Title: SICK OF SCAMMERS and Clicking on faucets!
Post by: bazzaa1977 on January 19, 2016, 02:28:25 PM
Hi,

I'm a newbie on here and I've been involved in bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies for over a year now. I'm absolutely sick to death of click, click clicking on free bitcoin and altcoin sites and I'm completely deflated from cloud mining and other scam sites that I've become victim of through my own uneducated eargerness to make money in crypto currencies. Lately I have been searching the internet for different safer ways to make money and there are various ways that are jumping out at me. I found bitcointalk a while back but only used it as a guest to get info on various sites I was looking into but most of them are just scams and I don't get proper information from most of the various posts.

I would really appreciate all ideas from anyone here on the best ways to go about investing and earning. I'm seeing a lot about signature campaigns but as I'm a newbie here it's not that profitable at the moment. I have a bit of time to spend online, mainly the hours I'm not at work so I can give time to any projects available.

Thanks for reading.

The easiest and really only way to earn bitcoin is to actually work for it. Bitcoin is not magic and is not a get Rich quick scheme. You need to work for it. You can sell goods and services. The easiest way in this forum is by posting through stuff campaigns. You can also sell stuff or do work.

Mate, If you want to earn then work for it. Don't depend on those investing schemes. You know well yourself that they are thieves and that they will only end up running away with your coins. Don't blame it to them. Blame it to yourself because you keep on risking your coins in them.

I see that you have an interest in signature campaign. Do not take signature campaign as a job or something that you can earn big with. It's only a side line. A past time when you have extra time to give. You will be paid for learning and contributing and not by just posting shits everywhere. Take note of that.

Now if you have any skills, like programming, writing, designing or etc. You can go sell it and get paid with btc. You can check the service section and there are several threads here in the beginners and help section with a list of sites that offers to pay btc for the job you will complete.

Also, lastly. Stop fauceting bro. They are not worth the time IMHO. You spent time on it, you waste your internet and electricity on it but you can never earn decent enough to cover up for all these expenses by just fauceting. Quit it and go try other things.

There are tons of opportunity out here. Do not limit yourself to just what you can see people are talkig about. Go search for yourself and you might find something useful.

the best way to earn bitcoin is to offer your sevices and get paid with bitcoin.
if you can design graphic or videos or you can do some programming stuff, you can get good revenue through them.
and if you do not have these skills, then invest some time learning any skill better than wasting your time in faucets

Simply put, work for it. Imagine you're working for regular cash. However, the small bits that you earned from all those clicks from the faucets, don't forget about it; HODL.
Judging by your assumption that you feel that bitcoin is something similar to a get rich quick scheme, it's not, It's a normal currency with the added bonus of it being it's unique nature compared to others, you probably have very little experience if not no experience at all, with trading. Read around in the altcoin section, trading discussion and currency exchange sections of the forum, and most importantly, research. Try to gain as much knowledge about trading as you can, it'll be the most exciting satisfying profit you'll ever make - that's how I feel at least - give it a shot, you can turn small amounts of your coin into much, much larger amounts if you know what you're doing.

Good luck!

The fastest way I get bitcoins is just by buying them at localbitcoins. They have escrow service and that site already runs few years. If you really want join the signature campaign go invest some money by buy 1 account and join

Since you have time and money to invest plus it looks like you already know how bitcoin works, maybe try to buy a high rank forum account and join signature campaign so you can start earning additional bitcoins just for discussing things here in the forum

I really don't see the point of your question, other then faucets and free mining sites the only other way's to get bitcoin is to purchase it or earn it.

There is no legit way to get lots of bitcoin for free, if not mined then it has to come from someones pocket and with the way the economy is I don't think anyone wants to give it away for free.

How about coming up with a creative service idea, because I'm sure if it was really that easy to make bitcoins then nobody would share it here.

People here usually earn bitcoin by joining signature campaign. because you get paid by posting here in bitcointalk.org. if you still new you can go to service section to find that.

Yes, of course I know bitcoin is not magic, if I believed that I would have become a magician and would just say hey presto and make it magically appeaer in front of me and I would have no reason to be on here. I also know it is not a get rich quick scheme. I have posted here to find out which are the best ways to invest and/or work for money.

Seriously does anybody really read other peoples posts completely.

I work my ass off 9 hrs a day and I'm qetting kind of sick of it and would just like to find an alternative to the daily rat race 40 hour work for somebody else to make profit shit jobs that just don't make sense to me and have a limited income.

I don't mind working, never did, I've worked since I was 13 years old. Just looking to simplify my life and I believe bitcoin is the answer.

Working for bitcoin is not easier than working for fiat, if anything it is harder. It is simply another currency, there is nothing about working for another currency that makes any job easier.

I've worked as a chef for 20 years and currently on a production line in a factory for landrover. Believe me, I think working online being able to sit in your own home and work in your own time sounds like the perfect life for me. I'm not looking for a lazy mans way to make quick millions here, I want to enjoy my life more that's all.

Clicking on faucets is like beating your head to wall. Its very hard to even earn 1$ by clicking faucets. I got bored from faucets and got to know that there is no income from this. but if you can make faucet and put some ads and promote well then you can make money by making such sites also.

Ah yes,

I am currently looking into this but have very little knowledge of computer jargon, terms and scrypt so it will be a while before I actually get something done about it. I've thought about also making a website with faucet lists from various altcoin faucets so I am actually investigating a lot.

Thanks for that.

for some startup buy a good level of account and start posting and discussing with people in this way you get to interact as well as earn at same time.
Don't buy too high level account as it will cost you more and don't post shitty things.

It happens until you dont come to know about this forum and some good friends who give you knowledge about the market , i have also suffered a lot in the beginning,

In this Forum you will get all knowledge about the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and alt coins. but here also be care full first go through the site fully and then try to trust anyone here also,

In this Forum you can earn nice bitcoins by posting in threads when you are accepted in signature campaign, here you will be offered the payment per post slap but for that your position rank should be atleast JR.Member rank, so first go through the forum and post some good replies and create a good repo and raise your rank then join any good signature campaign and start earning.

One more thing you can do is buy any high rank account but be carefull in that also as their are so many formalities for that also if not you will be get scammed in this process also.

so first go through the forum fully and then take decision.

Why would you click on them then?
Best way to earn some bits is doing services for them in bitcointalk services section.
Also another good way is joining some signature campaign, but it's only worth it if you're atleast full member or higher than that.

Buying a highly ranked account sounds so scammy idk why people are suggesting it...

I lost 1.12 my first few weeks into bitcoin just recently. Should've used my coin in the marketplace as intended but Ore-Mine and such drew me...

Got about 0.3 in some seemingly-honest hyip games now cuz I'm already numb. :P

And yes, just recently quit faucets! Shiny new Jr. Member status so it's sig campaign time! :P

Nah man, you should use escrow to buying that account. and don't forget the sign message, because it's reall important for buying an account. losing 1.12 is big though.

I found faucets great at the start as a good way of learning the ways and workings of cryptocurrencies but now it is a real pain. There are good faucets out there but way too many starting up and not working well. It's just all that clicking and bookmarking and deleting again. Does my brain in.

Jesus!!! I lost (I would estimate) about 2 btc throughout the last year on cloudmining sites, it's really soul destroying but a very important lesson learned. I hate to see or hear of anyone being scammed especially when you trust a site that pretends to be a business that can make you money. It also gives cryptocurrencies a bad image for most people, I mean most of my friends won't go near bitcoin as they all believe it's a big scam. I have made some money from referrals and some of the cloud mining sites but nothing to high five anyone about. I know it can be done so I'm gonna stick around for a bit longer.

Cheers for the input.

PGP is another thing.
sign message is used to verify that you sent the bitcoins(verify your address that you are owner of the address) to vendor in case of dispute.
The signature generated is unique to the address and to the message. He can then verify the message and see if the text is correct then it is claimed that you are owner of that address.

That's sad to hear and that really sucks but I guess it was part of your(or anyone's) journey as a newbie looking for various ways to earn bitcoins online. I also became a newbie that will do almost anything just to earn bitcoins (except buying) and I've experienced what you've experienced. I've  tried faucets, PTC sites, revshares, HYIPs/ponzis(incl. cloud mining sites), raping sign up bonuses, doing tons of referral programs and joining giveaways but I just end up losing my coins bcoz all of my earned bitcoins just went to ponzis and as a naive bitcoiner that has no idea how ponzi works, I'm just being scammmed.

But I still don't lose hope with bitcoins and fortunately found bitcointalk.org. I've got tons of advice, plenty of earning opportunities and myriad of ideas and knowledges. Definitely the best place to learn and to earn as well ;) Just explore this forum, particularly the marketplace section. Good luck!

I don't think it sounds scammy if your only purpose of buying is to join that account for signature campaign, which is the reason why people suggest it. Though some people take advantage of its high rank and use to deceive and scam people. Its still a good idea if OP can manage to discuss and post constructively

It's all fine and well trying to get free bitcoin but the amount of time spent of faucets doesn't really pay. You would be better of earning real money and turning that into bitcoin. Remember everyone wants to make money from bitcoin and if they can make money of you they will.

Title: Re: SICK OF SCAMMERS and Clicking on faucets!
Post by: Snorek on January 20, 2016, 10:19:48 AM
Op, the only way to profit from faucets is to establish referrals network or be able to suck multiple faucet at one time. Other than than if you are just sucking one faucet at a time you are doing it wrong.
In general faucets are huge waste of time so you will be better without them. Also you need to understand that bitcoin is money like every other currency, no one is gonna give you great opportunity to earn it for free.
If some service is too good to be true - then it is probably scam.  Be advised.

all i can add is you should not thinking about bitcoin as your main job. what you do here or plan on doing should be your second job at best. because it is risky whether you want to do and online job and get paid in bitcoin or you want to invest for instance in trading cryptocurrencies. the market and the price alone creates an unsafe environment that you should only invest some extra money that you can afford to lose.

Unfortunately I don't have any IT skills other than turning on a computer and checking the internet, paying bills online and using social media.

i don't get why you are considering it then! you have to either know or have some sort of interest in these sorts of thing then consider it as a job.

all i have ever learned from computer (from simple stuff to programming, graphic design or even complex mechanical simulations) i have learned on my own and through internet, and i live in a third world country with English as my second language.

Be advised.

Yes, I have learned a valuable lesson already. Now looking just to work for bitcoin. I do spend a percentage of my fiat earnings on bitcoin every week. Just looking for other option and ways to make it grow and also earn at the same time by working.

Thanks for advice.

Good luck!

Yes, loosing your coins on ponzi scams and scam cloudmining sites especially when it looks like your doing well and your getting some payments is very disheartening. At times I've said to myself that I was going to throw the towel in with bitcoin but I'm determined to keep going. In life, everything is a learning process and learning from mistakes, although costly, makes us wiser and less vulnerable to repeat scams.

Looks like I'm in a good place with this site anyway.

all i can add is you should not thinking about bitcoin as your main job. what you do here or plan on doing should be your second job at best. because it is risky whether you want to do and online job and get paid in bitcoin or you want to invest for instance in trading cryptocurrencies. the market and the price alone creates an unsafe environment that you should only invest some extra money that you can afford to lose.

Unfortunately I don't have any IT skills other than turning on a computer and checking the internet, paying bills online and using social media.

i don't get why you are considering it then! you have to either know or have some sort of interest in these sorts of thing then consider it as a job.

In Ireland our computer classes consisted of those old big ass computers with MSDOSS and floppy discs and that was only for an hour a week. I'll keep on checking the internet for other stuff. Just wanted to see here if anybody had some ideas or would like to share knowledge.

Appreciate your input, thanks.

all i have ever learned from computer (from simple stuff to programming, graphic design or even complex mechanical simulations) i have learned on my own and through internet, and i live in a third world country with English as my second language.

p.s. if you are really interested in learning any specific program p.m. me and i can tell you how i learned it if it is in the list of programs that i know.

Thanks,

Will keep you in mind.

Faucet isn't worth your time & most altcoin ended as scam/failure.

As you know, most members in here earn bitcoin from signature campaign. Even the payment is small for newbie, it's still better than faucet or altcoin.
Also, there are many giveaway in this forum, you can check it at Games and rounds (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0) section.

Trading bitcoin is fast way to earn bitcoin, but you need some capital & skill to do it. Cloud mining & mining aren't good option even it's not scam because high bitcoin difficulty, mining maintenance & unstable bitcoin price.
Also, i think with your skill, you better think bitcoin as secondary job.

Yes, going to try signature campaign jobs when I get out of "newbie" classification. Being a "newbie" here is a bit intimidating. Warnings posted to other members from private messages(lol) and lack of respect from above "newbie" members is a bit shit.

I appreciate your input and advice.
