in somedays before,when i get up at morning i never forget to check bitcoin rate daily.because now i am started to loving bitcoin rate and its flexibility too.
so is really happend with you too?
tell me about your experience.

I usually go for a piss first and then I wash my face and start breakfast. ^joke^ On a more serious note, I used to do that too, but I moved on from that obsession. I only check the price, when I visit the news sites and they have a price ticker or I use Preev.com  ::)

Resist the urge, you will go crazy and start to wake up at night to check it too.  ;D

as a bitcoin,i think we all have experience like that,sleep late and wake up late too,and when woke up,get the smartphone or computer to see how about bitcoin rate..a mounth ago is the best experience maybe,we all stay wake up on bitcoin chart,we never forget how can bitcoin price just like wavy way,one day up,and one day later up again,but on a week,it going down again..its really suck,but we all happy i think ;D

It's honestly the first thing I check when I get up and even sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night.  ;D I have to stop making it my habit also but it is pretty hard not to when the price jumps up $100-200 in a day.

After few months on bitcointalk I'm used to check the rates of btc every now and then.Since I also invest and trade bitcoins for cash I have to do that.Surprisingly two time in a day the prices shuffle and usually in the night comes back to its original price what I have seen in the morning.

Not for now but on around nov 4-6 i used to check rate every morning when i get up to see if my order in bitfinex get cleared or not. I am just collecting coin now, not doing any day trade.

I have a ticker widget on my phone so i keep on watching bitcoin price every hour. ::)

At least 5x a day. Not only BTC price but also prices of other coins in my portfolio. If I had a nicked every time I did that, I d be a rich man by now.

Preev.com is the first few sites I will open whenever I log into my computer. Other than that, I also have Bitcoin Checker application on my Android Phone. With just a slide on my screen I can easily see the latest Bitcoin price at OKCoin rate. I am using my phone almost ever hour. Yes, this also mean I am following Bitcoin rate every hour. Sometime every few minutes (like when the 250 to 300 to 400 bubble recently).

Haha I had to delete my btc and ltc widget it was just to easy to keep refreshing every few minutes which would drive me insane.

Virtually I do calculate every one hour from my faucet claiming. Yes, freebitco.in is the faucet, it's reward satoshi keeps on chancing according to current bitcoin price. It means I do follow bitcoin price always.

Yeah....That hasn't really happened in the near past. But yeah, I am trying to get rid of this habit of looking at the Bitcoin price every morning when I wake up. I am a bit too addicted to Bitcoin. Like every morning I wake up, I reach over to my bedside table and grab my phone then I sit there, staring at the price of Bitcoin.

i check it too every day usually around when i eat, i the morning at lunch and dinner

if i see the price stuck at the same value at before, only at the morning and in the night

I work and stay to many time in front of a computer. At work and at home. About 7-8 hours. Some days even more. Whenever and everywhere I am I hold open a specific internet website named "preev.com". Do somebody know what it is? ;) Have no meaning do this because can become a mania but for the moment I have not create any mania but only "addiction". Give a look to this page time after time and sometimes feel happy and sometime feel sorry. But must of times the last times had no "feelings". Except the last two weeks.

Depends on the market.

If there's a nice, clear and steady (but not yet bubbly) trend going on (in either direction) while I'm in the right position, I will check price in the morning, perhaps perform a bit of voodoo magic TA in the afternoon, to see if my assumptions "clear, steady, not yet bubbly" are in fact correct, and then probably another time before going to sleep.

If on the other hand the market is doing its thing, say, like Nov 1 to 4, well... I have to force myself not to look at the numbers, and work on other things instead :/

Heck, you check it only once a day? I check it like 15 times a day! :D

I have a Bitcoin price widget on my Android home screen that updates every minute, that way at least I don't waste my time by entering the site to check the price!

I check price everyday. Usually once or twice per day. But when there are some movements of price, bubble is on or some sudden spikes I try to watch price constantly to react and sell/buy.

I am also checking the rate but in hope to stay low for while because I do not own bitcoin yet  :-*

This is kind of normal for many of us I believe.Usually in the morning the first thing I do beside preparing my coffee is checking the price on the biggest exchanges. This has become some kind of routine and addiction. :D

I'm just got a bitcoin price news on my Facebook news feed, I used bitcoin.co.Id to monitoring the price.

It's was in the high 2s and then went to 500 beginning of November. I'd say that's a significant jump. It might not have been one day still a big jump. Have you been asleep?

Although I am holding for Bitcoins for long term but I do same like you start my day with checking price of Bitcoin just for curiosity even it doesn't matter.It is kind addiction to see where the price are which I like to do every morning and ever night before sleep.

Same, every morning I hope the price jumps to $400-$500 or even more.. When the price was around $230 some thought the price would hit its lowest $100, what happened is the opposite.  :)

it also becomes my habit currently but i did it more often than you approximately 4 or 5 times in a day i check the bitcoin price

I check the price every hour last weeks. Especially after the bull run we have seen. It's normal since plenty of other people do the same.

Me to have the same hope for the moment. But for another reason. I have made (without knowing that which would happen then) an investment in bitcoin. The website promise a good profit in time and seemed a serious website. They accepted even bitcoin. But them "worked" (to earn the profit) with us dollar and give the profit in us dollar. So you send bitcoin. They automatically were converted in us dollar after the receiving of those at the website and you see only us dollar at your dashboard. Then they give the promised profit in us dollar and when you send it to your e-wallet (obligatory in the bitcoin gateway) these are converted again in the moment in bitcoin and arrive in the e-wallet in bitcoin. But if during the time when the invested bitcoin are in "work" the price of bitcoin increases all your profit is lost. You will have less bitcoin than in the case when the price was lower. So, if the price go higher and higher you (me) even can lose. So for a while I hope that the price remain at the same level. And bitcoin seems that are "hearing" me. Was stable for ten months. Now he find the time to be increased about 10% since my first investment day. If will continue in this way, bye, bye not only profits but even my beginning amount of bitcoin. Bad luck!

Last days, every morning the price is different from the last night, check BTC price is one of the first things I do in the morning.

Not an established habit, only for the times when prices change during night, like right now

I constantly check the price wherever I am. If I'm out, then my phone is my best friend. At home I have the bitcoinwisdom live charts open nearly 24 hours a day. Purely because the runup to the block halving is what will cause the comming months to be more than interesting. I don't want to miss any of that  ;)

I have bitcoin widget installed on my phone so o can always check the price anywhere and anytime :)
If i want to check the price of my local currency i got another widget for that also :P

I check the price probably up to 10 times a day.

first signs of getting serioulsy hooked on the bitcoinsuperdrug. watch out or you end up legendary status. there is no cure...

On my smartphone I have four widgets for four markets, keeping me updated all the time.
Luckily, on my computer I have nothing, only bitcoincharts or some similar website. :D It's better for it not to distract me from my work.

My understanding is that it is bad for your mental health to check the value of your investments too often.

This is because the happiness experienced by an increase in price is less than the unhappiness experienced by an equal decrease in price. The net effect over time is to make us more depressed then if we never checked (assuming an approximately stable price of course).

I try and limit myself to NEVER checking during the week. It is a little treat to myself at weekends that I can check it. Unfortunately it is often not possible to stick to this as I visit bitcoin sites daily to check the news and the gossip etc, and many of these sites mention the price, a lot even have the price prominently displayed on the header. I would far prefer it if non-exchange or price specific sites gave users an option to hide the price if it is prominently displayed.

I have spates of checking the price.  Sometimes I get disinterested and don't check for a while but since we seem to be on an Upwords tend I check more often.

I also started checking bitcoin price 3 days ago when I started to trading bitcoin.

Well how times is passing I see myself doing the same thing as u people. First thing when I get up is to come here to see what is happening, check prices, and make couple throws on some dice site. I also check prices of some other coins as well, i became so interested in this thing that people around me say to me I`m crazy.

Unless you are using a bot to trade for you there is no way for a trader to not check the price, I check it hourly almost, the price can spike in a matter of minutes and if you don't have orders active you have to check the price.

I also look at the price ticker plenty of times per day. I think it's normal since the price has been rising quite a bit lately. We all want to see our investments grow in value. That's why we keep looking at the price.

I check the price/value of bitcoin on a daily basis. More during the week and less on weekends. During work days I check it almost every 2 to 3 hours.
And on weekends maybe once or twice a day.

Well people that use bitcoin check the rate of bitcoin every day.
Checking the rate every day is really fun when it goes up.

i like checking the rate too lol, its pretty exciting in my opinion. every new day i have no clue what the price is going to be. im just starting to learn to trade too.

I obsessively check Bitcoin rate multiple times in an hour.

Now checking the Bitcoin rate every morning has become my first priority because when you see the Bitcoin rate shoots up it makes your day and makes you feel richer but when it drops down it gives you a feeling that again it will increase in few days.

Now you guys made me watch the price on my desktop too :D

I do the same, and I also hit one particular faucet as well.  It's an ingrained habit at this point; I was doing the same with precious metals for a while and I still do this with stocks if I wake up after 9:30am.  Lol, market junkie.

Every morning?  I check the chart every 10 minutes or so

i understand you, i use bitcoins for 3 months now and i really love it, i love it's price rises and falls, i love fact that price of bitcoin changes few times in day and so on

and yes  i also check price of bitcoin few times in day, not only morning, because who knows what could happen in evening for example

Yeah people who are holding and using bitcoins will always keep on checking the rates of bitcoins, and now it has become a daily schedule of majority of us as we are curious to know whether its going up or down.

I check the price daily by simple open the XAPO app. Good enough for me don't need all facts the whole day around me.
