Title: Public bet between Me and Bitspender. 10 btc each. Floz Price Prediction
Post by: niktitan132 on December 20, 2015, 06:37:35 PM
This is a prediction bet on the price of FLOZ crypto currency next Sunday December 27th.

Exchange we will use for the bet is C-cex

https://c-cex.com/?p=floz-btc

I bet that the price will be above 2K satoshi on said date.

Bitspender does not believe this will happen.

If the price reaches 0.00002000 satoshi or above on that day then I win the bet.

If the price is lower then 0.00001999 satoshi at any point on that day I lose the bet.

I am looking for a trusted escrow to escrow this bet.

Thank you.

Escrow terms:

Both users need to sign a message with the address holding the funds.
No signed message = no deal.

Uh, an escrow here would mean, both of you send 10 BTC each to the escrow, then when one of you wins the escrow sends the prize. I for one don't believe any of you have built up enough reputation not to scam 10 BTC when the time comes

That is a joke. I don't need to sign any message. Put up or shut up.

Find an escrow. let him post the escrow address and we send our btc.

I'll even send 1st but you must pay the escrow fee in advance.

If you fulfill you side and send in your 10 btc I will reimburse you the escrow fee.

If you don't send your btc then the escrow keeps your fee for wasting his time and sends me back my 10 btc.\

Put up or shut up.

Signed message or no deal.
You give a signed message to the person holding the escrow.
Simple condition.

Still same thing,
I for one don't believe anythe other guy seems to agree, of you have built up enough reputation not to scam 10 BTC when the time comes
If you want to do it like that , why involve an escrow at all?

Is it just me or does bitspender not want to go through with the bet.

I am ready to send my 10 btc to a trusted escrow.

Let's do this.

I am interested in acting as the escrow for this.
No offense bud, but if they will actually send the BTC to escrow then I believe it would require someone more trusted.
Edit: By which I mean, not someone with the highest trust rating(although that would be suitable as well) but someone who has been known for escrowing such significant amount of BTCs

The statements on which to decide whether the bet is a win or lose are a bit of a problem.

Quote

If the price is lower then 0.00001999 satoshi at any point on that day I lose the bet.

Do you really mean "at any point on the day" in the second statement?

You set your terms, i set mine.
Signed message to proof you actually are in control of the funds, and not playing with some hacked account/sweeped keys.

I dont see the problem with you signing a message if you are willing to send, and even spend them.

why require signed msg. when he is willing to send the funds to escrow... Seems like you are avoiding the bet TBH
Obviously if he is going to send the funds to escrow he must be in control of the add (which is all that signed msg. proves), your statement that he could be using hacked funds doesnt get solved by signed msg. But thats none of my business

I am sure whichever escrow you pick you need to bring clarity on what the bet actually is about.

What is the big deal about signing the message? It ought not be a problem. Signing a message take a few seconds.

My problem is I have xx btc on okcoin and I don't want to move from there to a wallet which I don't have on me now. I want to send from my okc account. Is that ok with you?

I have the btc. I am willing to make the bet. Will you put up already or just back down. You started this and you said " I could barely afford 0.1btc"

Looks like you cant afford 0.1 btc.

Are you guys serious about that bet? Why don't you get someone of the admins to act as an escrow anyways? Surely anyone here would make a run with 20 btcs in the bag.

Admins don't bother with these stuff, and there are trusted(enough) people who won't "make a run with 20 btcs in the bag"

Well that's my problem. No signed message = no deal. That is the only condition i set for this bet.
IF you send your 10btc to the escrow, you might as well send them to a local wallet first, then send it.

I dont care how you do it, but you provide a signed message with our bet terms to the escrow.

Because the bet ended like this:

Bitspender: @iLiKe2TrAdeAlts, I'll bet you 50btc you dont even can sign me a message with a wallet holdng 10btc within the next 3 minutes.

And it turns out i'm right.

So why post a bet about betting on price of some altcoin ? If that was the bet than of course you should require it but otherwise its pointless.

You opened your mouth. I have the btc and am ready to make the bet. Please stop now because you are just killing yourself here. Imagine an escrow came here, and took time out of his day, for you to back out like this.

I don't see anything beside sending money to escrow is needed for this bet. Find escrow, send money, verify bet and the winner takes it all. What is the problem here?

And I think it is not too late to back out of this bet if you both have second thoughts.

Bitspender doesn't like spending his bits it seems. You could both send 10btc to each of your chosen escrows. Sebastian and Blazed would be my first choices.
No signed message needs to be given when you're willing to send first to escrow. He just doesn't want to bet with you and it was a spare of the moment thinking you would not call him up on it lol

Read the thread and wasn't sure if anybody actually offered to escrow. I will offer my services. I will charge .25BTC from each person, so that the winner receives 19.5BTC

I believe im the most qualified person, with my newly registered account and 2 posts? You can check my BTC account 154Gp16bxQsGg1AJovZRA4bSjPzfKTh48N and see that it has been around much longer...

If you both agree to these terms, then send to the above address, and we can get this started!

As much as you might think im trolling, I will do this if both parties agree, which is highly unlikely.

Although it is weird you don't want to disclose a private message to the escrow only (which would make this bet going on), i agree this bitspender guy is scammer too.

He probably knew you wouldn't do that so he made this condition, to back off this bet. Pathethic and to be expected from such a person.

If you both agree to these terms, then send to the above address, and we can get this started!

As much as you might think im trolling, I will do this if both parties agree, which is highly unlikely.

Sure, we'll just send some random newbie on the forum our btc.
Such a weak try.

Could you not see the sarcasm dripping from my lips as I typed this on the keyboard? Or did you think I was just being friendly and trying to help your dispute? Maybe both?

Um... you're just a newbie with 3 activity! ::)
You'd need some serious reputation and trust to be an escrow that can hold that substantial amount of volume.

Thank you.

LOL

Are you all missing the fact that it would cost less than 10BTC to buy that market to over 2k sat?

niktitan132 bets 10BTC it'll go over 2k - buys 8.3BTC of FLOZ to put over 2k sat on the chart - collects 10BTC bet   ...   WIN WIN WIN

I offer my escrow for free i just want these two brave souls to go on with their bets to be official. :) It would really be fun if this can push through,  someone  more reputable can escrow this public bet can probably help this come true.

I can assure you that was not the intention. This all started in the ccex trollbox and got carried over here. I dont care if people buy floz or not, my goal is to prove that nothing bitspender says can be taken seriously because he's just a little kid in his moms basement.

I dont think that will be the case, but it still may get a nice pump. You should keep an eye on it.
