No offence but you obviously haven't got a single clue what Bitcoin is all about.if i understand correct a computer can generate cash out of thin air? just by compiling code and doing calculations? and how can turn i turn bitcoins into euro's ? can some one tell me if these settings are correct? and what is this *Your bitcoin address for receiving rewards:* how do i know what my bitcoin adress is ??? Seriously, starting off like this, you will certainly waste more time and money than you will ever make (if any) with mining. Not to be rude, here we are always happy to answer all the questions, but since they are taking the trouble to try to help, I hope that at least you've visited any of these sites (all better), this is a forum not a classroom: http://www.weusecoins.com/ http://bitcoin.org/ https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin Edit:and this forum, here is all the information you need Title: Re: New to bit mining Post by: Intelxeon on November 25, 2012, 10:49:43 PM thx but can you explain me what khash/s exactly is ?
Title: Re: New to bit mining Post by: Kazimir on November 25, 2012, 10:53:31 PM i am here to learn Well, here's my take at it: for some reason people seem to think that this mining business is all that Bitcoin is about, or "the major thing" of Bitcoin. It's not. Bitcoin is a new currency or "digital money", a revolutionary piece of technology, an idea than can (and hopefully will) create a breakthrough in global finance and our monetary systems. And this mining stuff is essentially just an implementation detail. Not necessary to use Bitcoin at all. I simply buy my bitcoins at exchanges, rather than mining them (cause it's cheaper, easier, and faster). and my current system is made for Rendering not for mining! Yes, you could have earned a lot of cash if you started earlier, but nowadays (especially if you're in the euro zone) you will most likely lose money by mining, because the required resources (electricity and hardware) will cost more than the actual coins you'll mine. The idea of "generating money out of thin air, just by doing calculations" is really not the right way to think about this. For one, the more people that are mining, and the more hardware power they add to the network, the more calculations you'd have to do to earn one bitcoin. See, bitcoins are mined at a constant rate worldwide, no matter how many people are mining. So more people mining = less bitcoins mined per person. And there are TONS of people mining nowadays, with crazy ass hardware. On top of that, the mining reward (the number of bitcoins that are mined every 10 minutes) is about to be halved in a few days from now. But also without the mining aspect, Bitcoin is a very exciting upcoming technology, and there's more than enough to discover. Welcome to the world of Bitcoin :) Title: Re: New to bit mining Post by: Kazimir on November 25, 2012, 10:57:43 PM thx but can you explain me what khash/s exactly is ? The amount of hashes you can calculate per second. A technical detail related to the mining process.By the way, if your mining rate is expressed in k(ilo)hash/s rather than m(ega)hash/s, you will pretty sure mine exactly ZERO bitcoins over the next year. It's not about the processing power of your system, it's about the performance of your system compared to the rest of the world. And the rest of the world has some insane dedicated mining hardware running 24/7. Again, if you want bitcoins, you're most likely better off by just buying them at an exchange. Better off as in: cheaper, faster, easier. Title: Re: New to bit mining Post by: tbcoin on November 25, 2012, 11:12:52 PM If you wanna mining, see this:

This site makes payments to Dwolla from Bitcoins that you have mined, which in turn you can transfer out to your bank account. Very simple site to use.
