staking weight is 50k, the total network weight looks to be about 2.8 million. Perhaps people are waiting for the space price to drop or the DGCS price to rise before they buy more. There are people mining the coin as well. There has been a little over 57,000 space burned so far, so a long way to go. I imagine the bulk of the dump will happen in the last 24 hours. No guarantees yet that this burn will be successful.

I want at least hope we burn the 25% of all the coins, because after all i think that would be impossible to burn all the spacecoins, anyway still 24/25 days before the end and for now i see that maybe tomorrow i will able to break 2 walls (maybe even 3) but now the wall that would maybe break all apart is the 47 sat sell wall...

I have been focusing most of my buys on DGCS with the PoS kicking in soon, I plan to buy up more space towards the end of the month. I'm pretty confident we will break 25% on Space, My goal is 50% however, we will see what happens.  ;D

I think that burn 2 million spacecoin counting the fact that on yobit there is still something like 362k seems something with a little risk, maybe we should check for addresses that didn't had any movement from at least 30 days, something says me that maybe 1 million is stuck.....

We are working on a new wallet that will be out sometime in the spring, but I don't think it will be a mandatory upgrade. And there will be plenty of advanced warning. We also have android and ios wallets in the pipelines. Just not ready to announce anything yet. If you have not allready, just sign up for a forum account on our site and you will get our weekly newsletters. We are also working on a few things that should increase buy demand for DGCS. That's the benefit to controlling your own block chain, unlike an asset, we call the shots, and we can improve, shift, and expand as needed.

There are nearly as many dgcs on burn exchange as cmc says as overall supply...

We are working closely with coinmarketcap to make sure the total supply reflects what is out in circulation. The funds on the burn exchange are part of the burn fund until they are distributed. So far very little of that has been released.

i see... so we can almost say that dgcs have more possibilities to have a real value of almost 10k $ instead of the 1k $ reported on coin market cap at the moment.... smart move really....

We don't want to mislead people into thinking our marketcap is higher than it really is, that would be fraud. DGCS is not a scam, we will continue to work with coinmarketcap to make sure the public has the correct information about our coin. There is no smoke and mirrors here.  ;D

Until anyone can prove I am running a scam your concerns are just speculation. It's been a month now, I have not dumped anything, the price is rising, and the burn is going smoothly. And a month will turn into two months, then three months, and Digital Credits will continue to thrive. Look I get it, 90% of new altcoins are scams, I understand your point of view. If you don't trust me, don't invest, just sit back and watch what happens.

That's odd, the nodes are hard coded into the client and running fine, I've got over 25 connections. Try restarting your computer or router.

How much SPACE do you have?

I was staking relatively small amounts - between ~15k & ~35k and would receive stake rewards every 8 hours or so.  Pretty sweet, should have bought more & kept it going, now that I look back....

...but such is life in crypto: regrets  :D

I have 62k left after burning some yesterday, I'm getting rewards every 30 minutes on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Maybe intristin sold the 40,000 SPACE that he moved from his wallet 3 days ago.  That could have contributed to the price drop.

Since he says he only has 62,000 left, and he says he burned 50,000 yesterday, and he says his address is SjeBw5zouvqwPx5To6GFBakkMpFj7jqNL7 which had 158,000 SPACE last week, then that other 40,000 must have been transferred to someone else.

But maybe he gave it to someone for free, directly to their Yobit address, and they're the ones who dumped it. 

It must be someone else's wallet, or Yobit's wallet, since the address that ended up with intristin's 40,000 SPACE (SgJHy4tjpv5Sq1qPadGLSwA355GifC6Sw4) now has a total of 78,989 SPACE.

So he wouldn't have said he has 62k if he really has 140k, or else he wouldn't be telling the truth.

And even though intristin has said one thing and done the opposite, several times in the brief history of Digital Credits, we can't assume he's lying about how much SPACE he's holding.

So maybe he's been selling while he's been telling you to buy.

Bitcoin's price rise is pushing down most Altcoins at the moment. We are working on a press release right now since PoS is about to kick in so that should bring in more users. We are also working on getting a casnio set up which should put some buy pressure on DGCS and push the price back up. No worries, Digital Credits is here to stay and we have a lot planned. The price should rebound within the next month. I myself have been buying up credits myself with the price so low and will continue to do this.

Digital Credits has been out for over 6 weeks now and our first burn is off and running. Also as of right now Proof of Stake has finally kicked in. In order to stake credits you must have your wallet open with credits that are at least 4 hours old to begin staking. Please keep in mind that staking happens automatically. Just leave your wallet open and minimize it and let the new credits roll in. The more credits you have and the older those credits are, the quicker it will stake. We are still working on a complete overhaul of the wallet software to make it look nicer and to fix some graphical bugs. The update will come in early spring and will most likely be optional. We will keep up up to date on the progress. More surprises coming soon.

A new wallet is being released for DGCS later today. Improvements include chat, built in block explorer, a new test-net, data export features, and graphical bug fixes. I will update this post when released. This is a big investment for us but it needed to be done. We are still working on getting some casino games up and running to put some buy pressure on the credits. We also plan to send out our long awaited press release to over 1,000 media outlets on Monday. If successful this should pull some new users into the Digital Credits community. I would like to take a moment to thank all of you that have been supporting us over these last 6 weeks. I hope that we have proven to you that we are legit and we will continue to work hard to protect and grow your investment. Scam coins come a long all the time and they are looking for that quick return, a few hundred dollars of instant profit. I want to make money as well, I'm not going to lie. But I feel I stand to make a lot more of it by sticking by Digital Credits and growing it into something big. There is no reason we can't all make money together. More is coming, we are not going anywhere. People will continue to FUD us, but WE WILL prove them all wrong.     

well until now the only one that was fudding was that nothing good of barr_official (that even with red trust still tries to fud like if he doesn't give a damm, he could even be banned but he will continue) and anyway good to know that a new wallet update is incoming, it will be mandatory or not?

Ok, it is recommended you update your wallet, but not required. Linux and Mac users will not be able to update their wallets until after the first as we only have the windows wallet compiled. We have to outsource the work and are short on funds at the moment.

Perfect. I will suggest Premine Plus and FindCoin as the possible candidates. Both are abandoned coins with very little activity, no trading at all. They used to be quite popular so the user base should be quite huge.

Sorry about the website link bug, our Dev says he's on it, A fix will be out sometime this week. New Mac and Linux wallets will be out after the new year. I'm just curious, what's the coin supply? Coinmarketcap says like a million, the block explorer (http://explorer.dcredits.com/) says

but it seems like from the first post here it should be like 2 million per year with 1% PoS, so there's no way it should be 200 million supply currently, right?

The correct value of total coins out in circulation is on Coinmarket cap. The total coins in existence shows on the block explorer. If you look at the rich list you will see that must of the supply is held up in our Burn Fund. When we release funds from that wallet for burns it will be updated on coinmarket cap within 30 days. The figure is adjusted at the end of each burn.
 

The site is under going updates but should be working fine now. Are you still having issues logging in?

399,000 have been mined, and 500 times that many were premined (200 Million).  

The premine address moved all 200 Million coins to another address, which is now called the "burn fund", named after the BARR burn fund but without actually being a burn fund.

There was supposed to be a limit of 2.6 Million DGCS per year distributed from the "burn fund", which means the 200 Million premine would last 76 years.  But over twice that many coins were sent from the "burn fund" before any coins were ever burned.

1 Million DGCS were given to the Yobit exchange and then distributed off-blockchain, supposedly all through a faucet, but with no proof of who received the coins.  

5 Million DGCS were given to the BTCPool exchange for the first month's burn, to be distributed off-blockchain in exchange for depositing Spacecoins, without requiring any coins to be burned.  BTCPool Exchange ended up sending back 4 Million to the "burn fund", leaving 198 Million in the dev's wallet.



The original coin specs stated 1 Billion coins premined, with 500 coins per PoW block, with 60-second block times, and a block halving every 45 months.

Then the specs were changed to a premine of 200 Million with block rewards of 50 coins, halving every 6 million blocks.

Then the specs were changed to 250 Million premine, with block rewards halving every 14 years.

Then it was changed to 5 Million premine, with block halvings every 19 years.

Then the block time was going to be 2 minutes, and 500 coins per block, halving every 4 years, and 1 Billion premine.

There were some other changes, but for now the premine is 200 Million and the current code has no block reward reduction, ever.  But it's still a new coin, so anything is possible with future updates.

I'm now getting the startpage. Clicking on login gets me to the screen in screenshot with same behavior than some hours ago.
Edit: when i now click a direct link, for example dgcs/space, it works...

In Yobit i am getting 5 coins per hour, well i think it is a interesting project perhaps no for be watched like investing but there are some community around it, lets see what happen

So DGCS has increased the supply of SPACE instead of decreasing it.

There are more Spacecoins in circulation than before the "burn" started.  DGCS has achieved nothing.

Yes, BARR has reduced the coins in circulation for 5 different coins already.

And yes, it is nice technology.  We have accomplished things because we put time, effort, money, and thought into our plans.

DGCS has failed to reduce any coins because there was no work or thought put into it.  It tried to be a copy of BARR, but it didn't copy the right things.  Its complete failure is the natural result of how DGCS was made.
