we are clearly going up more than 500 dollars per bitcoin will be guaranteed before the end of this year i hope this trend will keep on in 2016 too this would be really cool to reach new heights in the bitcoin world

This year we have 15 days that is over. So I think it will just hit 500 dollars.
But I am not sure today bitcoins price was going down. I believe it will hit 500 dollars.

Sadly i can said we will not touch $500 until end of year maybe after new year in the middle of january, price will rise slowly but sure.

I am thinking we're going somewhere around $580 per coin.

Well you can't say that maybe this weekend bitcoin will reach 500 dollars.
We never know when it will go down or up with bitcoin so we only need to wait what it will happen.

may I ask you to back your words with any kind of arguments, be it technical (charts) or fundamental. Otherwise it is a pure wild-speculative guess, or just dreams, not worth much. More than $500 by the end of the year? Not on a stable basis. If at all, the charts may be painted, to push the price there, but failing there would put a negative double top formation.

idk its pretty close as it seems. its currently hovering around 460 so going up 40 bucks in value in a matter of 14 days isnt really hard. but hey if everyone could predict the price then everyone could make money, thats just not possible.

Ha thats a quit good prediciopnt iam also thinkng the bitcoin can hit over 800 for the next 2-3 months. that would be great also

Considering that Bitcoin is now fairly stable at $450, I'd say that it is fairly certain that we'd see $500 in the future, especially after the halving of the blocks.

If we're lucky I wouldn't be surprised to see over $600, which may signify a fair amount of the Bitcoin user base coming back.

It might hit close to $500 but not $500 this month. December is almost over with just a few days left and if average daily increase is just $2 it will be short to $496 - $498

We might reach $500 by christmas with the current stable price of btc as of bow. I'm not sure tho if it will still be stable after the holiday season but surely next year the halving effect will start and might also pump the price.

Definitely a possibility and $600 is not out of the question. Of course it will come back down in January if that was the case but if we could build support @500 by then that would great.

The price is very unpredictable. My guess is also about $500 by year end.

With the announcement of interest hike, no one knows what will happen to bitcoin price.

I don't think it will pass 500 by december. It may just touch 500 by end and we may see some more rise till block halving.

TBH right now I'm happy for the price to settle/stabilise at the $450 region. Once it gets up to $500 again somebody might dump a shit ton and drive down the BTC price to where it started at. Not good IMO.

Yes in the last week of december we can see big difference in price It may go to 550$ to 600$ and speculation day is on Dec 24 and Dec 25. I think We can sell the bitcoin in that to get profit:)

I think that by the start of  next year, the price of Bitcoin will be over $500. People are going to start buying because halving is coming soon, thus, the demand will increase taking the Price of Bitcoin with it.

Fairly stable at $450? After what, two days there? Let's think a bit more long-term. We just arrived at $450 and need to prove it as a support level. The next days will prove whether the rise had enough power to bring us again in the $500 area, or we just paint the double top and move back to the sub-$400 prices.

This month (and year) is near to end, that is why I don't think the bitcoin achieve the $500 level in a couple of weeks. Perhaps this years ends into the range $440-460.

I think it is stable around 450 as we are not seeing any rise since 3 days ,nothing is in the news and the price is already at a 100 $ pump.
It is also profitable at this rate after halving but let's hope it gets to much better price before that.

Yes, I am hoping to end the year on a good $500. This would be nice to see and it's a realistic number to look forward to.

The price of bitcoin can go up to $500 for this year of course.

There are many pumps and dumps but bitcoin price i think will be $400+

And before and after the halving the chances are high that the price will be up to $600+

Yes today bitcoin was going up so I think it will reach it. I don't know if will stay to 500 dollars.
I just think that it will go up and drop again. So I think I will just watch bitcoin go higher.

Reaching $500 is not the problem. The biggest challenge is that we are not able to hold it at $500 if we reach it. Support is simply not strong enough.

very possible that we will soon reach $500 on Christmas day or the end of 2015, we still have 7 days and is still rising slowly :)

I think there is definatly the ability to hold at the 500$ because the prices in every roows also get higher. like electricity and and and and this needs also to get paid ;)
Maybe you should introduce sombody to gain the btc value=

If the direction of the market, I think the trend is rising. But it returned to the market participants, it seemed like they were waiting for the moment to carry out the price movement or just the opposite.

And whether the price movement bitcoin as in 2013 end and 2014 beginning will happen again now? Let see  ;)

I feel like it will go way over 500$ again, soon.

Of Course this will happen again :) Also because Putin just said the Bitcoin is forbidden is his country its good for the american economics i think ;)

I think bitcoin will just go up and up this past of days.
Maybe is not going that up for now, but I think we will reach 500 dollars.

Thats quit a good thinking :) It can hit the 500$ until new Year and Come in next year within over 800$ until februar or over 1k.

There is a chance that we indeed could see the 500 a second time this year.
But I'm not sure if we could really break through it.I believe more in a short visit and then going down again to the actual price or maybe a bit higher or lower, depending on the selling pressure.

We can see that bitcoin is growing little by little, but bitcoin still didn't break kthe 470 dollar this month.
I think we will see at the end of the year a 490 dollars I am not that sure if we can hold to 500 dollars.

$500 before the year would be pure chart painting, as there is nothing to support fundamentally this price. Nothing has changed in terms of adoption in the last six months when we were sitting at low $200, we also didn't have any news events to fuel such growth. In other words, it is purely speculative growth what we observe, and it may go till for $500 as well as drop below $400, and any of the two shouldn't be seen as a surprise.

Oh man we see a lot in speculation that people is saying that it goes to 500 dollars. For me I think so, but I am not sure if we will break the 470 dollars this week. If not we have next week I hope before goes up so that I can buy presents.

Yeah bitcoin is going good in price cycle nowadays. Due to christmas and new year festival time price is increasing day by day Its good symbol for price evaluation of bitcoin. End of the december we can see the price as 500$ and plus.

It was the same when Bitcoin black friday was comming closer and closer. People were thinking the price would go up and fall after it. For some reason people think holidays will make the price go up while nothing has changed as far as demand and news goes.

I think it will reach more than $ 500 since bitcoin value's trend is increasing and also christmast eve so many people spend more on bitcoin

who said that? bitcoin is simply unpredictable. the bitcoin price can go anywhere right now. it's china that the traders are waiting for, if they want we can even reach $600 this year. it's unlikely, but still possible.

At the moment, there are no reasons for further growth other than speculation. That means the price may go up, as well as it may go down to test the area between $350 and $400. That is at least for now a solid support and mid-term base we have. In the short-term (hours) we are around $450 level, but that is not a stable zone, nor I would call it a support.

I don't think it will rise to $500 at least for now. I'm surprised it hit $400 actually and I'm not sure if it will find support there. I do still stand with the idea that Bitcoin will be around $500-600 by the end of the year since it closed 2015 at $400 and it always rises yearly (with a few bumps along the way of course).

It will go up to $500 by June. The price will definitely hit that amount - there's enough of a buffer time between the current slight drop and a potential climb. Perhaps there will be a few bubbles between now and then, but I would say that the price should stabilize between 500-600 by the start of Summer.

All we can do is waiting for China to start pumping the price. If China wants, we will touch $500 well before the block halving. If they aren't doing anything, then we'll stay below $450 for a very long time.

you say touch $500 if China pumps as if it is a very distant price to reach! $500 is gonna be here in no time without the need for any pump.

if China decides to pump bitcoin then you should expect at least twice the current value and argue about whether or not $1000 is possible

The main dumps are from China as they are the biggest miners. They have the bill to pay for their mining.

Agreed for a long time the price is stable within $410 to $420 and most speculations were to reach $500 by the falling month but in reality I believe we would reach $450 by the falling month.

On my ticker I see it rise at a high of $426 but then today it is down to $421 I think the market is moving to much for my sites ticker to keep up with a real price on it.

Bitcoin will really go high to $500. There are possibilities to get growing till $500 before the days of halving.

I think there's some crazy-ass aggregator (possibly preev.com) that includes LocalBitcoins, and consequently skews the reported price. I follow the prices of individual exchanges - it's far safer than relying on this forum, and the difference in prices between exchanges is useful information in its own right.

We just need to have patience indeed, but in fact I think the 500 dollar can be reached in this month if everything goes well with the bitcoin and it stays growing.

The current cost to create a bitcoin is more than $300, so it's a make or break. When the halving comes knocking, this will be doubled. So there. I forsee a price spike, thena market correction after the halving.

The price of bitcoin is stubonly below $470. Whenever it want to push above $460, there is big sell off.

Bitcoin will be a higher value soon and that is because there are now more people also going to hold their coin so that is nice but they have to wait a long time until it will be a higher value.

Yeah but if you need to buy a house then you need to hold your coins for a very long time, as you can buy a house only if the price of bitcoin reaches to the moon.

you'll need to hold at least 100 coins to sell them at a price of $5000-$10,000 in order to buy yourself a house and have some money aside. people that were early had the great chance to buy their coins well below $50 back in the days. those that have bought their coins at such price levels are very happy if they kept holding till now. and those that didn't buy will only be dreaming and wondering what would happen if they had bought at such incredibly low prices.

Right now i still i't still a accumulating phase. Although the price seems a little bit high.
But looking towards the future 3-4 years the price will and should be higher then 500 which is why I am still accumulating as much bitcons as i can.

In the beginning of month it was expected that we will see this price by the end of the month, but the price has stuck at same place since long time, so that price is not possible to achieve in this month.

Yes bitcoin is trading in range 440-460 since last few weeks but it doesn't means it can't hit $500, this target can achieved in just 1-2 days if a small pump occurs,I think $500 will hit before may end.

we are coming back to $450 again slowly and as i expected eth seems like being dumped and slowly going down so that market cap is coming back to bitcoin again. it was just a temporary thing that happened and soon we will be back on track.

I am happy the price is finally somewhere close to stable. It means bitcoin is maturing now. which makes room for new investors to step in, since they do know the potential of bitcoin.

But if it does I believe it can go back up even faster, because those people who were selling in that drop can't sell next time it rises.

i think you are right, it wouldnt be good if a person sold all his bitcoins at the moment as there is a huge potential for it to grow thus allowing everyone to make some decent money

It is better to keep most of your bitcoin for the long term. You might trade some to make short term profit.

I see the price go down at the moment. It's more likely then a pump. But it's possible the whales got other plans.

Don't expect higher price from halving now as price will not go high significantly as price has stuck at a single point since long time, either wait or sell your coins at current price.

Yeah the price has set by trader so we can expect to see the highest price even halving comes shortly, less than week we have a hope to see what we got soon dump or pump.
